DO NOT COME HERE FOR COLOR! I came in last week asking for red (inspo pic is the striped shirt one) and they gave me a horrible, patchy look with bright red roots and brown ends (close up pics). I used a wash out color that was supposed to come out in 6 washes 4 MONTHS AGO and they blamed the result on that. They said I could come back in later in the week and they could fix it. I assumed they would bleach the whole head and start over during the redo, since skipping the all over bleach the first time resulted in the dark brown ends. I was hopeful since they showed me a color book and pointed out a perfect cowboy copper tone I was looking for. Well, when they’re almost done processing I asked how the copper toned would lift the brown ends (I was just curious) and they said oh it won’t be copper it will be brown. What?! That wasn’t what they had indicated at the start of the visit. The final result was neither what they told me at the start of the visit nor the description they gave me during processing. Instead it ended up a dark dark auburn. I’m so incredibly disappointed and embarrassed by my hair. I can’t believe I had to pay so much for something so far from what I wanted. If I wanted this look I would’ve bought a box of dye from HEB. The cherry on top was how they “styled” my hair. I had to put a hat on to leave the salon (Last picture). Please please take my warning and DO NOT COME HERE FOR COLOR OR CURLY HAIR!!! Edit: the following section was added in response to the company’s comment. Hello, I did disclose the color to Bethany before we began our first service. I explained what I said in the comment and how (based on the box instructions) it should have been well washed out after four months. Despite how poorly my initial appointment went, I chose to give Bethany and the owner a second chance to achieve my initial color request. Since I was so clear about my disappointment in the first appointment, I was astounded when Bethany told me she hadn’t had a chance to review what I wanted when I arrived for my second appointment. She said she had been too busy. When you showed me the swatch I said I would like the lighter cowboy copper, and you said the other swatch you had chosen would give me a similar effect. It did not, it gave me dark brown. I wish you could have done the swatch I preferred or explained to me why we could not do the color of my choice. My expectations were based on the discussion Bethany and I had BEFORE my first consultation. I’ll remind you I did disclose my prior color and she explained that we would still be able to achieve my goal color since she works with other clients whose washout color causes no problems in lightening. Can you please provide me with another reason for the disappointing outcome of your services since your assumption about me neglecting to disclose color history was incorrect?

I’ve known Alix for decades and she is an amazing human who also happens to be an extremely talented hair and make up artist. She and her company are always learning, growing, and pushing into new and exciting services. My daughter loves coming in for services.

Mane & Company is truly a hidden treasure! I initially visited their downtown location for a root touch-up and left with the best color and cut of my life. Of relevance is that, despite having very thick, textured, and difficult-to-manage hair, Alix, the owner, gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. Her talent is pure magic, and the blowout was absolutely flawless. I first discovered them through their coffee shop, and when I heard about the new salon and spa at Saks Fifth Avenue, I had to experience it. My time at the spa was incredible—Alex, my esthetician, was so knowledgeable and made the seaweed wrap in the wet room an unforgettable experience. I went in for a simple root touch-up and left completely in love with everyone there. It’s a must-visit! My husband & I are going back this weekend for a couple’s massage.

Alex is exceptionally talented and gifted! After going through 7 salons in San Antonio, I lost confidence that any salon would get it right. I accidentally came across Mane & Company while at Saks. I went into the salon, fell in love with the atmosphere , style , and design of the salon. I did my research and reached out to make an appointment for color correction, hair cut, etc. I chose Alex because you can tell how passionate she is about her ARTISTRY! As my hair was processing, I was so amazed as to how talented the stylist and colorist are there! I believe the stylist that was next to me, his name is Jordan, oh my goodness, the blowout that he was doing had me wowed! I am writing this review because my experience not finding the right salon left me truly dejected. If you are having a bad experience, please from the bottom of my heart, go to Mane & Company! I wish I would had know about this Amazing salon! Mane & Company are located at Saks , North Park and on Broadway and if you are ever in New York City, Mane & Company is also there. I too need to mention there is a little furry friend I met there, her name is KIKI, she runs the show and is a LOVE! Also , did my eyebrows, called lamination, the young lady that did them too is very talented, Again ladies if you are having trouble finding a colorist and to top that an amazing hair cut/style go there, I feel like myself again! OMG! Will follow with a before and after picture. Thank you Alex for this AMAZING experience!

I came here to get a blowout for my brother's wedding. My stylist was phenomenal; she was careful to consider the pastels I just put in and hair felt amazing for the next two days. I thought the service was going to be more expensive for how posh the place felt and was pleasantly surprised!

I’m not one to leave reviews but this place is GREAT🥹. I am so so happy with my hair. This was the first time I’ve ever sat in a salon to get a haircut and i wouldn’t have it any other way. I've been going to Mane & Company for a few years now and Alix and her team consistently do an amazing job. They have taken my hair from blonde, to grey, to red, and I am always blown away by the results. I even trusted them to do my hair for my wedding, which turned out so beautifully! The atmosphere in the salon is fun, luxurious, and professional, and I love that I can sip on a drink from the next door coffee shop, Kiki's, while I get my hair done. Alix is such a knowledgeable resource in her industry and has been a great business owner to work with. Highly recommend!

Location is in a nice area connected to a coffee shop. Salon is clean and beautifully designed. Products used left my hair smelling amazing and made me feel like a million bucks. Bethany did an amazing color and cut to my hair. The blowout styling made me feel soo beautiful. They also helped me achieve my hair goals while staying in budget. Best customer service, thank you again to Bethany :)

The overall experience was great. My hair turned out great and the service was excellent. All of my questions were answered and any concerns I had regarding budget were addressed. I can honestly say they my hair color and has never looked or felt better.

Hairdresser wasn't amicable, made zero effort to converse, it was a really depressing and awkward atmosphere. I felt uncomfortable the whole time. Hairdresser didn't ask if i liked the color before washing all of it off, didn't even show me the color she was going to mix before. I had to ask her. zero technique went into the dyeing process as she just slabbed the dye on my head. in result, different parts of my hair were darker and some lighter because my root area picks color faster. i felt like my hair was blotchy and she said she saw "dimension." When washing she didn't let me know what products she was using on my hair. Usually the wash part is my favorite part, but it was not relaxing at all. I don't even think she got all the product out of my hair bc my hair felt greasy in some parts. She left some dye spots on my face too. As for the cut, she basically chopped off all the length that i wanted to keep. I asked for long layers and it felt like she didn’t care how she was cutting it. she cut it really fast and cut it off in chunks. i’ve seriously never seen a hairdresser do that and i felt like i was gonna have a panic attack. she didn't show me know how much she was cutting off and ask my if i was ok with it. My hair feels super thin as well. Seriously regret coming here and even paying for this horrible service. I really tried not to lose it while i was there, but I seriously can’t believe y’all would treat a brand new customer like that.

I was so impressed by this salon. It was my first time in and Ysa did the best job. All the ladies were so sweet and my haircut was amazing. If you need a razor cut for sure go to Ysa.

I went here at the end of July for a cut, and honestly hadn’t been anywhere in San Antonio bc I moved here a month ago! My cut looked great and my stylist was very nice and personable but I felt it was really pricey for a dry cut with no styling. I ended up paying 90-100$ for a dry cut (and tipped 20$). At the time I wasn’t sure if that was the norm here so paid it and went on my way, but upon talking to other stylists that is really high for the area so just wanted to give that feedback!! It was a super cute place otherwise and my stylist did a great job.

Location gorg and clean, stylist had a great personality & advised me properly on correct hair styling steps to take next to make my hair look it's best (lowlights at next visit), the adjustments she made to my current haircut that day made everything look much better, and the cutest little puppy hung out with us at the chair the whole time. Richard is very meticulous and he takes the time needed to get my cut exactly right. He is a good communicator (asks lots of questions) and is very client service focused. And, Mane's partnership with the connected coffee bar enhances the experience...a great "perk" (pun intended).

There's a unique level of care that is placed on your hair by the stylist! Literally, after walking out of the salon, and into Northstar mall, the sales representative at Sephora kept complementing my hair. Recommended she visit Mane and Company!

Very accommodating and friendly staff. It was my first time getting a haircut from a salon in Texas and Richard made the entire process enjoyable. He also made sure I was comfortable during my haircut. He made suggestions to my hair which I am very pleased with.
