Membership is a scam, they suspend use of funds you've already paid. I paid for 3 massages that they are refusing to give me. I was told I have 60 days to use my credits once membership was over, now I'm being told they're suspended due to my membership not being active (after one year of membership). Every month I was texted that my membership was canceled, and every month I was automatically charged anyway. I had to block the charges with my bank to stop them, and now massage envy is not honoring what was already paid for! The GM, Ashley Ward, is not helpful or courteous. Not only did she give me conflicting information regarding membership, funds, cancelation, suspensions, etc., but she was unprofessional and quite stupid. She kept repeating "this is how all bills work", which is just not true. So she's either a moron or she thinks I am. Corporate won't answer calls. I'm being forced to dispute charges with my bank. Horrible experience. I filed a complaint and left a review on BBB as well.

Do not get a membership with Massage Envy. They will continue to withdraw money from your account and it is difficult to end it even after you put it in writing!!!! There is NEVER a manager on site to actually end your membership and they will delay reaching out to you to complete the process. The Ahwatukee location schedules their least experienced people on the weekends when it is ideal. But instead expects someone to schedule in the middle of a weekday with the more seasoned persons. It has been a nightmare to get out of this membership!!!!!!!!! Don't Do It!@!¡!

After my experience yesterday with this location if I didn't need a massage then, I most certainly need one now! I can honestly say this was one of the most horrendous customer service experiences I have ever had. My son bought me a gift certificate for my birthday because I had been having pain in my back. I was elated to use the gift certificate. When making my appointment, they were able to find the certificate no problem, but on the day of, I unfortunately left my phone at work. When I went in for my massage they rudely told me there was no way to look up the gift certificate and that they wouldn't honor it without having it. I asked if I could reschedule, but I got a resounding no and was told they didnt have to honor the gift certificate at all. So I lost the gift certificate and message all together. They were very rude about it almost as if they took great pleasure in telling me they wouldn't honor the gift certificate. What's the point in getting a gift certificate if you're not going to honor it!? Wow! Message Envy I think not! I don't Envy anything about this place.

I have rarely been disappointed by a massage and the therapists are attentive and kind. The corporate policies, however, are aweful. I HAVE HAD MEMBERSHIP SINCE 2004ish. MY ADVICE. DONT SIGN UP FOR MEMBERSHIP. IT IS AN AWEFUL POLICY THAT EVENTUALLY LOCKS YOU IN. IF YOU DONT USE THEM AND THEY ACCUMULATE, YOU HAVE 30 DAYS TO USE THEM. WE ALL GET BUSY, SO EVENTUALLY YOU HAVE A SURPLUS. NO ONE WANTS TO THROW THEM AWAY. AND YOU CAN ONLY GIVE ONE PER MONTH. SO ONCE YOU HAVE SAY 5 OR MORE, THEN ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO GIVE AWAY WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR. GETTING A MASSAGE A WEEK IS IMPRACTICAL FOR MOST, SO IT BECOMES PAY A MONTH OR LOSE A BUNCH. ASK ANYONE WHO HAS HAD A MEMBERSHIP FOR LONGER THAN A YEAR. TRUST ME, DONT DO IT

Ive been consistently blown away by how amazing this massage envy is. I would have thought a chain would not be such caliber. Lea, Willie , Josema are incredible. Ive also noticed a big improvement on all of the front desk people. They are kind and greet us with such respect and connection.

I have been part of the massage envy membership program for many years and for the last 2 years, I have visited the Ahwatukee location. Today, I met with a new therapist, Ivan. I have to say that Ivan is one of the very best masseuse I have ever encountered. Ivan makes you feel comfortable and does an excellent job of making sure he is working on the areas where you need the most relief! By the way, their new therapy lotion is the best!

Ivan is the best! This location is great, I was seeing Ivan at Goodyear and I knew I'd be making the drive 40 minutes from home to get a massage with him when he transferred. He's super knowledgeable and creates such a relaxing environment. Highly recommend!

BUYER BEWARE!!!! They are great until you want to cancel. I have been trying to cancel my membership for several days now and have been given misinformation and false promises. I was told that I needed to speak to a "lead" to cancel. Two days later, finally got in touch with a "lead" and she informed me that "leads" are not allowed to cancel memberships and it could take up to ten (10) days to have a manger contact me. I can cancel a credit card and gym membership with one phone call but to cancel this membership at THIS location requires, several days, several phone calls, several text message exchanges, an email to corporate (who stated only the franchisee can cancel a membership), employees with no authority to act on the best interest of the client, and an absentee manager. This is poor customer service and appears to be a fraudulent scheme in order to keep clients attached to a membership they no longer want.

5-star review specifically for Landan. I've called many times and spoken to multiple people about my membership and issues I've been having and no one was helpful. Landan was so helpful didn't cause anymore issues for me and helped me out exactly how I needed (and others have been saying isn't possible).

Been visiting Massage Envy Ahwatukee location for a year now. You can use the HSA here. I took the membership which cost me 75$ per session every month for 60min session. You can upgrade to 90min by paying the difference (113$ 90min) or utilizing extra credit sessions if you have. Scheduling is very easy over the call, as the front staff is super helpful and attentive. Every 60 min sessions include 10min consultation and 50min massage. Earlier I used to try different therapist for every session, and then I finally found Felisha! She is amazing and does an excellent job and I would highly recommend her for full body.

If I can rate a negative star I would. I signed up for a membership with the goal in mind to get a massage every month because my friends insisted I start self-care because I am a single mother of a special needs child. At first, I lived in Litchfield Park, so the closet location was Goodyear. I signed up for the membership BUT each time I tried to book a massage, they NEVER could found time slots that worked with my schedule. From Nov. 2021-Nov. 2022, I had three massages. What a waste of money! In the fall, I moved to Ahwatukee. My membership was up in November, and in order to cancel, I had to go back to my original location (Goodyear) to fill out the cancelation form. I made a trip to Goodyear, and they told me that I had to pay through Dec. WTH After I was billed in December, the manager at the Goodyear location said I had 6 credits to use. After the new year, I called the new location closest to me, Ahwatukee, to try to book a massage. NOPE. Again no luck finding an appointment. Booked like the entire month of January, and the soonest they could get me in was Jan. 31 for a time that worked for me. The receptionist told me it would cost me 2 credits. I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances out of my control, I had to cancel today and I would be charged the cancelation fee. I didn't want to cancel, I wanted to reschedule. That's when I learned my credits expired YESTERDAY. WTH, I made a payment in Dec, so why would I be charged when I am still within the 60 day window (well, that's what I thought). Without luck again, they were unable to find a time to reschedule, nothing open that worked with my schedule, so I was forced to cancel. When I tried to reschedule, I asked how much was a massage, and she told me $75. But when I called, she told me I would be charged half of $120. How is that fair? How was it my fault that I could not get a massage booked before my credits expired. They should have disclosed that. when I booked my massage. I would have NEVER booked. LIARS Then to top it off, the receptionist tried to run my card WITHOUT my permission. WHO DOES THAT? HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service promised broken! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE membership promises broken. LIARS. Massage Envy sucks!!

Sean is the best therapist! He asks questions to understand my goal of the treatment and is very responsive to input. I appreciate the friendliness of the staff and cleanliness and serenity of the office.
