I wanted to love this place and Marianas skill set but unfortunately I had a poor experience. Mariana and her crew work on multiple clients at once so do not expect a personally catering experience. I was in the salon from 10am until shortly after 4pm for a base color, partial highlights, and cut (which I did not receive). The color actually came out way darker than my hair was before when we were going for lighter. I’ve had this exact service done at other salons for the same cost and half the time. I’m also told in advance at every other salon if a service will be longer than 4 hours to prepare, but not here. My main dissatisfaction was the lack of communication between the stylists and how they reacted with me about it. While Mariana was with her other stylist in front of our mirror Mariana asked “you’re getting a cut right??”. To which I replied “yes just a trim!” (It was part of what I scheduled). As a business owner myself, I take it as my responsibility to know what needs to be done each day and found this question to be unprofessional. After the other stylist dried my hair. She asked if I wanted curls. Which I thought was odd but it was my first time here and I don’t know their process. Also this stylist was standing right there at the time when Mariana previously asked about getting haircut as well. So I said “sure! A little would be nice!” The stylist proceeded to curl my hair which turned out ok…with the fact that Mariana was right next to the chair working on another client this entire time and didn’t take the time to notice, intervene, or mention anything at all about the fact that I was still due for a haircut during my hair being curled. After the curling. I asked about the cut, Mariana and the stylist looked at each other like they never communicated this at all. So I did not get a cut and neither an apology towards myself either. The other stylist just said “You never told me she had a cut” to Mariana, while she said nothing back. But they were both standing there when I was responding to the question that I was in-fact scheduled for a cut as well. And Mariana was at the chair next to us fully visible that my hair was being curled and said nothing until it was done and I asked about my cut… It made me feel like it was my fault that I got curls and now my hair won’t be trimmed either. I am a business owner and property manager professional and the service and reaction I received was absolutely unprofessional. I understand people have “off” days. I still had left a reasonable tip on top of payment because I support small businesses. Unfortunately I will not be back.

I have been going to Mariana’s for a little over one year. One of my girlfriends highly recommended her, and after seeing her profile on Instagram, and looking at the beautiful work she does on there I booked an appointment. The best blowouts are Dominican blowouts, and I have gone to both Dominican salons and American salons in Sarasota and Bradenton and have not been impressed. The biggest highlight for me is the fact that she does appointments and adheres to your appointment time. I originally went to her with long hair wanting bayalage. I had gone to another salon the year prior and when they did my hair, they left the tips looking orange, which is not what I wanted. Mariana did a beautiful job on my hair including trim, condition, and the famous Dominican blowout — I was hooked!. Since then, I’ve gone from long hair to short hair, traditional straight blow-drying, wispy to wavy, bangs and no bangs — and Everything in between. I go approximately every 4 to 6 weeks, and I have not been disappointed yet. There have been a couple of times where I book an appointment for a haircut and blow dry but when I get there I realize that I need to touch up my roots. Mariana, still accommodates me, and sometimes I even blow dry my hair with Naomi who does an excellent job as well!! I highly recommend her and her team!

I have been looking for a long time a beauty salon like Mariana’s cause my hair is so thin and delicate and I need it someone who really cares about it. Mariana is really spectacular; she really cares about my hair. I’m really happy my hair is beautiful and healthy !!

Please DO NOT DO A KERATIN treatment at this place. i got an appointment with the owner, another younger helper ended up doing the application of the treatment and it did not last not even 1 week! I have done keratin treatments many times in my life including Ybera which is a wonderful quality product. I paid 275 dollars for this treatment 250 charges and 25 in tips and it went all to waste. When I told the owner she said to let her know when I would want to be retouched that the guarantee their work for 15 days. I texted her back to request a day to go see her before the 2 weeks were up. She told me I was supposed to buy the Ybera shampoo and conditioner. I told her I was using a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner already. They never told me I had to do the shampoo with Ybera products in my appointment. They never took me back to see what was happening check my hair or do anything. 1 week later and after 2 washes my hair was totally the same frizzy and wavy. She argument she used 3 ounces in my hair and charged for 2. I can only say they did not use enough product on me and maybe not enough heat. I only take the time to do this so other people know and don't waste your money
