I called and asked for acrylics they said yes. When they did my nails they can clearly see I have acrylics. Then proceeded to to do dip. WTH? I hate them. Not what wanted but couldn’t leave bc she already filled half my nails already. Never coming back. It’s not like u can’t see what I got on my nails already. 😡

They do a great job! I get dip and sometimes a design and it always looks so nice. They’re clean, friendly and efficient.

Nothing like being told you will not be accepted as a customer again and not to come back after spending $136! 3 pedicures (which were fine) one gel polish and one “manicure “. Description of BASIC ad states: MAK's Basic Manicure: This is your-very-basic manicure includes vanilla lemon soak, lower arms, and hands massage with lavender mint lotion. $20. My husband’s mani did not even come close to this description and they KNOW it. Called and asked for refund of $20. ARGUED with me on the phone then told me to come back next day to talk to manager and get $20. My time is more valuable then running back to argue with manager and after being told don’t come back for any service!?!!! Keep your $20!!!!

Amazing experience! Everyone we interacted with was nice and professional. I asked for a full acrylic set and had a photo of the design I wanted. My nails came out PERFECTLY. The artist made sure she reviewed the photos as she worked and they are even more beautiful than I imagined. I’m so happy & will absolutely go back. 10/10 would recommend.

This was my first time at Mak, and I just got a basic pedicure with gel polish. The pedicure was lovely and the tech I had did an amazing job. I felt so relaxed. I had a little cut on the back of my heel that I told her about and she was very careful to avoid that area. Admittedly I was nervous about experiencing burning/pain at certain points such as when I had my feet in the water or when the scrub and lotion were applied, but nothing! That's how I knew their products really don't include those harsh chemicals that I've reacted to in the past. I will definitely be back!

I am very disappointed in my last visit on 7/17. I received a gel manicure and regular pedicure. My hands and toenail polish began to chip within one day. At other nail salons, my pedicure typically lasts for a month, or until it grows out and a gel manicure usually lasts 2-3 weeks. Less than 2 weeks after my service. I had to completely remove the polish from my hands and feet because they were all chipped and looked terrible. I messaged them several days ago on facebook with this information, but did not receive a response. I thought this salon was supposed to be a higher quality than others, but I was wrong.

Typical nail bar. The experience was regular. Nothing spectacular. The attendant did a good job. They applied a warm towel on the legs for a minute or two. The polish was not bad. Nothing spectacular, though. Appointment was honored at the time selected.

I do not recommend this nail salon. My gel nails began chipping by day three—they were completely chipped before it even reached an entire week. My basic pedicure was decent. However, I highly recommend you stay away if you want quality nail service.

I took my daughter and her best friend here for her 11th birthday for a mani and pedi. Her best friend is 12. The woman at the register argued with me and wasn't trying h to apply the "little royal" pricing for either kid. Yet as attached you can clearly read on their website it states (12 and under). Do better!

I got a gel manicure done for graduation and it’s been 4 days and the polish is coming off…. I paid 120 for GEL nails and a GEL pedicure for them to come off a couple days later? Don’t go here.

Unprofessional. Heckled in Chinese throughout the entire pedicure. Didnt use sterile instruments. Towels smelled moldy. $48 for basic gel.

I have been to this nail salon multiple times but this most recent will be my last. Each time I go I feel like the service declines. I came here with my sister to get pedicures for her birthday yesterday. I got a seasonal and she got the regular pedicure. I paid extra and my tech used the same lotion/ scrub my sister got so nothing was special about it. The scrub used to be applied warm, they used to take their time with massage, they used to serve complimentary drinks. Where we sat to wait for our nails to dry had spider webs behind it and the wall had black smears on it. When my nail tech was done scrubbing and cutting my nails, she placed the tools in the bowl while my feet were still in there. So the tools were bumping my feet and swirling around on the water. I’m disappointed in the service as my tech seemed very distracted and rushed as well. I will not be back.

I was happy at first but as they got closer to closing time my lady RUSHED through the rest of my PREscheduled appointment. My french tips were basically straight across the nail, and i got a second color to underline the white tip and half of them aren’t even touching the white tip. My nails were still a bit sticky after one go under the UV light and i told her this but she quickly felt and said “no they’re good” pushed my hands towards me and got up and walked away without another word. No lotion or anything.

I'm livid w this place!! NEVER again! Went in for a mani/pedi. Was taken back to an older lady, and after discussing, I told her oknill do a gel. Can u match my color in toes. Sure, she said, come to see it's almost clear w a shimmer. I told her, I told u and asked for a darker mauve color like what I had... she tells me "no this color is prettier." To avoid a scene, I told her fine, let's go for my mani!" We'll I decided to stick to the regular color I selected vs. what SHE wanted & thought was pretty! I told her to square the nails and do not cut just file them! Well, she decided to cut all my nails! Who the heck does this lady think she is! Does she know how long it takes me to grow my nails! Paid $73 for this lady to do everything BUT what I asked! I had to tell her to please paint my nails right as she was leaving ridges & missing spokts on my fingernails! Still have cuticles not cut, etc!! Total waste of my money and time! I'm furious and DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Paid a high amount of money for a basic pedicure in which my nails weren’t even cut the same and a manicure that I had to file when I got home and the nails weren’t painted correctly. Not worth the price or wait..

Disappointing experience. I came for a mani-pedi with a friend on Saturday, November 18th. The woman that did my nails seemed disinterested in servicing me. Constantly looking away while filing or painting. My right index finger chipped by Thursday, November 23rd, but I noticed cracks in my nails prior to then. The last two pictures are from Sunday, November 26th. Multiple (if not all) nails are peeling/chipping even though I deliberately paid for gel so that they would last longer. She left a pretty large gap when painting my right thumb which made the manicure look like it’s grown out after only a couple days. I was only visiting so I was unable to return to ask for my nails to be fixed. I gave two stars because they did a great job of accommodating my friend and I, making sure we sat next to each other for both of our services even though we didn’t have an appointment.

It was a very nice place, very clean and the setting was neutral, but my nail tech wasn't so nice. I'm not saying that everyone was terrible, it was kinda just my nail tech. Everything was going well until my manicure. She put my fingers in a bowl of hot water which was nice until she put my dead skin in there. I kept quiet because it was my first time there and I didn't want to seem rude in any way. Shortly after, She was using a sharp tool on my fingers and was going really fast and it kinda hurt. Then, she just plucked my skin right off and I started bleeding. It burned so bad and I was wondering what was burning on my hands till' she told me to go and wash my hands. Whenever I gently pressed on my finger, it would just bleed. My sister was with me too and she also got a mani pedi, but everything went fine for her. We finished out nails and they were about $175 which wasn't bad for mani pedi x2. But I most likely won't be coming back until my finger has healed.

Mani and pedicure- other patrons paid after service but I was asked to pay in between services. Technician did not ask me to wash my hands during manicure, another technician looked me up and down as I was looking at nail polish, technician who was doing my pedicure did not put any effort in the process of massage feet . I picked one color she rudely replaced that color with one she liked by slamming it on the table. Needless to say I believe that this establishment is not used to African American customers so I will never recommend it to anyone or return for services
