Stephanie is the most caring hairdresser ever. She always takes the time to check in throughout the cut to make sure I'm happy with each step, and she asks thoughtful questions about my preferences, which is so refreshing and appreciated. I always leave with amazing hair. I highly recommend her to anyone!

Had a 6 pm appointment. Wasn't taken until 6:40 at which point the owner brought me to a dirty station with remnants of dark hair all over floor, under chair, on table, and on seat. She brushed off seat. I said I didn't want to sit there so she offered one over which was covered in short white hairs from a prior customer. Those were my only choices although there were three clean stations that couldn't be used for some reason. After owner applied color, she sent me to wait in shampoo area for 45 min. I thought she would clean the stations during that time, but instead she was tinkering with the television remote. When she rinsed out my hair, she had to put in an after rinse treatment which she spilled. She said she'd be back in a minute, but had me wait another 15 minutes. When she brought me back to the station, it was still dirty. Hair all over floor, surfaces, chair seats and arm rests. She gestured for me to sit. I said I didn't want to sit there because it's dirty. She gestured to the next station which was also dirty. I said I wouldn't sit there either. She shrugged her shoulders. I then said that I would just leave. I also mentioned that she kept me waiting for 40 minutes which wasn't the first time. I asked previously that she text me if she's behind schedule. There was no acknowledgement of her inconsideration, no apology for disrespecting my time and no apology or recognition for expecting me to accept sitting in a dirty station covered in prior customers' hair. She still charged me and regrettably I was so flustered that I still left a tip because it's in my nature. But she didn't deserve it & in decency shouldn't have processed the payment. I used to work as a waitress. I would never keep a customer waiting for an extended period without an apology. I would have offered them a drink. I also would never expect a customer to sit at a dirty table with debris from previous customer. It has to be clean. It's the bare minimum expectation, but she couldn't provide that, and she didn't bother to clean it when she had down time. Besides never receiving an apology, still being charged, she just unrolled excuses such as not having a desk person to handle calls. Excuses are just excuses. It would have taken just a few minutes to vacuum hair around stations. I've never gone back and never will. I hope she reads this review so she will know that she didn't deserve payment or tip.

I was nervous about switching from my old salon to a new one. Stephanie came highly recommended by a friend. My friend was right. Stephanie evaluated my cut and color and I was thrilled with the results. She did a great job coloring and cutting my hair. I’m sorry I didn’t come sooner! The shop is relaxing and has a nice boutique also.

Such a cute salon! The atmosphere is gorgeous! My hair stylist Stephanie is the sweetest! She’s been doing my hair for 3 years! She finally got to meet my daughter. My daughter won’t let anyone do her hair. She’s very shy when she saw Stephanie, she was all smiles and so excited! Thank you Stephanie for making my daughter’s day extra special! Her smile was ear to ear all the way home😊 You are not just my stylist, your like family. You treat your customers with such care! Love you for that! Highly recommend!

The salon is the most stylish hair place I have been. I am a person who loves aesthetically pleasing environments and this place is perfection with all its interior design from the product selection, green plants, candles and high vaulted ceilings painted in gold. My hairstylist is Stephanie who has been tending to my blonde highlights for a few years now, and she is phenomenal. She is pleasant, knows hair and is a straightforward person. Highly recommend!

Another great visit with Lynne today and left feeling like a million bucks! I had the pleasure of meeting Lynne before she opened officially and this salon is spectacular. Very modern, lots of great boutique items, and most of all, a sense of being welcome and comfortable. So glad to have a great salon in the neighborhood. Thank you again, Lynne, for the perfect cut!

I had my hair cut and styled for the first time last week at Making The Kut and I love it! The salon is adorable with a really cool boutique so that you can shop before or after your appointment. Not only that, but the ladies that work there are very friendly, warm and kind! Lynne cut my hair and she took her time and I felt like I was in good hands! What a wonderful experience! I will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

I have been going to this salon since I moved to Connecticut a year ago. Lynn always does a great job with my hair. She and her staff have always been warm and welcoming to me and my children. My 3 year old loves to go see Lynn and friends. This is a beautiful salon with some of the most talented and friendly staff you can find. I highly recommend.

I love coming into this Salon every time! Each experience is wonderful and it makes me feel amazing and I leave feeling and looking BEAUTIFUL. The women who work here know exactly what professionalism, class, style, and above all- will go out of their way to please you and your hair beauty needs. I wasn’t greeted for 5-10 minutes when I arrived. My pedicure appt started 1/2 hour late. The pedicure basin wasn’t functioning properly. The owner offered excuses instead of apologies and was snippy. The pedicure was bare-bones to say the least and in spite of the issues described above, I was charged full price. The decore is garish although clean. I’ll never go back.
