I wandered into this salon as an out of towner with no appointment. After I gave vague instructions, the hair cutter showed me some pictures, I agreed, and got a well done and fairly elaborate women's haircut for $30. They don't accept credit cards, but she was kind enough to wait while I went across the street to the gas station ATM and back. It is a calm, clean, and well run salon. I was a little nervous with the Spanish reviews since my Spanish is a work in progress However, she didn't have any trouble communicating with me in English about the haircut. Much more predictable than the Spanish only haircuts I've gotten in El Paso (those have been good too, but I am never completely sure what will happen during them). Based on my experience, this is a good place for both English and Spanish speakers.

I like going to small businesses for haircuts so I stopped by as a walk-in. I got the cut I asked for, so I want to give this place a good review. Too often you ask for something and come out with your hair not looking right. For me, I always ask for a very basic trim, straight across. A lot of stylists try getting fancy- like they can’t believe all I want is a straight trim. The stylist here gave me exactly what I asked for, which was refreshing. She was friendly and professional when I interacted with her. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because I did feel like it was overpriced. I paid $30 for my cut, which would have been an acceptable and competitive price if I had asked for layers, a wash, and a blow dry. But considering that it took her 12 minutes max to trim my hair, there was no wash, there was no blow dry, there were no layers or anything fancy… it just seemed a bit steep. I previously lived on the west side and my favorite salon only charged me $15. I wanted to try and find a new salon closer to where I live now, but I may just have to continue going to my old place. Still, like I said, it’s a nice little salon, and they seem to try to give you what you ask for.

My dad took me here when I was 3 and I’ve been going here ever since (I’m 23 now). Elvira does it best, she’s the only person I trust to cut my hair.

Color was not done here, went in for a quick hair cut. It came out very cute, cut was a reasonable price. Walk-ins welcomed.
