I am a wedding planner in the Portland area and always recommend my couples to hire Marina for their day. She is amazing, does an incredible job and has a great energy which is what you want on the morning of your best day. I recently had the pleasure of having her do my hair and makeup, and I was blown away and felt so confident and pretty leaving her studio. If you are looking for someone to see for hair and makeup services or more (she does facials too) hire Marina, you won't regret!

This review is long overdue - Marina is the most talented HMUA in the PNW. I loved working with her for my wedding in September, she was so kind and patient to me and my family. I wanted a less traditional wedding look (60s glam) and she executed my vision perfectly. I was blown away by the results, I felt absolutely amazing because of her. She’s talented, reliable, and an absolute gem of a human! I can’t recommend her enough!

Marina did my hair and makeup for my wedding and it was absolutely stunning. First of all, working with Marina was a dream. She is just a joy to talk to and be around. She always made me feel like the prettiest most confident version of myself from the hair and makeup trial all the way to the wedding day. Any time I asked questions or had slight tweaks she was so receptive to them. I also have the unique situation of having little to no eyelashes and it was important to me to have false lashes for the wedding — she made it happen and they stayed the entire time!! Seriously Marina is the best! Hire her!

Marina helped make my wedding day INCREDIBLE! She was so fun to work with. Provided such a good calming energy throughout the day. She is a true artist and was able to accommodate a variety of looks for my wedding party ranging from bold sparkly eyes to my mom’s subtle look. She handled all the chaos so well and for that I am extremely thankful. My makeup and hair was ASTOUNDING I have never felt prettier. I am not a usual makeup wearer and she accentuated my beauty perfectly and I felt so comfortable. I really was ME - but better! I wish I had the skills to look how I did on my wedding day, every day. My hair, as well as my wedding party’s, was also incredible. Styles held all day and looked exactly how we envisioned. Marina also has other services I have used like eyebrow waxing. She has taken my overplucked early 2000’s eyebrows and salvaged them! I can’t recommend her enough for any service from a basic eyebrow wax to wedding day hair and makeup. Thank you Marina!

I don't usually write bad reviews for small businesses, but Marina canceled on me at the last minute for my styling appointment. This is highly unprofessional and caused me a lot of stress the day before I was to attend my close friends' wedding as the Maid of Honor. Future customers, beware !

I’m so glad that I chose Marina for my wedding hair and makeup!!! She did an incredible job and catered to the different requests from me as well as the rest of the group. She arrived when she said she would and finished everyone’s hair and makeup right on schedule. The communication/planning was easy and she was so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend her!!!

I went to Marina for a hair/make-up trial, and make-up / hair styling for both my mom and I on my wedding day and I could not be happier! Not only is she amazing to work with, but she does a KILLER job. My hair/make-up held up throughout the whole event without having to do any touchups.

Marina did my hair and makeup for my wedding as well as a facial the week before. She was so wonderful - the facial was a spiritual experience and my skin looked amazing. The bridal makeup was lovely. She made me look beautiful, but still myself as I typically don't wear a lot of makeup. I cannot recommend her services any more highly!

Marina is such a kind person and an incredibly talented esthetician and hair/makeup artist! I've been visiting her for nearly two years for facial and skincare treatments and not only are her treatments so relaxing and fairly priced, but the difference I've noticed in my skin health is far beyond what I ever imagined was possible. The products she uses are top-notch and also smell and feel amazing. I recently had the wonderful experience of booking my bridal beauty services with her and was BLOWN AWAY with the results. Marina was an absolute dream to work with! From responding to my initial inquiry to her very organized online portal, she made every step of the process so much easier than I anticipated. Through planning to the day of, her presence was so calming and I constantly felt assured that she saw my vision and knew exactly what I was going for. She had the same effect on all my bridesmaids and my (very nervous) mom, all of whom were thrilled with their final result and looked so beautiful. She glammed us up perfectly but we all still looked like ourselves. I absolutely recommend working with Marina for your wedding!

I'm so glad I hired Marina to do my hair and makeup for my wedding! I don't typically wear much makeup and neither do my girlfriends, so it was important to me to find someone who could create seamless natural looks that are 100% camera ready, and Marina absolutely nailed it. For myself, I wanted a look that was fresh and ethereal for my midsummer forest wedding, and Marina instantly understood the vibe. Everyone felt beautiful and confident going into the day! I would 100% recommend Marina to anyone and would happily hire her again for an important event!

Marina did such an amazing job with mine and my sister in laws hair and makeup for my wedding. I was amazed every time I looked in the mirror that I could even look that good. We're both people who don't really like wearing much makeup and she gave us both such a natural but beautiful look, that not only looked great in person but photographed beautifully too. She offered suggestions on what would look good (and she was right) and she was great to be around the morning of.

She not only did my hair and makeup for my October 2023 wedding, but she also worked with me for almost the entire year leading up to my wedding to help me get my skin balanced and ready for the big day. Marina came out to Hood River to do hair and make up for me, my mom, and my sister in law and she did such an amazing job! I truly never wear make up and she made it feel so natural and glamorous. Marina sure knows how to highlight your natural beauty OR make you look like a GLAM star. Finding a hair and makeup artist for my wedding was the hardest vendor to book. I was so discouraged, all the ones I liked were booked, out of my price range or not responsive. I was done searching... and thought I was going to have to go with a stylist I didn't prefer but I connected with Marina and it must have been fate because she had the natural and beautiful portfolio I had been looking for. I also was looking for someone that had successfully done make up for an asian woman, which she had. I was able to go in for a trial and we tested some smoky eye and glam waves. Although, I looked great, it was NOT my wedding look. I sent some photos over to Marina and she did a beautiful job on my wedding and my bridal party and mothers'. I felt natural and beautiful. It didn't feel like I had tons of make up on but it was enough to look flawless in photos.

I hired Marina as my makeup artist for both my engagement and wedding photos. Having been unable to book a trial with a stylist prior to lockdown, I'd begun to wonder if I'd find the right person on time. I'm so happy that my photographer recommended Marina to me! She was very responsive and flexible about scheduling. She is not only very professional, but has a real sense of artistry. She did a great job of addressing things I'm self-conscious about without it looking overdone. I felt beautiful and confident for my wedding!

Marina is absolutely LOVELY! I did my trial run for hair and make-up at her studio. It was clean and she wears a mask the entire time. She also 100% listens to you. I had asked her to change a few things for my final look on the day of and she did ALL OF IT in a snap. She also gives you a cute little touch-up kit after, which was super helpful to have! She is very sweet and so good at what she does. To anyone reading this, CHOOSE HER! You won't regret it!

I was looking for something simple yet stylish for my hair and she was able to reproduce it. The makeup part went really well too, she works with our own beauty and accentuates it. Don’t hesitate for even a second before booking this badass lady! I have had my makeup done by her and as a wedding photographer, refer all my brides to her because I want them to have the best experience. Marina provides nothing less! She is one of the most genuine and fun vendors to have by your side on your special day! Babes on your wedding day you start your morning with your HMUA! This person is the first one to set the tone for the day, to get you feeling comfortable in your skin and excited for your future life partner to see how damn sexy you look! Every time I’ve walked into a room with Marina, the mood is incredible, she is such a warm and fun personality. But of course what seals the deal is the quality of work she always provides. From having the utmost experience from sanitation and comfort, to the expertise and skill level she provides she has it all covered. As someone who has had her makeup done by Marina, I have to commend her for taking the time to match my skin tone with the proper foundation, meeting my concerns and making my face feel flawless without feeling cake-y, and for just truly making me feel beautiful. My skin looked glowy, my hair looked nothing short of magical, and I felt incredible.
