I was not happy at all. It's only been a week and my hair is looking awful. The foundation for my crochet braids is having loose and my natural hair is hanging on for dear life. I have to remove them; I wasted 100+ dollars on a hairstyle that wouldn't and didn't make it through the month. I am very disappointed with the service. I'm holding on to my crochet braids just for today to make it through my shift. The salon is very unprofessional and needs competent stylists.

I’ve been coming to Mane Attraction since I was a teenager. They never disappoint. The prices are affordable and the vibe in the salon is chill and very relaxing. I love coming here. After my hair is done I always leave the salon feeling confident and beautiful. Thank you Mane Attraction !

UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNORGANIZED !!! I tried to give them another chance after having a BAD EXPERIENCE with them before because I didn’t want to be the black person that turned their back on black owned businesses over 1 mistake or inconvenience but this business is a business that you should AVOID AT ALL COSTS unless you want to arrive for your appointment at 12:00 pm to see your hairstylist doing BOX BRAIDS on another client while you’re sitting there waiting 30 mins to an hour past your SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT time . Like what type of hairstylist schedules an appointment for a time that they’re not free for ??? My 1st BAD EXPERIENCE had consisted of me walking into an EMPTY SALON and asking the hairstylist if she could do 12 cornrows with extensions on my hair while also informing her that I needed it to be done in an hour because I had to go to work . She responded by stating that she was FREE to take me and that she’ll be done “way before that” because it was “only 12 braids” . After 2 braids she stopped doing my hair to wash someone else’s hair . After another 2 braids she stopped doing my hair to dye another person’s hair . She also kept stopping my hair to gossip with her coworkers about people’s personal business . I then reminded her that I had to leave for work soon and that I needed my hair to be done within the next half hour where she then responded by saying “What do you expect me to do ? Rush ?” with a nasty attitude . It winded up taking her 2 hours to do 12 CORNROWS which had made me an HOUR AND A HALF LATE TO WORK . Luckily I’m cool with my boss so I didn’t get in MAJOR TROUBLE but this salon is the WORST PLACE TO GO if you have somewhere to be or don’t have the patience for UNPROFESSIONAL and UNORGANIZED business . My 2nd BAD EXPERIENCE with this salon was TODAY where I had called the salon at 9:30 am and made an appointment for 12 pm just for me to walk in at 11:50 am to my hairstylist doing BOX BRAIDS on another person’s hair . At 12:30 pm (30 mins into my SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME) I had asked her if she wanted me to come later where she responded with “I’ll be with you in a second” with an attitude and continued braiding the other person’s hair for another 10 mins . After that I just got up and left because the level of unprofessionalism and disorganization there is DIABOLICAL !!!

I went in to get my hair braided down to install a U-part wig and the stylist refreshed my curls a little with the curler and I was charged $93 which is extremely too expensive just for a braid down. Smh. I went to a different salon elsewhere and received the same service for $40.

Not Sure Who Is Writing All These 5 Star Reviews It Must Be Family Or Friends Because This Place Is Wack. I’ve Went To 3 Different Hairstylist In This Hair Salon & They Clearly Don’t Know Shyt About Hair. Your Hair Doesn’t Get Blow Dried Properly Neither Do They Part Your Hair Properly Or Neatly. All They Know How To Do Is Use Got2BGlue. Definitely Wouldn’t Recommend, I Tried Giving This Place A Chance With 3 Different Hair Stylist So I Definitely Wouldn’t Recommend. Waste Of Money & Time & I’m Not Here To Tear This Business Down My Opinion Is My Opinion But It Becomes A Fact When The Same Price For The Same Hair Style Is Done 100x Better Else Where. Do Better Perfect Your Craft, It’s One Thing If You Did Your Best & The Customer Still Isn’t Satisfied But You Can See & Feel The Nonchalant Work Being Done.

This is the 2nd time I got my Locs washed, re-twisted & styled at this location; 1st time by a Stylist whose name I can’t recall & the second time today by Kanisha. Both times they Finessed it. Also, I live all the way in Flatbush, but to me it’s worth the drive, since It’s important to have a consistent and experienced loctician when you’re growing them & I haven’t been disappointed yet. Will definitely recommend this location if you have Locs and need them re-twisted real tight and neat.
