🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️ PLEASE READ DONT BE ME!!!!!!!! My experience at Mai’s was HORRIBLE I went for Knotless boho bob….. I had 2 braiders on my head who were doing 2 different braiding techniques one was doing a straight braid to the end no feed ins(Mai owner) which cause the braid to thin towards the end and make the braid quality and look of the style I requested, giving home based braider without much experience…… Then I have the other braider who is doing the feed in technique which gives a full braid to the end and makes the quality an look of the braid more of a professional look….. I did get the wrong human hair for the boho look so I’ll take responsibility for that….. I didn’t know there were multiple and never had this style….. But for my hair to be looking the way it look and for the price I had to pay I’m very disappointed in the work and myself….. I’m from Detroit where ur hair is ur crown and glory and u don’t let anyone play in it…… I shud have followed the advice of sum of these other reviews……… I’ll take this L this time but more than likely I will not be returning….. Don’t be like me and say most of the reviews is old and maybe the quality of work have improved over the years well it definitely have not…. Stay away u have been warned👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 UPDATE!!!!! Talked with Mai this morning 10/27 and she is willing to fix my hair so when I get it fixed I will return with a true review hold tight!!! UPDATE!!!!!!! 11/2 This place is very unprofessional, please do not spend ur hard earned money here….. They can not do hair she will play in your hair and will not fix it…… The owner Mai can not braid at all!!!!! I went in on 10/26 to get a knotless boho bob, hair not done as I asked contacted Mai she stated she would redo my hair told me to take it down and rewash my hair had me buy new hair only not to do it😢 she told me to come 7am on 11/2 and I did I sat there in front of her shop texting her and she did not even have the decency to respond….. so I left for a brief moment she called and asked where I was I stated I was returning to her shop in 5 minutes only for her to tell me she not doing my hair cuz she was scared and I’m not sure why because I never threatened her or acted in that manner…… Photos below of our conversation! So please if u value your time sanity and your hard earned money please do not go here she will rip you off! THEY CAN NOT DO HAIR AND IS VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!!

Man who runs this place because what 30 for 2 scalp braids no wonder yall don't get business and then upon calling who ever the broad was who answered sounded like a kid making up prices from the top of her dome I am good what a rip off

I called for an appointment and on the spot Mia came to the shop and slayed my hair. She was neat, efficient and very clean. She took her time and my hair came out just like I wanted it. I recommend her for any services needed..

I have been going to Mai for years. I decided let me go back it’s been awhile even though I had been seen alll the bad reviews about her I’m like naaa she always got me right!! Wellllll listen after 1.11.23 she definitely tried it! I have never been so unhappy with my hair EVER!! this was the worst disappointment ever after having such a rough week! I’m saying this to say this! You have to read reviews and take what those are saying into consideration! People are not leaving bad reviews just because, they leave them when they are not happy and the provider doesn’t do anything to make it right. This is one of the most humiliating experiences I ever had. If I could give her no stars I would’ve! Close this place DOWN

IF I COULD GIVE THEM 0 stars I would. Usually Mai does my hair but when I went there 2 weeks ago it was women in there that I never seen before . I got “knotless braids” the braids had some many knots and flaws as if she didn’t blend the hair properly ! I’ve had these braids for 2 weeks and my hair is literally coming out the braid waist of $250. I get my hair braided all the time and I usually keep my braids in for 2 months and my hair never comes out like this.

Very disappointed in what I got I cannot believe she in good contiousness charged me a hundred dollars for very poor job I would be ashamed if anyone said that I did that travesty and no I didn't pay in advance u asked me what I paid last time and never even offered for me to look at finished product and then chatge102.00 seriously is and it looked like my braids had been in for 2 months when I walked out pulled them out immediately as I was driving away

🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️ PLEASE RRRRRREEEEAAADDD the reviews B4 you go here. The owner Mai gave me here flyer when I was doing laundry. She told me that she starts Box Braids at 160 with hair. When I arrived I found out that she didn't have the hair. So I brought 8 packs from the hair store. When she finished she told me my balance was 300 dollars. I almost hit the floor. This lady is a complete SCAMMER!!!!!! Plz go to Eves Hair Braiding. She starts at 200 but hair is included she will wash I'm treat your hair before she braids it down. If I could give zero stars I would!!!! Stay away listen to the warning. I will NEVER RETURN!!!!!!!! Because I was trying someone new but you don't have to worry about me returning

I'm big on customer service and do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I went in on a Tuesday and spoke with Mai to ask price and get a appointment. I was told by her several different prices and I would be giving the final price on day of service which was scheduled for Thursday at 10 a.m. of the same week (2 days later). I arrived at 10 a.m. along with another lady that was waiting for her for a 10 a.m. appointment (I arrived first) and Mai did not arrive until 10:40. She told me one of her other braiders would come in to braid my hair. I waited a total of 1hr. and 40 mins. before leaving. The other braider did not show up before I left. I was so disappointed. I would never waist someone's time. We as in people have to do better.

The ladies were pretty nice and friendly but the style I showed and paid for wasn’t the style. My usual stylist charges me 25 walked out paying them 50 and giving a 10 dollar tip.... got home looked at my braided hair and though a 5 year old braided my hair called back and told the stylist I wasn’t happy she said I can come back and get it done over I think I’ll just pass on there services.I’ve attach my stylist styles and also Mai hair braiding.

The owner was very disgusting to say the least. I drove over 1 hrs with kids. She said she can do it. Then when I get there she changed her mind and told me God bless you? And had a nerve to be talking mess in her language.Doesnt deserve any service. Wish I could give 0 stars.

When I first went here the service was good and my hair was done good. I went for the forth time and I sat for two hours patently after being told to come. Finally I got up and walked out,the owner and another person came outside and tried to get me to come back in no thanks. The prices are always different.

Where do I start. First let me say I am happy with the end result. HOWEVER, I will not return or recommend due to lack of professionalism. Not to mention the environment was not welcoming at all.
