I’m convinced Malcolm is a total wizard with hair. He’s given me the best haircuts of my life (including bangs, which it seems is a challenge for many). I was just in yesterday and he colored by hair for the first time too. He made for sure it processed well and really took his time and made sure I was happy with it. I’ve gotten numerous compliments since yesterday on how great it looks. I’ve referred numerous people to him and can’t recommend him enough! Thanks, Malcolm!

This is the WORST experience I’ve ever had in my life not just from a salon but from any business. No customer service, compassion or integrity, insistent on denying fault, I only got an apology (not even a good one) once he realized I had a case and proof against him. It seems like this salon is all about ego. I feel like I was scammed by his beautiful Instagram photos and he completely misrepresents his skills. If nothing else, I hope this review can help prevent someone else from this traumatic experience. Whole story: Prior to sitting in Malcom’s chair this week for the first time, I had long, thick, length reaching my rib cage, healthy hair. Recent photos before and after to prove it. He discussed with me the cut I wanted which we determined would be subtle layers and face framing. I clearly stressed multiple times that I didn’t want anything drastic or any risk of sacrificing the length. He asked if a 1/4 inch at most would be ok and he demonstrated with his fingers how much that would be on the strands of my hair. What I received was a 5-12inch loss of hair, significant thinning without my permission that created split ends/breakage from the technique. The top portion of my hair abruptly ends chin length with a 5 inch blunt & abrupt difference between that and the rest of the hair. He misrepresented the results of my hair by pushing all the hair from the back to the front while looking in the mirror and when he gave me the mirror for the back, he pushed all the hair from the front to the back giving a false appearance of full hair. After calling first and leaving a Voicemail, I returned to the salon the next morning in hopes of any accountability/apology leading to an adequate resolution that’s not what I received. I patiently waited approximately 45min while Malcom worked on his current client. When he addressed my hair he said “I just don’t see what you see. Was your hair really that long? Easy fix. We’ll just put a tape-in extensions on each side. Easy. There, beautiful.” and then I was dismissed. There was no remorse or compassion from him at all. I had to go to another salon the next day and pay to correct his “fix” as the extensions were placed too tight and caused moderate pain to my scalp within the next few hours of installation and served minimal benefit. I didn’t feel safe returning to Malcolm to fix it and risk subjecting myself to further damage from him. I shouldn’t have to wear any extensions as the result of what was supposed to be a subtle hair cut. Now, my only options are to cut my hair into a bob style that I don’t want or I’m left with an unexpected financial burden of undesired hair extensions. $1200 for the extensions & initial installment, then $200 every 6-12 weeks until my hair grows to a suitable length that can be corrected, which is estimated to be at least a year. I’ve never had to get hair extensions in my life as my hair has always been naturally full and healthy. This has caused me emotional and financial distress. I was robbed of years of hair growth and left with an overgrown mullet. I was excited to have my hair cut because I thought this was a reputable salon, but this lead to a time consuming, emotional and financial nightmare. A complete breach of contract. The salon owner never reached out to me. There’s no customer service. Malcolm insisted that the problem was the way I styled it, but that picture from an hour after leaving the salon…HE styled it. He insisted on denying fault & lied and was gas lighting me. He lied and said he was dismissive to me because I was condescending, but the reality is I was extra nice and polite because I felt uncomfortable telling someone the work they did was terrible. He sent a video from when I was in the salon in attempt to continue gas lighting me. They have audio recording on their videos, so it proves I wasn’t rude at all or even close to it. I finally received a partial refund, with the comment “there’s no need to debate a haircut”. My friends, family, coworkers are all shocked about the thinned haircut&lack of service.

All of the staff is wonderful to be around & Megan is so sweet & knowledgeable. I typically go in with an idea of what I want & Megan creates a color that’s better than I could have ever imagined. I always look forward to my next appointment 🤍

I have black hair and Dani made my blonde hair dreams come to life all while keeping the integrity of my hair! She was personable, professional and fun to talk to! She’s done my hair twice, and I won’t go to anyone else.

This was my visit to Mane & Co and I cannot recommend it enough. Dani was my stylist and I was blown away at the finished result. I told her I didn’t think my hair had ever looked so good and I stand by that statement. If you are in need of cut and color, Dani is your girl!

Dani and Maddie are nothing short of amazing. I won a giveaway for a full color service with them in December and I just had my appointment today. I was so nervous going in as I haven’t had my hair professionally touched in so long. I was so worried I’d be embarrassed and feel out of place. They were so kind, warm, and welcoming. My hair was box dyed and just needed some love for sure. It looks absolutely incredible. I’ll be a client to them for years to come after today. If you are needing somewhere new to go then run don’t walk to see these ladies. I am just so thankful and blessed. You all have made me feel like a new person. THANK YOU! 💕💕Dani and Maddie are not only phenomenal at what they do, but they’re equally phenomenal people.

Let me say that the stylist here seem sooo good on Instagram and I was really looking forward to making this my go-to salon. Unfortunately, I was canceled on literally an hour prior to my appointment when I was already 30 minutes into my hour & half drive to the salon on my birthday and a week away from wedding. My job requires a lot so it is really hard to request off and ended up wasting a PTO day for nothing. The stylist never texted me back with a solution or to re-book, even when I expressed that I was already almost there. When asked if there were any solutions, I received no response. I get that life happens and things come up last minute BUT at the bare minimum show some respect to your clients. Could have at least provided the bare minimum customer service in this situation. Was already stressed that day so having this happen literally ruined my birthday plans. I work a very customer service based job and I would never leave someone hanging without finding a solution or at least communicating with them to find a solution. This experience has turned me away from the salon unfortunately and I'm really bummed about it.

Absolutely loved my experience at the salon! It is nicely decorated and has such a welcoming feel. I am really happy with my stylist Sarah, who is so patient and accommodating. She did my hair beautifully and I couldn't have asked for more!

I have gotten my hair done by Alex for the past four years and I cannot say enough good things about her! She is so genuine, professional, and she is the best hairstylist in the business! I’ve recommended her to all of my friends and family, and we now bond over our great experiences with her. She listens, she treats you like a friend, and you will leave looking and feeling like a Queen! So go ahead and book your appointment with her, I promise you’ll thank me later ;)

I will say this….I only saw one stylist from Mane and co. One that I had actually seen for years. The quality consistently went down hill. She was always too busy to really care for my hair. I have the unhealthiest hair I have had in my life. Lots of breakage. She truly didn’t care about me unless I was an “influencer” or someone that she could make more money off of. When she was at Josies she actually seemed like a genuine person, and hey I don’t hate the come up, I get it, but don’t forget the people who referred for you and made you. She destroyed my hair. I was her business card. People that leave, “influencers” or not, are your business card. I haven’t been back in 6 months. Do you think she has reached out? After the last color I had to have someone correct it, after trying to contact her and being ignored for weeks.
