I feel like I've been floating around looking for a stylist for a while now. I've had some very good ones, but I none like Lupita. She is truly curious about all things hair, and it showed. It was my first time with her and she took extra time to really talk-through everything with me. She asked me so many questions to get a sense of my hair, my routine, everything. Only after did she give me my haircut. And while she was doing everything, she educated me on my hair type and strategies I could take to keep it healthier. And...she didn't do the "4-5 inches" thing. So many times I go to a stylist to get my hair cut and layered. "I'll take 2 inches off" they say, but they end up taking so much more. She says she'll take off 2 inches, she means it! She listens. And often, when I get layers, they cut my top layers too short, which I don't like because I like keeping them long. Again, she listened. I was so impressed with my cut, I'm really looking forward to going back.

First time getting my haircut in- years! Lupita made my “first” experience warm and welcoming. Love the amount of knowledge she shared with my friend and I about products and hair. You can tell how passionate she is about hair and teaching others how to take care of our textured hair. It’s almost like you’re talking to a friend you haven’t seen in awhile, she’s so genuine and sincere. Thank you so much for helping me understand that I need to take care of my hair as much as everything else! Love how welcoming she makes you feel, you can talk to her for hours on end! I love how my hair came out, thank you so much! I look forward to our next appointment:)

I have had the best experiences working with Lupita and would recommend her to anyone. I have long, thick, wavy hair, and have had several bad experiences with people not understanding my hair or what I was asking for. Lupita has given me *exactly* what I asked for every single time. She is highly skilled and passionate about what she does, and all of this shows in the end result. I don’t trust my hair with anyone else!

Lupita is THE BEST! She has been my stylist for years. She is so knowledgeable and talented. I trust no one else to cut my hair! She also helped me take the leap to a short pixie cut recently and I get nothing but compliments!!!! A number of my friends follow with her for coloring services too. Well-rounded stylist who is so kind and friendly.

Lupita is amazing! I have VERY thick hair, and I am always nervous about getting it cut/styled because a lot of stylists like to take shortcuts with thick hair. Lupita was so amazing, thorough, and made sure to let me know what she was doing along the way to ensure that we were on the same page and I would love the final product. Despite being so thorough, she was able to get my hair cut and dried in ~2 hours (which is a MIRACLE for me). My hair looked so luscious and like it had come back to life once she was done. Highly recommend her, cannot wait to go back again.

I am new to the area and was very nervous to look for a new hairstylists because I wanted to choose someone who could skillfully handle my thick wavy hair. Lupita is incredibly knowledgable and a true professional with her craft. Not only did I walk away from my haircut appointment with an awesome new hairstyle, but I also gained a better understanding of how to take care of and style my hair. The space was wonderfully decorated, extremely neat, had nice vibes, and she offers some beverages/ snacks. Lupita is amazing at what she does!

I was in a bind two weeks before my wedding and suddenly had to find a new stylist for a much needed haircut. I have longer, curly hair so I can count on one hand the number of stylists that nailed it. Lupita not only saved the day, but was also a pleasure to meet. I’m someone who cherishes their sleep a lot so having to wake up earlier than needed to do my hair is something I don’t really enjoy. HOWEVER, since getting my hair cut with Lupe I literally wake up and my hair is ready for the day. It’s been a few weeks since my last haircut and I swear it keeps looking even better as the weeks go by! 🙌🏼

Lupita is a hair magician!! I've seen her a few times now for haircuts (including getting curtain bangs for the first time in my adult life) and I cannot overstate how exceptional her cuts are. They look amazing the day you leave the salon, they look amazing for months after, and they grow out amazingly until you're ready for your next appointment. Even with my distinct lack of styling skills, waking up every morning just got easier because I know my hair will be rocking, all thanks to Lupita and her scissor magic. Can't recommend her enough!

Lupita is an amazing hair stylist. She took the time to explain to me the complexity of my hair and what hair products to use. She even went as far as giving me product samples instead of just pushing product. She's more concerned with building client relationships than just keeping it strictly professional. I've gone to her for haircuts and formal updos. I've always leave feeling amazing and not just on the outside. Everyone that I referred to her has had the same experience. P.S. She always has snacks for you incase you come in starving like me lol

Lupita is an incredibly talented hairstylist that deserves every bit of recognition for her craft. As a woman of color with pretty thick wavy hair, I’ve found it quite hard to get good haircuts and color before. Not only did Lupita do an incredible job but also she made me feel so welcome and comfortable the whole time. She took the time to explain what she was doing throughout the appointment and was super patient with my questions on the cut and care. I have never felt so confident in my own skin and am thrilled with my cut and color. It suits my face shape and skin tone perfectly and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.Will definitely be heading back!

Lupita is the best! She is not only incredible at what she does, but she actually takes the time to answer your questions and explain things in a way that makes sense. She really understands what look you’re going and your hair texture and combines those to give you a perfect cut. She also gives great advice on how to maintain your hair between appointments and I can genuinely say my hair has never been healthier!

Not only is she a pretty amazing human, but Lupita’s knowledge and eye for detail are none other! Her product expertise has helped my at-home care immensely and the health of my hair has drastically changed for the better since seeing Lupita! I always love how perfectly my hair lays after a haircut from her. :) I also took my husband to Lupita, since he has some unruly hair at times, and the way she was able to cut his hair so it always laid ~just perfect~ is impressive!

This was my first experience having my hair cut professionally (and during a business trip.) Lupita was patient and kind. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate; I felt safe and comfortable. She offered me snacks and a beverage, she was on time and not distracted throughout the entire appointment. When she said precision cut, she meant it. My hair is light and flawless. I plan to fly back to Chicago to see her!

When I first met Lupita, I didn’t realize my hair had any curl… or that I was missing a chunk in the back. 🤣 Now with her guidance it’s healthier and happier than it’s ever been! A true hair science-artist!
