I didn't love the highlights I got, it looked nothing like the photo I showed and my hair looked essentially the exact same before and after. The reason for ONE STAR THOUGH is unrelated - about a month after my service, I got a 75$ charge on my credit card from Madison Reed. I called the number and found out they signed me up for the membership service WITHOUT MY CONSENT. I specifically remember they didn't even ask me about this! Completely NOT OKAY. I ended up getting a refund after speaking with someone for 10-15 minutes, but was so frustrated and upset that they just signed me up for this without even asking. Horrible business practice and I bet they do this to others. If I hadn't have checked my bank statement I could have missed it. If you go here and do not sign up for the membership, keep an eye on your bank account for the next few months!!

This was a post from December 8 that I guess I never pressed post! Chenell did a great job on my hair both the color and the blowout! I also want to give a shoutout and thank you to the wonderful male stylist who waited until I came back over 20 minutes after the salon had closed to retrieve the phone I forgot. I am so sorry I did not get his name, but he was extremely nice and I appreciate him so much. Akila, the young lady who did my shampoo and conditioner, was also excellent. Today, Taylor, whose name I did not know but who was kind enough to wait for me to return to retrieve my phone last time, was my stylist today and did a great job! Akila did the shampoo again and was great today as well.

Great place to get your hair dye. Need to improve on the washing part area. I got water all in my ears and back of neck towards my sweater. My opinion need to be a little more careful and care about the washing.

I have been a Madison Reed member since 2020 and I am here twice a month to keep up with roots. Scheduling is quick and convenient and the process once you are at the salon is a well oiled machine. What a brilliant concept! I have tried most of the Madison Reed salons in the DFW and have landed at Preston Royal as my home salon. The staff is fantastic! Welcoming, friendly and great at what they do! Highly recommend!!

I have been using MD products for years. I have been going to this salon for about a year off and on. Today Taylor did the best color including some highlights! He also gave me a fabulous blow out.

This salon is all about coloring services! I’ve been coming here for full-head highlights for two years. The colorists keep records of your previous color, so they can match it or change up the color. They are also fast. My all over highlights take about two hours start to finish. They also start your apartment on time. I haven’t seen any guys getting color here, but I’m sure they are welcome. The color appointment DOESN’t include a blow dry afterward, but they do have hair dryers available if you want to dry your own hair. Or, you can pay extra for a blow dry. Also, look for coupons online. I almost always find one! Prices here are average compared to other color salons. Parking is in front of the salon. The salon is in a strip shopping area with several stores and restaurants.

Great Colorists, but Subscription Model Needs Improvement I typically have a great experience with the hair colorists at Madison Reed. They truly know their craft and made my hair look amazing! However, I have some concerns about the subscription model. If you miss a month, and your root grow longer then normal, they still charge extra for additional color on your roots, which feels a bit unfair. It seems like the pricing doesn't balance out, especially if they see your last visit was about 2 months ago. If you were consistent with your appointments. I believe that if you’re already subscribed, the extra charges should be reconsidered. Overall, I appreciate the quality of service but hope they can find a way to make the subscription process more user-friendly.

Hardly one to leave a bad review but paid 127 dollars for my hair to look exactly the same and when I expressed I didnt like it the hairdresser just argued back saying this is what we agreed on when it looked nothing like the pictures and blamed it on my hair density. Even the colour was so subtle that I had to get a hair lightner at home and do it in 5 dollars. The hair colour guy just kept arguing and I said can we colour more, he replied with sass not today, didnt say I could come in later. Kept having snarky remarks at how I knew too little but too much at the same time, super unkind.

I’ve been twice for hair color at the Preston Forest location in Dallas and Taylor has done a superb job for me at a much lower cost than my previous colorist. Hair is very soft and conditioned after the color. He is fun to work with as well.

Well, I am disappointed. I was really looking forward to coloring my hair with MR. BUT I guess I will never use them again. My head is so freaking swollen, red, itches like crazy. I shopped around for natural hair color and I picked Madison Reed. I checked the ingredients and thought I was safe. Another let down. I am gonna try coffee next time. One thing I can say about them is the color is beautiful. It just sucks that I can't enjoy it.

I have been going to Madison Reed Hair Color Bar Preston Royal for quite some time now and they are wonderful! I usually ask for Taylor and they accomodate that when they can. Taylor is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Raquelle did my deep conditioning treatment and blow out and she did a fantastic job (I hope I spelled her name correctly). Such a great experience, start to finish. My color looks FANTASTIC, and it's a value compared to the regular colorist I see. The salon is clean, bright and everyone there is friendly. Highly recommend!

It's so easy to get an appointment and the color is always great. Everyone there is friendly and helpful if you need to pick or adjust your color. As someone who likes to get my roots touched up every 3-4 weeks the Pro+ plan is a great option. I also love that I can go to any location and can count on getting the same color. I like that they have an area where you dry and style your hair. They have everything you may need, products, brushes and hair dryers.

The concept of paying a monthly flat fee and being able to have your roots colored as many times a month as needed for no additional cost is spectacular for those of us aging and graying. They are quick, efficient, and have this down to a science. You can also get other hair coloring services which are also at a reduced price with the monthly membership. Love being able to book online. I've been a member for over a year now and can't imagine not having it.

Awe I love my hair! I got highlights and Taylor (? I think I’m sorry!) was my stylist and he was great! Initially, I thought I would like it to be a little bit more brighter, but I think it was just the lighting in the salon because once I got home, I was like damn I look good!! Thank you Taylor!

I love coming to refresh my color at Madison Reed! Their products are excellent, they have a wide range of colors, and the color solution is mild on my sensitive skin. I’ve been a member here for 2 years. The experience is pleasant and the employees are friendly and talented and It is easy to book appointments on their app. I visited the store at Preston and Royal today and Chanel did a fabulous job with my hair! I highly recommend getting your hair color here.

Taylor did my roots today. She nailed the color and did a flawless job covering any and all white hairs!! I also had a very nice shampoo!!
