I got a “curly haircut” from a stylist who specializes in curly hair, and the experience left me really disappointed. It was a dry cut, and the way she was cutting seemed completely random. She was nice, so I decided to trust the process. What surprised me most was that, despite being a curl specialist, she didn’t know how to properly style my hair afterward. I walked out with frizzy hair and immediately put it in a ponytail. Now, a few weeks later, my hair is noticeably uneven and lacks shape. When I blow it out, it doesn’t fall the way it usually does when it’s been cut properly. I paid $140 for a haircut that seems like I did myself. For me, a good haircut is about how it evolves over time and maintains its shape. This whole “random dry cut” approach just didn’t work for me.

Mane Fixation has the best and friendliest stylist I’ve ever met in L.A. the space itself is down to earth and peaceful. A lot of hair salons in LA are intimidating and poorly organized. Make Fixation always welcomes me with a warm energy. I especially love Veronica and her attentive listening to all my needs. I love Mane Fixation!

I'm here to review Belen. We did a video project with Refinery29 where she dyed my hair red and it was gorgeous. I felt informed and relaxed the entire time. Brittney Lee is, without a doubt, the best hairstylist I’ve ever had, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone in search of a new stylist. I’ve always been loyal to my hairdresser, but when my barber relocated to San Diego, I had the fortune of meeting Brittney. When I first came to her, my hair—once a well-kept lavender French crop—had turned into an unruly mop with faded purple hues and visible roots. Unsure of what direction to take, I turned to Brittney for suggestions. She expertly considered my head shape and personal style to propose an idea that I instantly fell in love with. Not only did she transform my two-toned bleach mop with brown roots into a sleek, even shade of black, but she also delivered the best haircut of my life. Together, we established a vision for a longer hairstyle, and Brittney has been diligently working to maintain it and shape it into the look I aspire to achieve. I cannot recommend her highly enough for all your haircut and color needs.

Moved here from TX 2 years ago and needed to find a good cut close to my place. Read reviews about Cynthia and booked with her. I have a blunt bob and she executed the cut very well + the shop is cute and she is very sweet. We have great conversations and it's always a highlight of my day to go in.

I highly recommend Lizette for a curly cut. She's really been teaching me a lot about my hair. I so appreciate all the advice she has given me on how to manage and style my unruly hair. I recently had the pleasure of getting a haircut from Cinthia, and I must say it was an excellent experience. My first time here and I couldn’t be happier. Lizette took good care of me and was very attentive to detail. She listened to what I was looking for but also recommended a few styles that fit my head shape. My wife loves my new hair style and I couldn’t be happier. This salon is everything that makes for a great experience. The space is inviting, clean, and open, and bursts with an inclusive, welcoming, good-vibes-only energy. The staff is wonderfully approachable and kind, and Mike is incredibly skilled and knowledgeable. He knows what I want before I do but truly listens and thoroughly explains everything to make sure we're both on the same page before the first snip or mix. I've been here 3-4 times now and EVERY SINGLE TIME, I come home with a huge smile and burst of self-esteem that only a great hairstyle and uplifting experience can provide. Thanks for making the girl in the mirror a happy chick with a kickass 'do. Appreciate you!

I’m highly critical of haircuts and THIS PLACE honestly knows what they’re doing. Every single time I leave I say to myself ‘now this is the best haircut I’ve ever gotten’. It’s a dream to find Veronica and know my hair is 100% taken care of. I’ve recommended my whole community to see her and continue to send people to her. She somehow makes hair looks like it’s glowing. I’m not sure how she does it. 10/10 recommend

255 plus tip for a single process color on short hair is absolutely ridiculous given the fact she didn't cover up all the gray hair. She was rushing and not focused on the process. Now I'm out 255 and need to still get it fixed. I only went because I thought it had good reviews but it was not a good experience and extremely over priced. Frustrating..im speaking up because it was too much money to not do a good job. Im sad.

After 3 years of not getting my hair cut, I finally decided to make an appointment and I'm so glad I made it at Mane Fixation. The space was open and really inviting, they even have two adorable pups roaming around! William was my stylist and he did amazzingggg. I gave him a brief description of what I wanted and he was very attentive and took his time, he checked in regularly making sure I was doing okay through out the process, which I really appreciated. I am so happy with the result, went from having flat lifeless hair to beautiful volume filled long layers with face framing curtain bangs, I’m obsessed! I will definitely be coming back regularly for maintenance with William!

Definitely a great place in Studio City with pleasant and down to earth vibes (so much better than some salons). I get highlights in my hair a few times per year- I saw Michael for color and cut and he did a really nice job and gave the professional advice I came for.

First of all, I love the space! It's airy and filled with plants. The salon was not very busy when I went in. With all the plants and open windows, it instantaneous made me feel more relaxed during this post-covid time. My hairstylist was William. He is very observant and noticed that I part my hair a certain way right when I walked in and designed a haircut with me based on my habit and haircare routine. I asked for something chic but can be made casual and fun if I want to. William gave me just what I wanted! I wear the haircut to a wedding and got tons of compliments. I'm definitely going back.

I took a chance at this salon because of all the positive reviews. Asked for a very simple cut - all one length. When I got home and straightened it out myself it looked like someone took a pair of garden sheers to my head. I specifically asked the stylist to please double check his cut. He assured me he checked 3 times. It’s hard for me to believe how a professional hair salon could have so much trouble with a one length cut. I’m assuming if it is not lack of skill it is lack of care & attention. Either way, very disappointing. I reached out to the salon but nobody has called me back.

I was impressed by the service provided. William did an amazing job styling and trimming my curly hair. The blowout lasted over a week. William made sure I felt welcome and at home by offering coffee and water. Would highly recommend this salon. Great Vibes!

Just left the salon feeling great! William did an amazing balayage for me with a hair cut. I am beyond happy with the color and the blend 🤩🤩🤩 go see him for sure to get your summer color! I am only sad that I had no where planned to go this afternoon with such amazing hair- it’s a shame!

So I came in because my fiancée wanted a unique haircut and purple color, and my uncle would have laughed in my face before giving me what I was getting. Lizette cut it expertly. Color is amazing. Even adjusted the price to be fair. It wasn’t my fave look, but she made it a pleasant experience, and for the fiancée (who it was for), he loved it. If you’re looking for an alternative female buzz cut, I recommend Lizette. Probably spelled her name wrong though.

The whole vibe was totally modern , clean, and welcoming. Personally attended to by William a wonderful hair artist who has ten years plus experience. Consultation vibes where on fire ! Williams ability to capture the desired result was priceless, very agreeable when asked for modifications, specializes in hair extensions ! All around impecable service ! Def recommend .

Was supposed to get a pixie cut and basically got a men's haircut. My stylist asked me to come to my appointment early and then made me wait more than 30 minutes after I arrived. Once I got in the chair they rushed through my haircut leaving several pieces uncut and disproportionate to the rest of my hair. I showed them how I wanted my bangs to be angled and they cut them super short and straight across. I'm giving this review two stars because the staff was nice and I liked the vibe inside. I wouldn't recommend going here if you need a pixie cut.

Went to this salon a couple months ago and a stylist named Alyssa completely burned off my crown area and left me with extremely stretchy/gummy hair. After she took the towel off chunks of my hair flew up because it was fried off and couldn't stay down anymore. She knew how badly she messed up my hair because she didn't blow dry it after, gave me a free haircut, and sent me home with wet hair with a "mask" in it. Although the damage was really bad from the beginning, it only got worse as my roots began to grow out because I saw all the underneath layers that had extreme breakage as well and were just covered due to how short it was. She claims to be a blonde specialist but it's what she aspires to be, and if you want to save your hair go to someone else.

William stepped in to expertly fix a bad cut that I had received from a different salon. He is so friendly and fun to chat with — and most importantly did an amazing job with my hair. Highly recommend!
