Maricel is unique, unlike any other hairstylist I have ever met. She has studied various aspects of hair far beyond the bare minimum (chemistry, coloring, haircutting, etc.) and if you have curly hair, she is your holy grail! I first met her when she was offering a curly "reset" package, and was hooked. I am so curious what my hair would look like if it were straight and she did her cutting magic...but what my curly hair looks like after a visit is enough for me to know she is highly skilled. The studio is a private room, quiet with aromatherapy and spa music. Maricel is very pleasant to chat to, but equally happy to just sit in silence with us both reading or checking out phones, without feeling the need to make constant conversation. Overall a calming environment. Maricel is a total fount of knowledge, and she will even put together a personal hair care regimen after your first visit where she spells out which brands and products and what kind of hair care she recommends for your hair. Text her back with questions? She will respond quickly with everything you are wanting to know. A visit to Maricel is not inexpensive, but it's worth every penny IMHO.

I’ve had a great experience with Maricel! I wasn’t sure how to explain exactly what I wanted, but she just got it. She’s clearly experienced, professional, and easy to work with. If you’re not sure how to put your vision into words, she’ll take care of it and make you feel right at home. Highly recommend!

Maricel gave me one of my favorite curly haircuts ive ever had. The whole experience was so pampering, i felt attended to and relaxed the entire time. More importantly she is so knowledgeable and provided the most useful tips on how to care for my hair. 10/10 experience would recommend and this will be my go-to place from now on.

I’ve been seeing Maricel since 2019, and I continue to be thoroughly impressed with her service. From the moment I walk in, she always makes me feel welcome and takes the time to understand my needs, offering insightful suggestions that respect my preferences. Her extensive knowledge about hair care and styling is evident, and she’s consistently meticulous in ensuring every detail is perfect. She also does an amazing job with my kid's curly hair, demonstrating great skill and patience. The end result is always a fantastic haircut that looks great and feels healthy. Maricel is not only skilled but also kind, attentive, and clearly passionate about her work. I highly recommend her and will continue to return for all my future hair needs!

Loved the whole experience. Maricel is just amazing, was super helpful and did a great job on my hair. I went to her with my hair concerns and not only the treatment I received made my hair feel great but she also taught me on how to take care of my hair. She took the time to ask all the questions about my hair concerns and what I was looking out of the appointment.She knows her stuff and you will not be disappointed. I got a hair treatment and a haircut and I love it - will be a regular here :)

My 14 yr old daughter had been asking for MONTHS to get highlights. Through a friends recommendation we found Maricel. So grateful we found her. The time she spent with Maya, asking questions about what she wanted, how she wanted it to look in the end was so valuable. Maya absolutely LOVES her hair!!!

Maricel does an amazing job on my hair every time and I have been going to her for over 8 years. I trust her completely with my hair. This wonderful lady, Maricel Murphy, helped me learn to love my hair. It's always been difficult to manage but she gave me a wash and go cut that falls into place effortlessly! Before she started cutting she sat down and listened to my concerns, needs, wants and let me show her the hair style pics I had collected on pinterest. Then she gave me a free olaplex treatment ($25 value) that really helped bring my hair back to life! I can really see a difference, my hair is visibly healthier and shinier. After all of this she then styled my hair and explained each step and each product as she applied them. But she didn't stop there. Before I left she went through each step again one by one making sure I knew how to do the style myself. With the olaplex products she used she was not pushy with me to purchase them, she simply offered them and let me decide.

Maricel is a true professional and an outstanding teacher. She listens to you and takes the time to really educate you. The cuts and colors I receive are top notch. She will recommend products that are the best for your hair type. Don’t even get me started on how amazing her head massages are!!

I never knew how much I didn't know about my own hair. Maricel was so thorough from the beginning. She asked me about my hair history, and my hair routines and through that conversation I learned that what I was doing for my hair type was actually all wrong. From the wash, to the cut, to the styling, she was educating me along the way and my hair looks great!

Maricel is amazing! She’s super knowledgeable about how to maintain healthy hair and my hair has gotten so much healthier since going to her. Best color and haircut I’ve had too. I have very curly and think hair and she’s able to cut it in such a flattering way. I’ve always had a struggle finding hair stylists that do a good job of that. Highly recommend!

I have been going to Maricel for many years now. From pixie haircut, highlights, and bobs, she has always done a fantastic job. I love her attention to detail, she will spend whatever amount of time is needed until she and the customer is happy with the haircut. I have never felt pressured to buy her products, she provides the information about what you could use but it’s ultimately up to you what you get. She has also agreed to quiet appointments when I have been stressed from work and didn’t feel like chatting, it didn’t feel awkward or anything, she handled it perfectly. If you want a very professional stylist, excellent hair, and the right service I would definitely recommend you to her. I don’t go anywhere else anymore.

Maricel Murphy is a true artist! I'm picky about who cuts and styles my hair so I tend to find someone I like and stick with them. Maricel has been cutting my hair for several years now. Everyone feels better when they feel like they've got a great haircut. Maricel delivers for me every time. I also enjoy the atmosphere of her salon. It's very much a personalized spa experience with soothing music and scents. It's very relaxing so I always feel calm and relaxed when I leave. If you are looking for someone who will listen to your vision, make suggestions based on your individuals needs and hair type and do their best to deliver on your vision, I'd definitely recommend Maricel.

Maricel is a miracle worker!!! My hair was overprocessed, completely fried, and she brought it back to life!!! She listened to what I liked vs didn't like about my hair and came up with the perfect solution of how to fix my hair. She is so gifted!' I truly wish I had a before pic so you could see how awful my hair was before she got her gifted hands on it!!!
