I have gotten several massages due to lower back and hip pain. Today, I'd have to say Lena did an awesome job working directly with my problem areas. She definitely took some of my aches away. Hoping after a few more visits they'll be gone!!

I’ve had massages both here and elsewhere, all of the ones here have been good. However I booked with Lena today for the first time and can honestly say best massage of my life. I have had chronic neck and back problems for a very long time, worsening after I got whiplash back in early 2023, and after my appointment with Lena I feel the best I have in at least five years. Thank you Lena!!

I love Eileen! She is a great massage therapist. She always listens to what I need. She is also a lovely person. We often have a nice chat and then she gets down to business. I’m so glad Ive found the perfect massage therapist for me! I highly suggest seeing her!

So I've been to this location a couple times, and I've been and on again off again member of ME for years, so I've been to different locations all over the country. I think of it usually as more of a relaxing self care massage. Lately I've been really needing a deep deep massage to work out a lot of knots and tension that I get from my day job of standing 8 hours a day with no breaks. FINALLY, I have found a therapist who listened to my needs, was very knowledgeable and found so many spots in my back that he worked out SO well, I know I gave him a workout just for how hard he had to work to get them out. I am so so grateful to CLAYTON. I walked out of there like a new person. I've had a pain on the left lower side of my back for a long time, and I though I was feeling a weird bone sticking out but it was a gruesomely hard knot, it's completely gone and the pain is completely gone. I could cry while writing this. I can sit at my desk with no pain anymore. Clayton is an amazing therapist and I'm so so glad to have found him. It's so hard to book with male therapists at this location as everyone books them up so fast, I think Clayton is somewhat new to this location, but thank the universe for him. I booked 3 more appointments with him before I left. So if you need a GREAT DEEP massage that will get rid of all your tension and knots, Clayton is the therapist for you. Thank you Clayton!!!

I had an incredibly unprofessional encounter with the staff at Massage Envy. I decided to take advantage of a BOGO deal and purchased a basic facial for my mom and myself for their Mother's Day promo. My mom went ahead and booked her appointment, and upon meeting with the aesthetician, was told how horrible her skin was, and was convinced that she needed to upgrade to the HIGHEST level facial. My mother was never given the price difference but only told that "you're getting a good deal" and then it was brushed off that the gift card would cover it. Expecting to be pampered a bit with a massage, mask, cleansing, etc., instead she had a 45- minute discussion on products (later the staff tried to convince her to buy product), changing her skin routine, and had a 15-minute treatment on her face. She was never informed that it was a medical procedure and that she ultimately wouldn't have the pampering experience she was expecting. When she called to tell me about her experience, she shared that they charged her more than what was on the gift card, and ended up walking out without the experience she was hoping for! I called and spoke to a self-proclaimed "manager", Christine, who had a very nasty attitude when I asked her why she didn't get the basic facial that I had paid for. She made some comment that "we can't have control over what our clients choose", and then informed me there was NOTHING LEFT on my $200 gift card. So, I'm out $200, my mom didn't get the facial she wanted, and now I can't get a facial for myself. I was livid. Rather than apologizing for claiming the entire gift card that was under MY name, Christina provided nothing but excuses. What unbelievably unprofessional behavior! The staff here want nothing but to take advantage of people's insecurities by telling them they need more pricey treatments. I was hoping to purchase a package and become a member, but they have completely lost my business.

Meh. That's all I really have to say about this location. It's not the worst massage I've ever had... but it wasn't great either, unfortunately I left more stressed than when I went in. It looks to be great for medical or sports massage, but if you want to find a massage that leaves you relaxed and is worth the money, I would recommend going elsewhere.

Website states they close at 8pm, door states they close at 8pm… yet here I am on Saturday at 7:45pm and they are closed. Would have loved to buy a big gift certificate for Mother’s Day… guess I’ll be spending my money elsewhere.

Mixed experience. Massage sessions are great, if you can get in and/or the therapist doesn't cancel. I've been waiting 2+ months for an appointment and the therapist canceled (and it's not the first time). They don't have any openings (90+ minutes) the rest of the week. Also, while facials are normally part of membership, the Charlottesville ME currently doesn't have a master esthetician on staff, so no facials either! I have several unused hours with my membership because it's simply so hard to get an appointment. I will likely will be canceling membership since it's not possible to use the hours with their limited therapists and estheticians.

I have had quite a few massages at different places, mostly for the relief of stiff muscles and stress. This was a wonderful experience for me from the beginning to the end. From my initial greeting to the end of my massage. Lena was so warm and friendly. She gave a very thoughtful massage, asking if her touch was the right amount of pressure, checking out medical history etc, and making sure I was comfortable throughout, and kept me informed through each stage of the massage. Lena is very skilled and knowledgeable. I cannot say enough good things about her. I have already re-booked with her.

This place is so great!! The best massage place I’ve ever been to. The Charlottesville Massage Envy is better than any other Massage Envy location I’ve ever visited. The deep tissue is really good.. it’s not too hard but not too soft. Sarah did a couple of my massages a while back but I haven’t seen her recently. Don’t get me wrong everyone here does a fantastic job but I wonder what happened to Sarah? Is she still at this location? I have requested her the past three visits, they always say “she’s not here right now”

The people at the front desk are always nice and welcoming. Every masseuse has been wonderful. But if you are looking for deep pressure then Olivia is great!
