Did you know Message Envy locations are independently owned - well this Diversey location does not play nice with your credit when you cancel membership. They also wont allow you to cancel membership in person or over the phone. They send an email to your spam so you forget and pay an additional month. BEWARE!!!

Absolutely horrific experience. Kathleen showed up 12 min late, refused to provide a blanket for my ‘top of table’ service, then proceeded to yell at me for using an exfoliating cleanser and glycolic / retinol products even thought it was outside of the chemical peel timeline. She would switch from overly sweet to incredibly mean in seconds - very odd erratic behavior. With her belligerent attitude and rage, I was scared to close my eyes for the treatment because who knows what can happen in one of those little rooms. I left shaking with fear of what she could have done and how I was treated, but at least learned from the manager (Leija, who was truly sympathetic to the situation), ‘there’s an emergency button on the bed in case I ever need it.’ I wish I didn’t have to know about this button, but if I knew it existed, I would have used it that day.

Carmita is what I call a “knot whisperer”- which supports the fact her waitlist is often booked a few months out. I’ve been coming to this location for over a year with my membership just for her. Absolutely worth it.

I live in the area and walked over there today to ask about booking a massage with all my clothes on. The fat front desk on the left person got so sarcastic with me and said," we don't do chair massages.." I said, I didn't ask for a "chair massage." I asked if I could do a massage with all my clothes on, sweatshirt, and pants. Then she said sarcastically, we don't have any openings. I said, fine, and I walked out. I worked with your company for 21 years from the Westin as I was Chef Concierge and need massages for our baseball players. I must tell you, I will never suggest your company to anyone ever again Your fat receptionist are bad for business.

I had an AMAZING one hour massage by Carmita. I would go back just for her. I felt so relaxed, and got firm pressure and extra time on my focus areas like I asked. The front desk woman was super sweet, although pushed the membership really hard. I would go back though!

Yesterday I had the absolute worst experience at the Massage Envy located at 668 W Diversey Parkway in Chicago, Illinois. My massage was cancelled an hour before and so I was offered a half off facial. I accepted the offer and have not stopped regretting that decision. The second I got home and looked in the mirror my skin was beat red and covered in chemical burns with open skin all over my face. The second day I am covered in scabs which will take weeks to heal. I have had numerous facials in my life and have NEVER had an experience like this or even the slightest reaction to my skin. This esthetician should NEVER be touching anybody else’s face or have a license and I will be making sure to NEVER recommend this place to anybody. I am absolutely sick about what happened to me and hope it never happens to anyone else. My skin didn’t have a single blemish on my face before coming and is now completely ruined.

I got a text today at 11:38am reminding me of a massage at 11:30am that I never booked in the first place. I had credit for one massage left in my account and it was credited as a cancellation fee for not showing up. Now they are saying it was booked in the system and I have to pay because I didn’t cancel 24hrs in advance. I never book that massage since at 11:30am I was working. They refused to credit back my account. Ridiculous.

We’ve been going to this massage envy for about two years now and never have had a bad experience with anyone the front desk recommended. My husband sees Jose and Carmita and I love Lynda, Melisa and Rose! We are so lucky to have this massage envy close by. Y’all really need to try them out. Thank God for massage envy.

Excelent service, parking lot, professional and clean service. I wear mask during massage and for sure everyone is using masks! Due to the new Covid19 rules no candies or water, but not a problem for me. Great 90 mins massage!!!

I really wanted to leave a good review. My husband gifted me a massage for our anniversary 6/30/20. My therapist was late into getting me into the room for my 60 min massage. So I thought ok, that’s fine as long as I get my full time. Then, I undress and the massage begins. The oil was cold and so were her hands. It was the most uncomfortable feeling. I ask her to warm the oil, she says if she leaves to warm the oil it will take away from my massage time. So I laid there uncomfortably with cold hands and non-warmed oil on my body. Then she finishes my 60 massage almost 10 min early. I asked her why we were early. She said that is because the massage is truly 50min with a 5 min consultation in the beginning and 5 min consultation in the end. Then, I was not greeted by her with water as I should have been in the end. The positives: she gave perfect pressure. Knowledgeable and conversational. I am overall disappointed. I should have had a more pleasurable experience on my anniversary. And I won’t be going back to massage envy. It was a disappointment.

Everything was great other than the fact that the massage was supposed to be 1 hour, and I was only given 50 minutes. I let the front desk know about the time, and they literally said nothing, except did you want to leave a tip. (A total of 50 minutes with dressing and consultation) I'll never go back, so there is no need to contact anyone. Thanks for nothing.

Location could not be worse. There is a guard hanging out in the premises and if after your business you dare to step out of the parking lot’s fence for a minute to say hi to a friend that is passing down the street, you’ll find your car booted. The guard speaks zero English too, making the ordeal very stressful.
