Don’t take padi spa!! Scam the old lady won’t clean and finish fast and act dumb when she finishes

Extremely mixed feelings. I’ve had a good gel pedicure experience here before. Decided to come back for gel mani+pedi. I changed my mind and did not like my gel manicure color. I made it clear that I would still pay for the service and requested for them to remove the gel polish, and I profusely apologized for inconveniencing them. DO NOT LET THE MAN IN THE STORE TOUCH YOUR NAILS. He came to remove my polish. They decided not to use acetone but to just use the nail drill for the entire process. It start to hurt on my right hand, so I asked to be more gentle. Then, they absolutely ravaged my nails afterward. They practically drilled down to my skin. I was in so much pain that I cried. I still paid full price and tipped— people pleasing quality of me. I have since been trying to grow out this “injury” exhibited in the attached photos. (Incident took place 5/15/23). You can see how deeply the man drilled. When I took my hands away, the man still wanted to drill more. THERE’S NOTHING LEFT TO DRILL! Never again.

Eyebrow waxing experience… My first and last time at this place, I went in for eyebrow waxing, the lady told me to lay down which I did and she started the cleaning procedure which it bothered my right eye, I told her to be careful because I had eye surgery performed (even though it has been 2 years it still bothers), she said ok but kept tapping on it when cleaning. My gut kept telling me that something wasn’t going good, but as my first time here I thought it was that I was just nervous of trying a new spot, when she handed me the mirror I almost cried, she left me with a bald spot on my left eyebrow, when I mentioned it to her she said my eyebrows were like that when I walked in, I said no ! I see my face everyday and I know I didn’t had my eyebrow like that, she called another employee and they spoke their language then she said that they always take pictures before doing waxing but that she had forgotten to do so this precise moment, I took out my phone and showed them a picture of my eyebrows before and then she said they could take out more on each end to make it even and I said “ABSOLUTELY NOT” I don’t like thin eyebrows, she started arguing that I can shade in with a brow pencil and wait 3 weeks and so for my eyebrows to grow back and then I could go back so they can fix it (what makes them think I’m coming back ?), supposedly she cleaned my eyebrows, they look messed up !!! I told them that it wasn’t my first time getting my eyebrows done (because they kept insisting that it was bald when I walked in). I asked a couple of times “how much ?” She said next time, I was like “you should pay me instead for damaging my eyebrows” 🤧 (I’m never going back there) thank God I didn’t start with mani & pedi like usually, the disgrace on my eyebrows was enough ! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL !!!!! I’m sorry John (my eyebrow & nail tech) I should’ve waited for you !!!!!!!

Horrific service. The manis and pedis provided looks like a child did it. Extremely disappointed. Will not return. If you want quality service, go elsewhere.

The mani ladies are rough and the salon is generally extremely hygienic. Saw a roach scurry by the other day while getting my pedi.

This salon was a huge disappointment. I came in for an acrylic fill with gel polish and sat for two hours just for the shaping of the nails. The mail teach kept messing up the shapes and wouldn’t compare the nails to make sure they were even. When I’d point any issue whether it was with shaping or painting she would get annoyed and spoke badly about me to her coworkers in Chinese. Furthermore, she didn’t put any smell enhancing solution into the monomer so she was coughing and I was getting a migraine since she had stunk up the entire salon. To top it off my nails didn’t come out how I wanted because since she didn’t compare the nails all the french tips look crooked and weird. Overall, this experience was very frustrating and I would not recommend this salon.

After waiting for 40 min, another customer came, when the manicurist became available they took her first saying that she is regular and I still have to wait for the next available manicurist. Such a waste of time in my only day off, very disappointed.

I came for a visit to do several services - one of which was eyebrow waxing. Before waxing, I had told the lady what my preferences were and that in my experience, the eyebrows are first outlined before waxing and she said no need. Then she ends up screwing up my eyebrows, making mine look like hers. When she gave me the mirror, I told her my eyebrows were way too thin and questioned why one side was shorter than the other side. She kept insisting that they look great and that my preferences would make me look ugly. Listen, I'm paying money for the service and made my demands clear. I'm not OK with the fact that this lady enforced her beauty standards on me and wasn't willing to take my dissatisfaction. I left before finishing my pedicure or even do my mani there because the more I thought about the situation, the less comfortable I felt in that environment. Literally went home crying. Please avoid this toxicity at all costs.

I went in for eyelash extensions and left with a horrible experience despite many frequent satisfying visits in the past. This time, only 1 hour was spent on my extensions compared to the 1 hour and 30 min duration in the past. The lady (who’s the boss) spent more time on my left eye compared to my right, which made my eyelashes look uneven in terms of thickness. She seemed to be in a rush because another customer walked in requesting for a manicure. She also doesn’t wash her hands back and forth from handling money in between doing your lashes. If you want attentiveness to the service you are paying for, avoid going here at all cost. I will be going to Burte Lash from now on.

I went to Mandy’s for the first time this past Friday. I just wanted a gel manicure and a 10 min massage. I picked one gel color at first, which was a brand I never heard of. Once the manicurist started putting it on my nails, it seemed like a cheap polish, so I picked an OPI color after that. She started again and same thing. I then realized either one of two things; or both. Either they thin out the polish with nail polish remover, or the owner tells the manicurists to use very thin coats. It took 3 coats of polish and I can still see patches of my nail through the polish. Gel color is usually pretty thick, so it shouldn’t have taken 3 coats. Especially for a dark blue. It was also $28.00 for a gel manicure, way too expensive. The massage was alright, nothing to rave about. While the manicure itself was done ok, I will not be returning to this nail salon. I guess it’s true, always keep going to the salons you know will do a good job and are consistent.
