This barbershop is not friendly and doesn’t provide all the services like the others, like hot towel. The barber I had was serious. The barber wanted to get it over with. I have been cutting my hair for several years now at different locations, but this location is the worst. The barber I had seems like there was hatred inside. Not friendly. Not Professional. Not courteous They seem racist I will NOT be going back there. It’s NOT worth the hassle and to be treated that way!😏

I had an amazing experience with Steve at Mademan! From the moment I walked in, he made me feel welcome with his friendly attitude and professionalism. Steve is incredibly skilled—he listened carefully to what I wanted and gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. The attention to detail was impeccable, and also checks to make sure I am liking the cut. The shop itself was clean, comfortable, and had a great vibe. I left feeling confident and refreshed. If you’re looking for a top-notch barber, I can’t recommend Steve enough. I’ve been going to him for 3 years now.

I've been going here, and ONLY here, for a few years. The vibe is right, the haircut is perfect every time no matter what style (long/medium/short/buzz/fade). Every barber is OCD and a perfectionist in the best way, and always clean up with a mentholated hot towel to the head/face. Special shout out to Era!

Ordered master hair cut and scalp detox, everything seems good except that somehow I don’t feel the same enthusiasm like other customers they got even though I gave two of my services 30% tip.

UPDATE: I called back and Sam Jr tried to fix me up. I'm happy with the job he did and while it's a shorter style than I'd like to rock, it looks not as bad now. --- Got an extremely disappointing haircut from Farid. One of the worst haircuts I've received. I do think he tried his best but it was super disappointing. I booked a 40 minute scissor cut and Farid had me out in 12 minutes. I asked for a 3 blended up, and what I got was super uneven. The hair was different lengths on both sides and super shaggy. Farid also went to deep with the clippers in one spot and there is like this depression/hole in my hair that makes it super weird. On the top the hair isn't even from both sides. The left side is much shorter than the right side and Farid asked me if I wanted to change my hairstyle to a fringe halfway through Farid also took the clippers straight to the back removing any volume or shape. I specifically mentioned the shape I like to keep with my hair and Farid just took the razor and made everything flat. I'm sure the other barbers are good but I feel like Farid just did not have the technical skill to execute my very simple haircut. I feel like I paid to visit a premium barbershop but there was no technical skill that a $10 barbershop wouldn't provide. I am really sad because this is easily one of the worst haircuts I have ever received. It will likely take me 3-4 months for my hair to grow back and then I'll have to get it recut at a more professional barber for it to be even again. Lastly, the service I booked said it includes a hair wash, hot towel, and straight razor neck shave, I received none of these.

I’ve been coming to Sam since long before he opened. He is professional & takes his craft seriously. The service is excellent and I always feel like a million bucks after each visit. Everything is very organized and you’ll be glad you went.

The Sam's! Sam Sr. and Sam Jr! I have been to see both Sam's on several occasions. I can, without hesitation, say that my cuts have been the best I've had in my 25 years of being in the City. My hair always gets compliments and always grows out perfectly. I also get a beard trim (with hot lather) and choose the eyebrow trim too. I’ve been going to Sam Jr. for 7 years, and I can confidently say he is the best barber in NYC. After trying many barbers before him, I’ve never needed to look elsewhere since finding him. He is a true master of his craft, paying meticulous attention to detail with every cut. Despite being incredibly busy and booked, he is always on time and never gets distracted. Flora is amazing. I've had great cuts for short and longer hairstyles. Can't recommend her enough. The shop has a great interior too! A tad on the pricier side but you are getting good quality service.
