A solid five star hotel with top-notch intuitive service and great facilities; that swimming pool is quite something. Beautiful, great view over Central Park. We got a room upgrade thanks to their VIP treatment. Corner room, view in all directions day and night. Room service breakfast was icing on the cake. The location at Columbus Circle can't be beat; many metro lines converge there.

Our experience at the Mandarin NY was BEYOND exceptional and that is because of Miles Gomez. I happen to be sensitive to scents, and when I told him I could not stay in the room we were initially given, he immediately responded and I felt heard. I could tell finding a new room was not going to be easy but he did. He was unbelievably kind and patient. What exceptional customer service. THANK YOU MILES for making our trip to New York extra special.

ich reise viel, also weiss ich auf was es ankommt. Der Service, das Personal, der Standort, die Qualität des Essens, die Lobby und die Menschen = Top für NYC Das Zimmer könnte neuer sein, aber das störte mich nicht gross. Die Zimmer sind gross und das Bett bequem. Das Gym hat alles was man benötigt. Auch Erfrischung und Snacks in Form von frischen Früchten etc.. Den Poolbereich könnte man zu einem coolen SPA umbauen. Ich werde in Zukunft nur hier haussieren.

I'm a bit conflicted writing this review because, overall, my experience at this establishment was fantastic. However, it's important to note that one negative experience can overshadow the positive ones. I stayed for three nights, and on my first evening, I stopped by the OM Lounge but was denied service because I had a hot chocolate with me. The next evening, on 01/03/25, I returned for dinner. The hostess (unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name) greeted me, mentioned she remembered me from the night before, and quoted me a 20-minute wait time, even though several tables were visibly open. After 20 minutes, I checked back in because we had reservations at Summit One Vanderbilt. She then said it might be another 10 minutes. When I expressed my frustration, she assured me it wouldn’t take longer than that. At the 15-minute mark, I approached her again and was told that hotel guests were given priority and I needed to wait patiently. At that point, I clarified that I was a hotel guest. Immediately, they seated us, checked our coats, and offered an apology. The manager, Manuela, came over, and I explained the situation. She was incredibly kind and ensured we were well taken care of, which I truly appreciated. That said, I felt the need to share this experience because being a hotel guest or not shouldn’t determine the level of respect and service I receive. Common sense should have indicated that if I was there two nights in a row, I was likely staying at the hotel. Honestly, I would have preferred to pay for my dinner without the unnecessary frustration, especially since I was with my daughter and cousin. I do want to highlight the excellent service from the team at the front entrance and the security guard with the pony tail by the elevators—they were amazing and a credit to the establishment.

My daughter and I went for High Tea at 3pm in January. The view was incredible, the tea was delicious and the food was decadent. It's not an inexpensive afternoon but along with the lovely food and wonderful service, the view is stunning. The experience was worth it. Highly recommend doing this once on a trip to NYC.

En verdad no entiendo ! Cómo es que este lugar está lleno. La relación calidad precio es inexistente. Les doy 3 estrellas solo porque le dieron una cama a mi perro y platos . El hotel está súper viejo , y sucio. Todo el mobiliario de las áreas y habitaciones es muy viejo . Las alfombras necesitas muchas limpieza profunda . Lo único que vale la penas es la ubicación y la vista .

Everyone at the hotel was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Our unexpected room upgrade was beautiful, immaculate, and much appreciated as it accommodated everyone perfectly. ||The colleagues went above and beyond to make this stay extra special. The curbside warm welcome by the doormen Tully and Patrick, Bellman Phil and Freddy assisted with luggage and hotel orientation, Guest Service Agent Robin offered Oshibori Towels and welcome beverages, Director of Rooms made us all feel like extra special VIP’s and Director of Guest Relations Andres escorted to the suite and ensured we were comfortable. Special thank you to guest relations Lucy, Gabby, Annie, Zain, Vanessa and Liza for the birthday decorations and showering us with beautiful amenities. Our visit to the pool was a fun one as Carmen welcomed the swimmers to pool with enthusiasm and offered refreshing infused water after the swim. Thank you Malie, Rebecca and Bolivar in Room Service for the food recommendations. ||Felix in housekeeping was exceptional. He ensured we had everything we needed in the suite to make the birthday sleepover extra special. He delivered a rollaway bed, waters, robes and extra slippers. He sang happy birthday which was a nice touch. ||Thank you all for making this an enjoyable and memorable stay.

From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and it had black out curtains, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The room was immaculate! Housekeeping was excellent! They surprised us with personalized Christmas stockings, amenities and pictures of us! ||||I also had the opportunity to dine at the hotel's restaurant MO Lounge, which offered a delightful culinary experience. The food was exquisite, and the service was impeccable. ||||||Thank you all for a magical stay!

Gut sucked into their New Years Eve dinner. $2,800 later they changed the menu we had paid for- food was mediocre at best. Complete ripoff. Surprising since a previous visit was spot on. I don’t mind paying but this was a total sham

I had an amazing stay at Mandarin Oriental, New York. It was my first time at this hotel, and the service exceeded all expectations. The management's dedication to maintaining the property is evident in every detail. A special thanks to the management team and the kind receptionist (I regret forgetting her name) for making the check-in process so smooth and welcoming. Truly a memorable experience!

I love that this hotel is next to Central Park and connected to the shopping, restaurants, and best of all a Whole Foods market! There are so many convenient shopping places and banks within a couple of minutes walk. The view from both the hotel room we stayed (Hudson view) and the restaurant in the lobby(Central Park view ). There is only one restaurant in the hotel but food is decent so we didn’t mind. The staff are all well trained and courteous. Especially the two staff at the fitness center, they were so kind and helpful. We had to buy swimsuits from the fitness because I forgot to pack for the kids. The price was very fair. They also find wearable floats for my toddler and other swimming gear. When we left, the lady gave us a bag of fruits (I was surprised the selection of the complementary fruit at the fitness center was even better than the restaurant lol.) Overall a pleasant stay, despite the room being a little small considering the room price.

So, this is a long time coming. Many years ago we were visiting NYC. On our attempt to use the subway to get to Serendipity, we took the wrong train. In any case, it was about 10° F and there 6 of us, 2 were small children. In our desperation, we walked into the Mandarin and ask for help. They ordered us a SUV. I never forgot this kindness. So, we went back and stayed there and were snowed in for 2 days. Because it's attached to a shopping center and a whole foods, it made it much more bearable, especially with children. I highly recommend, especially in the winter.

The Mandarin Oriental in New York City is an extraordinary blend of modern luxury and timeless elegance, a true sanctuary amidst the city's dynamic energy. As you enter, the ambiance wraps around you, a seamless fusion of refined, updated decor and a tranquil, world class atmosphere. The Mandarin is located near Columbus Circle. The exterior and interior of the Mandarin is a sight to behold with it's modern luxurious look and feel. It's was like stepping into another world. When we arrived at the front desk, the staff, was friendly and professional so check in was a breeze. They made great recommendations of restaurants to visit and places to check out. The room are spacious and well thought out with attention to detail for everything. However,my favorite part was the magnificent views of Central Park and the New York Skyline. While we stayed here, I made sure to check out the heated indoor lap pool, which was fantastic There were times when it was busy but I enjoyed myself. The fitness center had a lot of great equipment to work out with. Even though I would expect to see more work out equipment. I was was still impressed. I highly recommend the Mandarin Oriental for anyone looking to stay in New York City. Whether you're visiting for a special occasion, a business trip, or vacation, this hotel offered an exceptional experience.

The location is spectacular: the shops at Columbus Circle are next door, and you are at the southwest corner of Central Park. The room views are terrific and if you rent a suite, the views are panoramic. Service is impeccable, whether at the main desk or room service. Special demands do not stymie the staff (I always drive into New York in the wee hours of the morning, full of requests for extra bedding, towels, food and chocolate-covered strawberries!) I discovered this chain in San Francisco and now swear by them in any location!

The service is impeccable and the restaurant is absolutely wonderful. The room was nicely appointed and understated with an excellent view and luxurious shower. And the bathtub has a great view of the skyline for a true new York treat.

This is my second visit to the MONYC property, and once again, it was exceptional. I want to extend a special thank you to Mary at Reservations for reaching out promptly with my booking, Michael at front desk who took the time to ask about Canouan and how the colleagues are coping after the passing of Hurricane Beryl & Yarisol at Guest Services for her outstanding check-out service. I truly feel at home here, as the service is consistently amazing, and the entire team is fantastic. They always greeted me with a warm smile and a welcoming attitude. The MONYC experience is top-tier, and I can’t wait to return!

Way to expensive for such low quality of room but also facilities. Welcoming is average good, but low considering the level of stars. Moreover the pickup at airport organized by concierge is robbery 375 USD one way, when similar cars in city in prices at 150 to 175 USD.

Would leave it a 0 if I could. Booked the lounge for our Christmas day lunch today and it has gone down as one of my worst experiences. From being asked to pay $75 per person on top of the already over-priced buffet to have a window seat, I agreed as it was for me and my wife to have a great experience on our 3rd visit to NY. From the moment we arrived, we were given a table in the corner with chairs that didn't even match the decor. The hostess was rude and tried to say it was the best table in the house. Laughable to say the least. Then we were moved to a better table and we decided to try this buffet and all of their Meats were cold. Stone cold. Then we were told we would get fresh plates. It was the same meat, just heated up in a microwave. We left and would never return.
