Maggie!!! is seriously amazing! I went to her nervous about going blonde since my hair is naturally brunette, but she totally blew me away. She really knows her stuff and made the whole process feel so easy. What I loved most is how much she cared about keeping my hair healthy. She used the best products and took her time to make sure there was minimal damage. Now my hair looks incredible—bright, blonde, and still soft and shiny. If you’re thinking about going blonde but worried about the damage, Maggie is your girl. She’s the go to hair colorist in NYC!

The stylist at Marie Robinson are amazing! Nick for color and Simmons and Whitney for cuts. I’ve been seeing Nick for color and he is always so kind and considerate. Simmons does my hair and Whitney does my daughter’s they are absolutely amazing!

Came in as a model for Ray, I had an amazing experience. Results were exactly what I wanted. Felt very comfortable asking him what I wanted and received exactly that. Will definitely come back for my next blow out :)

My long, straight hair was cut into a one-length, long-ish bob by Ray, an apprentice stylist under the watchful eye of an educator (Tomo?) who stepped in as needed to demonstrate, snip and check the work. Ray was super nice, asked what I was looking for in the haircut, then washed, conditioned, and cut, and blow-dried my hair with care. It turned out great! I’m glad he’s got more than a year left in the program, because I will be back!

I’ve been going to Marie Robinson for over 10 years and never had a bad experience- every stylist and colorist is top notch and they have a range of price points for both cut and color. Also it’s a big salon so easy to get a last minute appointment.

I went to here for single process color at a friend's recommendation. The color didn't cover but they fixed it - so far, so good. Then it happended 2 more times, even though I told them each of those times what had happened before. When I went back to have them fix it (because I couldn't wait the last time), the colorist told me it was too complicated. So I spent $700, plus tips, only to be told too bad. I shouldn't have given them multiple chances but I sure won't be going back.

Yelena was my stylist, she’s lovely and terrific at cutting. I hope to go back when my hair is longer so she can work more of her magic! Annika did my highlights and colour, first time I get colour there. I wish they told me cash tips only because it cost me a lot more to get tip $ from the ATM as I’m Canadian! Service fees xtra fee of 11% from ATM!

Recently went to the salon for my first time and was a model for Ray. He provided excellent customer service and constantly checked if I was comfortable during the service. Ray provided a beautiful haircut and a stunning blowout. Got compliments the next few days of my hair. Will definitely ask to see him again!

Went for a balayage through Salon apprentice in Feb 2022. I asked for a gold balayage but my hair is black , so I said go as light as you can but don't fry my hair, I am ok with lighter browns. The girl did a most terrible job. All the highlights were in the inside of my hair with the upper hair just black. Additionally she added money piece strands. The one on the right was 1 thick white band. Imagine Rogue from X-Men with white on only 1 side. When I tied my hair into a ponytail it looked like one side of my head now had white hair. People came upto me to tell me how terrible my hair looked and ask what I was thinking. When the expert at the Salon saw what had been done she said, "Oooohh peek-a-boo highlights" how cute!!" I didn't ask for peek-a-boo, I asked for a regular balayage. On the left side there was a sharp line from which the color started, not any blending. If you are wondering why I am complaining after nearly a year, it's because I don't like confrontation and I smile and walk away. Today some pictures from Feb popped up and it just reminded me of how badly these people effed up my hair and how ashamed I felt to go anywhere. I didn't even get to hide the horror by tying my hair as explained above. My husband kept asking when I would dye my hair back. Bad balayage job

my earring got ripped out of my helix piercing from aggressive washing even tho i told her beforehand i have piercings and to please be careful but she still did not consider. lost my $3000 diamond earring while washing my hair. will not take responsibility and tried to blame it on me for both the pain i experienced and the missing earring. no empathy or sympathy given. the girl washing my hair was joel’s assistant. she did not even directly say sorry to me, the one to talk to me when i called them out was the manager. will never be coming back!
