Erica is the best. I found her on yelp and decided to give her a try because of her great reviews. She did an amazing job coloring my hair back to its natural color, as well as cutting off my heat damaged hair. I’m excited to keep working with her and get my curls back! 🥰

I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair color but Erica! She is the absolute best. She really prioritizes the integrity of your hair above everything else. I went from a deep brunette to red in one session and was obsessed with my new look and how healthy my hair felt afterwards. The new location is great too!

Curly hair girlies if you are looking to get a curly cut…I highly recommend Erica!!! She is so professional and guides you through the process explaining throughly what she’s doing to your hair. She’s so sweet! You won’t regret it, go to her! I am so in love with how my hair feels!!

Erica is wonderful! She really listens and takes the time to explain exactly what she is doing step by step. I showed her my dream color and to my delight I got exactly what I wanted. She blew dry my hair with a round brush, fixed my split ends and gave me the prettiest beach waves. Erica also advised how I could maintain the health of my hair. Her shop is very comfortable and the location is great. Needless to say, I will be a returning to Mane Slayed because Erica is an amazing hair artist!

I can say I had the best experience with erica. Not only did she make me comfortable she made my hair feel amazing. I'm usually bit skeptical with hair stylist but looking through her page and the hair colors and styles she did. I felt like she would do an amazing job. Which she absolutely did. She did the color I wanted and showed me how to take care of my hair. Definitely would be coming back. I absolutely recommend her!!!!!

I would 10/10 recommend Erica for a haircut. I asked for a trim and blended long layers and got exactly what I asked for - my hair looks great even when it's not styled thanks to Erica's cut. She also had great tips about hair care!

Erica is the best hairstylist Ive ever met. She made me feel completely comfortable. She definitely felt like home being in her chair, very wholesome ! She corrected my previous haircuts and she listened thoroughly to exactly what I wanted. I told her my past experiences with color , she reassured me with discussing the process and the products used. Super gentle when washing and when she was blowdrying my hair , I felt so relaxed. So far 10/10 experience. If you wanna feel like a queen , Mane Slayed is the place to go !

I wanted something drastically different from my normal hair color and I consulted with Erica. We went with purple, which I’m in love with! Erica was wonderful to work with. Explained the whole process from beginning to end. She’s friendly, easygoing and did an amazing job on my hair! I highly recommend you book with her!

10/10 results, experience, and process. I came in to dye my full head red, but I didn’t want any red. Based on photos I showed her, Erica mixed me up the most perfect and unique shade of red, exactly like what I described. I am so happy with the results. The salon interior is also awesome, which makes the whole process kinda fun. You are lucky to have found this salon- you’re in great hands!

Erica has been one of the best hairstylists and colorists I’ve been to. She is thoughtful and with care works with you to develop your look. Erica is absolutely amazing! She does an incredible job with highlights and unique color - I have naturally very dark hair and it’s always a pain to get it light enough and not brassy. My purple has never looked so vibrant!

Erica is the best!!! I’ve been going to her for a few years now - for curly cuts, regular cuts, bangs, blowouts, and especially color. I am constantly changing my hair and Erica is always able to make my vision come to life. Erica’s work is phenomenal. It was my first time getting my hair professionally colored and I was really nervous because I didn’t want to have it damaged or come out bad. She did everything perfectly, she listened to what I wanted and executed the vision. She educated me on the process and informed on all the steps she was doing step by step. I felt comfortable and confident. My hair looks amazing and I am getting compliments left and right. I was referred to her by someone else and now there’s a whole group of us who go to her because she’s that good!

I had the best experience here when I was in a pinch to have my hair done before a wedding. I received a dye job at another salon that left me feeling self conscious and luckily I found Erica who was able to fit me into her schedule last minute. The moment I sat in her chair, I immediately sensed she was a great stylist. Not only did she know exactly how to fix my hair to make me feel like myself again, she is also extremely friendly and pleasant to chat with, plus the music in the salon is so fun! I had the pleasure of meeting Erika and getting my hair cut and done by her. It's been so long since I've gotten my hair done professionally. So I was a little worried about it. Nevertheless, I was so happy with the results and she slayed my look! I explained to her what I wanted and she definitely met my expectations. I recommend anyone looking for a hairstylist who is caring, passionate and knowledgeable to come sit in her chair. She made me feel welcomed and beautiful at the end of the session. It was also my Birthday so I gifted myself a new haircut and it was worth it. I've received so many compliments, I'll be booking future appointments with her.

I was referred to Erica by my friend and she is a winner! She gave me a cut, color (bayalage), and blow out and she did an amazing job. I haven’t had my hair colored in YEARS and she gave me such a lovely refresh. (Honey gold highlights on my natural red.) The cut also came out great. She listened so well to my consultation but also offered her professional opinion and you can trust her with your look! She is also warm and kind. The salon is super cute, clean, and it would have been quiet except I ended up chatting with her and the other client for the duration haha! But that should tell you the vibe there is relaxed and open. Oh! They use Olaplex products if that matters to you. Highly recommend her. ♥️ Ps- I have frequented very high end Manhattan salons for years until trying her. The cost here is less and the service totally comparable- just a better environment in my opinion.

I went to Erica to get my hair professionally dyed for the first time. I heard from her though a friend and I was excited to get my hair done. Before this, I had been dying my hair on my own but she made it look SO much better and healthier. She made my curls pop 😌. Erica is very knowledgeable about hair and she really knows what she's doing. She is sweet and thoughtful and is great at making people feel comfortable in her chair. Moving to a new state and finding a new hair stylist is always risky. I was fully ready to try a couple before I found the right one here in Brooklyn. After going to Erica, I have no intentions of going elsewhere. She's sweet and makes you feel comfortable the whole time. She's honest and she's talented. I'd recommend her time and time again!

Erica Pabón (@maneslayed) is the only person I trust with my hair. She has been cutting, styling and coloring my hair for about five years now and she is the absolute best. She goes above and beyond to make sure you leave looking good and feeling amazing. Even when I haven’t lived in NYC I would still make the trip back to see Erica just to get my hair done. She uses top notch products and works with you to make sure you’re getting exactly what you want. She’s not just an incredible talent but she’s cool as hell. Going to see Erica is like catching up with a friend - except a friend who transforms your hair! The salon Erica is in now is super chill, friendly and fun. I could not recommend Erica more.

Erica is so sweet and skilled! I have very vibrant hot pink hair and I’m very picky about the shade. While it’s hard to match sometimes, I trust Erica to make adjustments and hear me out. It’s been about a month since my last appointment and I just got so many compliments the other day about how vibrant and nice the color still is. I would absolutely recommend Erica for her taste and execution in fashion colors :)

I cannot stress enough how much I ❤️ Erica and the magic she works on my hair. I started seeing Erica a few years back at her old salon and knew I had to follow her wherever she went next. Erica does my balayage, ashy toning, layered cut, Olaplex and styling and she 👏 slays 👏 every 👏 time. For years prior to Erica I tried to achieve this ashy look with other stylists and I was left with warmer tones and subpar color all around. As you can see from my photo, my color is super cool toned. Erica also so fun to chat with, which is necessary for a hairdresser given how many hours you spend together at a given time. Ask her about her daughter for cute stories. 10/10 Erica! Can’t wait to see you again in August.

I haven’t been taking the best hair of my hair and Erica was gentle and communicative, giving me feedback and pointers while doing my hair. To say that Erica is incredible at her craft would be an understatement! She is a talented artist who has an extensive knowledge and understanding of hair and proper products. I always leave feeling beautiful, and even months down the line my hair still looks impeccable. Erica is not only talented, but she is a beautiful human both inside and out. All of these reasons are why I plan trips around my appointments and travel across the country just to have my hair done by her in NYC. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars on this review!!!
