Went for a much needed “day for me” yesterday ! The Hydra facial with aesthetician Regina is like botox and lifting without the chemicals. My skin is GLOWING today and i feel the collagen filling up my skin again naturally ! Because all the steps of this VERY THROUGHLY facial stimulates the production of collagen! Just AMAZING! Brazilian mani and pedi we all know is different than anything you ever had . The nail polish meets the very end of your cuticle line because the expert manicurist actually remove all the cuticles up to t growing line ! Perfection ! And my eyebrows w Vivian now are so lined up that they make a difference in t look of your eyes ! And of course i had to get my roots colored and my scalp massaged by the divine hands of Fabiana while she is washing and conditioning my hair while removing the excess color off my hair . JUST AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE ALL AROUND ! Do exactly what i did and lmk if your “day for yourself “ was not incredible also ! Happiest holidays to ourselves . We deserve all ! And more !

I’ve always enjoyed visiting your salon, but during my last visit, I felt somewhat overlooked. Considering I pay nearly $400 for my hair service, I was surprised that some of the work was done by an assistant, without proper follow-up or a final check to ensure everything looked right. Additionally, the product wasn’t given sufficient time to work on my hair, like the other times that I went there, which made me feel like the process was rushed. It’s very disappointing because your salon is a lovely place, but this experience fell short of the service I expect at this price point and tbh I don’t know if I want to came back since it’s not the first time!

I've been going to see Regina Barbosa at Maria Bonita for more than ten years(!) and I cannot recommend it more highly. Regina is an absolute legend, especially when it comes to eyebrows -- if you want to look your best, make an appointment with her immediately! The entire place is so friendly and wonderful -- I always love my visits. Thank you!

Responding to your comment: NOT a FAKE review so stop trying to deflect. Just admit your mistake and move on. Original comment: This place took advantage of my Brazilian student (Luiza) who doesn't speak English fluently. She went in and asked for a manicure and pedicure and they gave her a Brazilian + French + Gel. She walked away with a bill of $360. So many NYC businesses take advantage of people who aren't from here and it's despicable. Also, she got this service done on May 10th and it didn't even last ten days.

My hair looked flawless! And they were nice to take me in without an appointment.. yet tge hair dresser was on his phone txting he literally put the brush down so many times to txt and then went back to my hair I mean how rude? When I first seated they asked if I wanted to drink anything but that cup of tea never arrived so yeah no tip I guess! Although I was so grateful to be taken as a walk in at the beginning

Went here for the first time after being recommended. The experience was good very friendly. However the environment is more for Portuguese/ Brazilian people. My hair stylist was a very cool person but being that I don’t speak Portuguese it was a lil difficult to hold a conversation. While getting my haircut he decided to speak his native language with one of his colleagues and was talking about me making me feel uncomfortable. He made a statement that blew my mind and I felt that was unprofessional. He began to laugh and state how everything he said to me my response was “good “ “ all good” and from my previous experiences when ever I do go to a hair salon I let the stylist do there work and don’t make it to complicated. Being that I am not very fluent in Portuguese I did understand and have intermediate knowledge in the language. This was Very disappointing &’ customer service was a 3. Oliver was my last stylist I’ll be ever going to. He overly dried my hair unnecessarily and cut off way to much when giving him instructions to make sure my bangs are long not short. LAST TIME I GO HERE. THE NEXT DAY I WASHED IT AND CHECKED IF BOTH SIDES OF MY HAIR WHEN BEING PARTED IS THE SAME LENGTH AND IT WASNT. Total disaster and upsetting. he cut and didn’t even ensure it was equal he more cared about styling it rather then ensure it’s a even lengths.

AMAZING experience from start to finish! I rarely leave reviews but feel compelled to after spending several hours there today. I have been coloring my hair for more than 20 years and am very particular about who does it (I have a lot of grays that can be hard to hide). I have a black tie wedding tonight and was getting cold feet about the salon I had initially booked an appointment with. After reading reviews, I decided to take a chance and make an appointment at Maria Bonita. Oliver Francisco is truly a master colorist. I have high standards, which were surpassed by his work. On top of that, I was able to get my makeup done and a mani/pedi while I was there. Everyone was warm, welcoming and did an excellent job! Will definitely be going there again, and would recommend it to anyone I know!

Agendei maquiagem com um profissional e fui atendida por outro, até aí não haveria problemas. O profissional que me atendeu era péssimo, fez uma maquiagem horrível e tive que retirar assim que chegasse em casa. Falei que não estava gostando e mesmo assim ele insistiu em continuar.

I was very well looked after in the salon! They gave me exactly the haircut I wanted, everyone was very polite. And I will definitely have my hair done with them again, the price is super affordable and correct for the work done.

Just got a wash and blowout with Rik and his assistant. AMAZINGLY FAST AND INCREDIBLY GOOD. Highly recommend this salon as they are full service and do main’s and pedi’s too with very reasonable prices. BRAVO! I’ll be back 😎

Super cute salon that does hair and nails all in one, they fit me in right away to get my gels off. Great service/hospitality it's cute and decorative inside and they bring water coffee or wine to you while you're there and everyone is so kind. However I did leave with one finger bleeding since it was cut too short and the gel is still kind of on (and nails have raggedy edges). More concerning was that the nail clippers that drew blood went straight back into the holder with the rest of the tools. Eek! I still paid the full $15 for the removal but hope next time they'd be more careful with nails/ actually fully take the gels off and separate any tools that are exposed to blood from other tools that might be used in others to ensure health of customers

This was my first visit here and I had a wonderful time. I had a manicure and pedicure with Ada, who was efficient & friendly. Although, I was rushed to pick my color, it was mostly my fault bc I arrived 10 min late. I would recommend coming early to pick your color because it seems like they are on a tight schedule. The manicure and pedicure were meticulously done. They use some but not all single use tools, if that’s something you’re looking for. I felt everything was sanitary. My only complaint is that they didn’t have matching gel & non gel colors, so my toes and hands didn’t match exactly. I think it would be nice also if they had sample rings of the nail colors they have as well. I also got a great blowout which was so fast and turned out beautiful! They even gladly used a coloring conditioner that I brought in myself. The ambience is very fun, lots of chatting and liveliness. It reminds me of the salons where I’m from in Miami. A few different people offered refreshments which made me feel especially welcome. You can expect a lovely Brazilian beauty experience and an opportunity to learn a few words in Portuguese! I’ll definitely be back!
