I had my first hair coloring today at Madison Reed. My colorist chose a color that was warmer and darker than my usual color. The new color was spot on! I'm very pleased with my color and blow out and my overall experience at Madison Reed.

Always great, easy and the perfect way to cover my grays. That being said customers should not be allowed to eat while getting their service or have their phone on speaker. It’s just really unpleasant in both cases.

Kimberly and Daniella were excellent and kind. I had my hair done and styled at the Madison Reed on 18th St./flat iron. I like the vibe in the salon, it’s very relaxed with most patrons doing their own blowout. whether I’ve had my hair colored or highlighted conditioned or blown out, the Stylists there are wonderful & flexible eg. if I want to add a service. A very nice environment and they do an excellent job.

Ana did an amazing job! I wasn’t sure what I didn’t like about my hair but she was able to perfectly translate my thoughts to a color I love. The balayage looked beautiful and natural which was what I wanted. Definitely going to be returning to her again.

Excellent service! I have the roots membership, pay monthly and come as often as needed. So convenient! All the ladies at Flatiron are skilled colorists and I’ve always been happy with the outcome

Flatiron is my home. I love this location as most of the staff are super friendly and with great working knowledge of their station. My last visit my colorist did a great job matching my gray roots with 3 different browns I had. Now I have one shade of brown. I also opt in for an all over shine and seal after my wash. Then staff blew my hair and added a few finishing products and my hair looks great full of body and shine.

Ana es la persona que prefiero me atienda en este salón. Tengo ya varios años viniendo a este salón y he pasado por todas las personas que tiñen el cabello y Ana siempre sale como número uno. Mi cabello a veces no lo pueden teñir otras personas pero Ana si lo logra siempre sin tener que repetir el proceso. Ella es eficiente, atenta y da un servicio de primera además de conocer los productos de Madison Reed muy bien. Hace sugerencias muy atinadas y que me han servido para mejorar mi cabello. Voy a solicitar que ella me atienda para evitar que repitan el procedimiento de tinte como me ha pasado ya varias veces. Ojalá que siga prestando sus servicios Ana pues valoramos quién es. Gracias

I always go to the Flatiron Salon because they are so pleasant and courteous. Anna is an amazing colorist that is competent and offers the best advice I respect and seek her opinion she is never trying to convince to get get extra color treatments. I don't have strong hair and I find that the Madison Reed product makes my hair feel and look the best,

I'm so happy I came across Madison Reed. The monthly membership makes getting my hair colored very affordable. I also love that I'm able to pop in to a color bar before work. All of the staff are very kind as well. Really great experience overall!

Madison Reed is a game changer! I love getting hair treatments but I hate sitting around. At MR, I can get my color updated without an overly drawn out experience. First off, they always have a lot of availability which is great for me because I frequently decide to come in last minute. Secondly, the color quality and service is top notch considering it’s not fancy per se. Finally, the price is right and they have WiFi so I can get work done while I wait. Anna is the best! She understands exactly what I’m going for and delivers every time. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. Yes, it isn’t a full spa experience but you get in and out with great color without breaking the bank.

This chain/product should market itself as being for brunettes and darker. They only have color, so have no bleach or legitimate lighteners. They advertise blonde color and every version of service therearound, when in fact we’re all in for a head full of humiliating orange. Not only do they market themselves as being able to do all around blonde/double process in a way that means you confirm the appointment in the first place, but then once you arrive and they say they can’t, they try to convince you to do their version anyway with the photos of how the blonde is gonna look. When you turn around to look in the mirror thereafter and see that your head is fully orange, what a feeling. They then say they can fix it with highlights, so then you have orange hair with stripes of real blonde. That is the blonde you asked for in the first place. Just go to a real salon instead of paying for more and more services to fix mistakes you warned and inquired about to begin with. I can’t until this wears off or grows out otherwise my hair will break off at this point. … and I was one of three people dealing with this while I was sitting in the chair. The other two were not so mild tempered.

This is a terribly run location. I showed up on time and they were backed up. Unfortunately despite being the first person to show up and being ahead of the 5 other people who also had appointments after me they continued to service others. When I requested to be serviced first they continued to ignore me. I chose to at that point walk out. Also there is no customer service to talk of. No where to file a complaint. Will be canceling my membership. This is not the first time this has happened. There’s no manager and no one to take charge so unprofessional behavior persists.

I LOVE my hair color from Madison Reed!!! In & out no frills but that does not mean lesser quality than full service salons. Each colorist has been experienced and on top of their game. I don't need to friends with the staff, just confident they can provide a quality service. Madison Reed Staff at Flat Iron store exceeds those expectations!!!

I've been coming here for several years and I'm always happy with the color. After several tries, I finally found the perfect shade. Although you can't request your colorist, I've never had a bad experience. Sandra in particular does a very nice job. I highly recommend the subscription service if you color more than once a month. Also, the salon is very open and bright.

Madison Reed is overall a great color bar that meets the needs of my aging hair. I’m overall satisfied with the services I receive. There is one particular person I find to be unhelpful and a somewhat aloof in her approach to customer service. Other than that I’m a very satisfied customer.

The appointment started a little shaky. However, I was able to get the final service that I was expecting. My stylist Rejane finished my hair with the amazing blowout. The experience turned to be really great one. I’m very happy and will definitely come back.

The product is good but the Flatiron has become a factory and I feel badly for the overworked colorists. There is no reception desk any more so everyone is doing double duty which is ridiculous. Why can’t the company afford a receptionist/check in person to facilitate things? It reflects poorly on the brand. Do better Amy!
