Monty is the best hair stylist in Chicago. Hands down and undisputed! Not only are his hands blessed, his spirit is blessed also. I have gone to many popular stylists in Chicago, and now only Monty can touch my hair. Monty only uses high quality products, and genuinely cares about the well being of his clients; hair and your overall wellness. Monty is my stylist and also a friend. Hands down the BEST wash/blow dry/flat iron I’ve ever gotten. Nothing but great things to say about Marquin Salon. The salon is so nice and clean and the owner will have you in and out while still being so thorough with your hair. So glad to know I’m always in good hands when I get my hair done here and will keep coming back. Highly recommend!

Visited Monty’s salon and he was the most AMAZING stylist I have ever had. He was incredibly professional and did a fantastic job dyeing (first time ever dyeing my entire head), blow drying, straightening, and trimming my hair. At no point was I ever worried. He took really good care of my hair and gave me essential advice to care for it. My hair feels healthy, bouncy and does not smell burnt. I will definitely be back! 😁

First time getting a haircut in a salon rather than a more basic barbershop, and it was a great experience. Haircut was extremely efficient, and I wasn't expecting a wash either. Will be coming back for as long as I'm in Chicago!

Monty ruined me for any other stylist! He is so talented and such a wonderful person I absolutely love going to see him! My hair has never been more healthy and beautiful! I went to the salon based on the reviews I read online. The reviews don't do them any justice. They moved swiftly and accurately. I felt very comfortable and felt that they were very knowledgeable of my hair. My hair looked and felt amazing afterwards. I worked with both Marquin and Stephen (may have his name wrong) but these two are the absolute best and definitely have a new customer on there hands.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now and highly recommend them to friends!! I always love coming here to see Monty and Daisy!! The salon is black owned! They are following all Covid measures!! Last but not least the newly updated space it beautiful and so modern!! Loving all the new plant babies!!

Monte is the best barber I’ve ever had, not only is he incredibly talented at his art but he makes time for you, the client. No matter what. He won’t hesitate to make time for you if you need a haircut, he goes above and beyond for all of his clients and treats everyone with respect. I have been going to him for the last 8 years of my life, and I never plan on going anywhere else!

This is a black-owned salon located closer to the north side of the city!! MONTY is AMAZING!!!!! I have natural 4C hair so to all my SISTAS! he will take great care of you. He will inform you on what to do to your hair to keep it healthy and growing. I went to his salon off of his online reviews ONLY & he was amazing. Very down to earth, professional setting, the shop is really nice, & his service is everything!!!! He will be the ONLY person doing my natural hair from here on out!
