I love this hair salon and their services but the only down side to this salon is that there not accurate with there prices, when you walk in they set a price for you but when your done They raise the price for unnecessary reasons , they know you won’t argue with them because of the language barrier they did this multiple times.

Been coming to this salon for YEARS !!!! The best services and genuine workers who are amazing all around!!! My girl is Christina she’s amazing, I’ve had colors done by her and my hair cuts! Plus prices are very affordable.

I’ve been coming to Maritzas Salon for close to 10 years. I drive from Queens to Brooklyn to get my hair done. The care and service I’ve gotten is A+. All of the ladies has been doing hair for many years and they work with your hair. My Experience has been positive and my regular stylist is Cristina. My hair has grown and is the most healthy it’s ever been. That’s why I keep coming back. A+

BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE ESPECIALLY IF NATURAL!!! So, a few weeks back i went to get my hair done. My experience at the salon was amazing so that was r my problem..: the issue was the after. Since leaving the salon my hair HAS NOT BEEN THE SAME. Usually after two weeks my hair frizzes up, i wash it and my hair goes back to its curly state. My hair still has not been able to go back to its natural state. Every time I’ve washed it it feels like a perm was put in it. I haven’t had a perm since i was 18 and im 31 now so you do the math. My hair literally will not go back to its natural state. It even gives a chemical smell when i wash it. Im highly upset and i would not recommend anyone going here. Update: It’s January 1st and i would like to say that my hair is completely trash now. The products that they put in my hair literally has my hair falling out!!!! From being natural for more than 11years and then someone going behind my back to put a product i would Never use in my head it’s honestly frustrating!!!! I thought it was just me but my mother, aunt and little cousin went during the same week and their hair is falling out as well. My aunt had to cut all her hair off! This place is just not it and if i could go and take action towards them i totally would!

I’ve been here 4 times and today was my first time interacting with the owner. The workers are always friendly and helpful but the owner attitude is disgusting. (Strike 1) The woman that my hair was busy so the owner decided to wash my hair out and was super rough, I asked her to do it softer and her reply was that I have too much hair that’s why she did it like that. What does me having too much hair have to do with her roughing up my head?! (Strike 2) She decided to do my rollers and while combing out my hair again she was being rough. She told me to keep my head still so I wouldn’t hurt myself when she combs. I just laughed because at this point I was ready to walk out! (Strike 3) The woman that did my hair told me my amount and the owner argued her down to charge me $5 more. I’m convinced she’s full of herself and she’s the type of person that sees nothing wrong in what she does. This place gets 3 stars because of the great workers but the owner needs a serious attitude adjustment!

Christina has really good hands for the blow dryer. I travel an hour and a half to see my boyfriend out in Brooklyn and I always make sure to stop by her to do my hair. Excellent service! Highly recommend.

Gloria is great at short natural haircuts. I always get a good cut from her. The place needs some upgrades for sure but for the price, it's worth it.

They do a good job and all but the place is seriously outdated. There's no running AC or fan or anything. They also mentioned "natural" hair costs more, I understand that but they dont really treat it like natural hair they do the same thing to "unnatural" hair. I got my hair done the day before and I sweated it out before I got home and it was wrapped up. I didnt pay $40 to have to get my hair done somewhere else

I used to love this salon, but I will no longer be spending my hard earned money at this place. On a day where it was almost below freezing, there was no heat. Out of the 2 sinks, only one was working. One of the stylist was rude enough to say something about my hair in her native tongue to another stylist, assuming I wouldn't understand. She was shocked when I replied. This is definitely my last visit.

SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE THAT ACTUALLY WANTS CUSTOMERS !!!! Walked in with my daughter to ask about a perm. She told me that they weren't taking anyone else for the day. I explained that I wasn't getting my hair done today. She stated that the perm I choose affects the price so I asked which perms do you use? She rudely walked to the back to another stylist's station to retrieve something. Then proceeded to begin another conversation with said stylist.... still no answer. So I walked out because clearly she must not realize that there is competition all around. I wouldn't even recommend this place for your dog....SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE THAT ACTUALLY WANTS CUSTOMERS !!!! I will be going to a salon a few blocks down because their customer service was a 100 times better..😊
