Such a hidden gem in the Loop that I wish I had come across eons ago. Multicultural, professional, relaxed, and family like atmosphere. You can't go wrong here, and you won't be disappointed.

I really wanted to like this place - I gave it 3 tries with 3 different stylists but I just haven't had great experiences. Most recently, I came in for a haircut. I told the stylist Harley that I have thicker, curly/wavy hair so I wanted lots of layers and that I part my hair on the side. She was super nice and seemed knowledgeable, but she parted my hair down the middle when she was about to begin cutting. I reminded her that I parted it on the side, but she said no she'll cut it with the part in the middle to make it even. I guess I should have spoken up again because she cut all the layers with the middle part, so now when my hair is parted on the side, one half has MUCH shorter layers than the other. It looks and feels really uneven. The last straw that made me want to leave a review was that she didn't dry my hair. She asked in the beginning if I wanted it to be styled, I asked if this would cost extra, she said yes, so I said no thank you. In the past at this salon, when I said I didn't need to pay extra to get it styled, they would still just blow dry my hair. Not this time. She put one product in the hair and that was it. I was too shocked to say anything. I put my hair in a bun and walked home in disbelief. I've never been sent away after a haircut with wet hair. As a result, I also didn't notice the uneven layers until I got home and dried it myself. Really weird experience and still unhappy with my haircut.

Emily always does a great job cutting my hair. Mane Space is a perfect location for me too, just a few blocks from my shop. Everyone there is very nice and the views of the lake are fantastic.

I randomly walked in there 11 years ago and still go there to this day! To the shes out there, you might experience random slow motion movie scene hair bouncing moments up to an hour after exiting and gents, you walk out looking crispy, trust me! Shout out to Dana and Gevai!

This is the second time I’ve used their services and I highly recommend Yuvi especially for fun hair coloring. All stylists are independent and the services are reasonably priced. The space itself is beautiful and well lit.

I always get nervous before coming to a new salon, but this was one of the best salon experiences I've ever had! All staff members are so kind and helpful, and I got legitimately the best haircut I've ever had. Dana is the best! She gave me exactly what I asked for and helped me to decide what would look best on me. Absolutely worth the price point due to how high quality of an experience it is, I definitely recommend coming here especially if your hair is thick or difficult to cut.

Yuvi was my hairstylist. & she was absolutely amazing. Will definitely be my new go-to. Made my hair go from unhealthy & basic to healthy, beautiful & unique. She has a great easy to talk to personality. Just thoughtful & great at what she does. Highly recommend my girl Yuvi. 😊

I love getting my hair cut here! Laura knows how to deal with my pesky and tangly hair to make it look nice. Her prices are low for the downtown area. She has a few package deals that also save you some money. I'll keep coming back here as long as Laura is here!
