I just moved to the area and I, like a good dominican woman, need a Dominican Beauty shop because they know how to do your hair, so I found this one and the environment is friendly, they treat you excellent and the lady that washed my hair did a great job.

I regret coming here honestly.. They are sweet people but DO NOT know how to take care of natural hair or hair period. They will literally rip and tear through your hair!!!! It was a nightmare! I spent all this time growing my hair and being gentle to just come here & get my hair ripped out😭 IM SO UPSET 😢

I noticed that my hair is not staying as stright as it did before...i was in and out in two hours. Hair smelled a little burnt but not as before.

Ok I arrived 20 minutes before opening and they had a line. Once inside they moved pretty quickly on getting everyone washed and under the dryer. But I noticed during this process they used the same comb and brush on everyone to detangle the hair. No cleaning was done during this. Once dry the blow out began. Sitting at the station it was dirty other clients hair all over the counter and brushes and combs. I had to ask for a clean brush as the one she stated to use had red hair in it. Just seems like a few sanitary steps was skipped. To many products used for the blow out. Not to mention the oil she tried to use in every section of hair. My hair is fully natural and has been for 10+ years. I was left with a burnt hair smell. Hopefully my hair isn’t damaged when I wash it. I don’t think I’ll be back

Went to the salon on 9/14/24 worst experience ever!!! I called before coming asking how much was it to dye my hair a auburn and honey blonde color I was told $100 I get the only to be told by Martha $200 I declined so I asked how much for honey blonde she told me $180 I declined she then say for you $150 no thank you I asked why is it not $100 on what was quoted when I called she then tells me oh that’s because you need a deep conditioning ends clips and detangle I said ma’am my hair isn’t tangled it’s already been detangled!!! I told her never mind the color I’ll just do a blow out!!! Get my hair washed placed under the dryer one of the young ladies come pull the young lady before me from under the dryer and tell her have a seat waiting on one stylist 10 minutes later she comes to me trying to get me to go to 2 of the worst stylist in the shop I declined stating I wanted to go to Maria…. Maria lets her know I was coming to her Martha comes in and tell Maria oh you have to get this young lady she was next for the chair the same young lady that really can’t do hair said she was open again no I’ll wait for Maria I don’t want her in my head Martha tries to lie stating the woman before me was waiting on Maria when she wasn’t!!!! After 2 years of coming this is by fair the worst experience will not be coming back !!!!

My hair smelled burnt when I left. It was pretty though. I’ve had a blow out before. This was totally different. I will just stick to my regular place.

4/13/2024. Worst $77 dollars spent. I got corn row twistouts. The parts are all crooked and the so called bun that was added to the back is flat and off-centered. My hair looks awful! They didn't even smooth my edges. I went home and didnt even wait to get out of the car before adding this review. Never ever ever again!!! EVER! (Edited: Finally made it in the house. Taking my hair down to re-shampoo and put it back in a ponytail).

I went to this salon years ago (2016/2017) and the damage made me have to big chop which led to my getting locs for years. I was thinking about going back today and see that recent reviews are consistent with my total of 3x getting blow outs here. I am so disappointed that they have not changed their business practices based on the feedback! I was thinking about going today but I absolutely cannot afford another 6 years of restoring my hair! Why is this still being allowed?!

Love, love, and will forever LOVE Martha’s Palace. Been going here for 10 years now. They never disappoint me and haven’t switched up anything. I get tired of Memphis radio station, as you can see they have diverse music. LOVE IT!! They had people running to the door 5mins before opening. I got there on time and I was still #10. #Iykyk, yet still great service. Majority of them speak a little English, very are polite and sweet. Came from FL to visit and my first appointment canceled on me. I knew exactly where to go, contrary to recent reviews. I adore and LOVE Martha Palace. Thank you guys for existing, hopefully I will visit next time I’m in town🥰

Never go back. The workers are friendly, but they can not do hair. I sat and watched them mess up a lot of people's hair. They always try to give me this grandma hair style. I say straight they give me a big a** flip.

Poor Unprofessional Customer Service!!!! My mother was the first person at the Shop, and was skipped over, they stated, the other Lady comes all the time, so we have to let her skip. (Only received an Explanation After I asked for management) No Apology or Nothing 😔

My daughters hair is always done great here! If you have thin or brittle hair I would not recommend the blowout due to heat damage, but the have other options for natural hair as well as permed.

My mother was treated terribly upon her experience here. she came to get her hair braided and she stated the hair stylist was rude and rough with her. She will not be returning. She explained how this was the worst customer service experience of her life and she doesn’t understand why the customer service is not important. However she still tipped the ladies, but she will not be back.

Please I bag you don’t go to them please please please they will take every bite of your money ams your hair gone they don’t do black people hair the right way they don’t use the right hair products for us black people with Coarse kinky hair they will take all your hair OUT DONT GO TO THEM and they will act like they can do sew-in no they can’t or Dreadlocks Slap a pound of Hair gel on and the root want even be twisted down please get service somewhere else please. Please please please please please please don’t go to them. They are cheap for a reason

They relaxed my natural hair without my knowledge and didn't have the decency to neutralize it out. Now I have to start my natural hair journey all over after 10+ years. Oh and my scalp is very sensitive since this happened. The hair on the wall is after the first shampoo and the hair in my hand is after the second shampoo. I had to go buy a neutralizing shampoo to get the relaxer smell out of my hair.

Went for a blowout and deep conditioning and my hair came out great. The salon was busy the day I went so I was here about 3 hours but the staff moved as quickly as they could and apologized for the inconvenience. I definitely will return.
