Joella was delightful! My roots were white and they fit me in when I was shopping at UTC. She nailed the color. And was spot on! The other staff were busy and their clients had amazing color and that was when they walked in to get done! I was blown away at the 80 monthly unlimited retouch membership too. Bae did a terrific shampoo I did dry my own hair for the first time ever but the products and brush made my hair look and feel like silk. I research chemicals and if you are like me you will want safe and reliable color. It has to take well and it did. I did not itch or burn while I processed and was served a hot earl gray tea which made my experience pleasant and peaceful.

Excellent first time experience! I had Fey who did a great job. I had the roots, gloss and deep conditioner service and loved the results. Everyone was so nice and the salon was beautiful. I will definitely be back!

First timer- did roots, gloss and blow dry. Looks fantastic! Very efficient system and more affordable than my stylist with the 25% discount. I’ll still go to my stylist every 15 weeks or so for all over color, keratin, cut and highlights, but this is a great option for those in-between gray coverage visits. I also bought two DIY kits in my color, for future touch ups, hopefully I’m able to apply well and will save even more doing it myself.

I love this brands at home dyes and have used them for a while so thought I would give the salon a try. Sadly was the worst service I have ever had the colorists were very nice but way too overbooked to do a good job. Went in for a brown balayage and very little color lifted off my dark hair. They covered my roots too and I’m not even sure a timer was set by the time they washed the dye out my scalp was super irritated. They didn’t even wash all the dye off when I came home I found caked dye on my hairline which is super sloppy, had to re wash my hairline at home. To top it all off I then received the worst blow out of my life, left the salon with crispy frizzy hair. This salon does not know how to handle 3a-3b curly hair. If you have unruly dark hair I would probably go elsewhere.

I've been doing my own hair color since I left Northern California in 2019. I LOVE Madison Reed products and the color I use is foolproof! I decided to do an allover color change last visit (which was amazing) and then joined their program and decided to take advantage of the root color and gloss. I LOVE MY COLOR!! This salon is always super clean, the colorists are very professional, welcoming, and make me want to have it done there every time! Love, love, love this salon and the Madison Reed products! 10/16/2024 UPDATE: Went in again and had the same amazing service!

I have been dying my hair with Madison for months now and I absolutely love it. The team is professional welcoming, and they make the entire process so easy no mess no stress doing it on my own. The products are top-notch since I started using Madison‘s product my hair has been healthier is growing and it’s no longer falling out like it did when I use other over-the-counter product, I can’t recommend Madison enough! Plus it’s a woman-owned business, which I fully support. I want to add that you need to upload the app on your phone. It is very convenient. I can text with the staff!! and ask for a same day appointment if available. I have never had to wait longer than 5 minutes to be taken care of with a hot coffee or tea of my choice. Thank you Madison for the amazing experience and product.

Staff is very friendly; however, I waited 27 minutes for someone to begin my color. I was there for 2 hours and still didn't have my hair dry. It is not the most efficient ran salon. My color did come out nicely though. Had I been able to get into my regular stylist, I am usually in and out within 2.5 hours and that INCLUDES cut and blow dry.

I had an excellent experience at the DelMar MDR! Lacey helped correct a negative experience I had at a Northern California MDR and brought me back to life! She was so nice and took the dark brown wrong shade up to a beautiful shade of red, closer to where I wanted it originally. Turns out, this may be my new favorite hair color. Madison Reed ingredients are not as toxic as most, and their color bar service is lovely. Madison Reed the company went above and beyond to correct my color and make sure I am happy with my service. While I would have preferred not to have the error in the first place, the remedy is greatly appreciated. Thank you Lacy and Madison Reed!

I love the consistncy of s the ervice and color . I can go to any branch and get the same results. I live 50/50 in LA and San Diego so it is nice to have the option to go to different locations.

I love their products, the reasonable costs, but especially the great ladies that work there! They are all friendly, courteous, and professional. Plus they know what they are doing! I drive all the way from Temecula to La Jolla to use their services.

The color they use does not have most of the chemicals that most brands and hair salons have. That said the music there will have you wanting to pull your hair out. Also they serve you water in disposable cups, total ecological fail.
