2019 (5 stars) Renee gives amazing facials here, keeping me coming back for more than a year. And she's a great listener, knowledgeable, and products work great! Bummer that microderm abrasion costs 2 credits. Update 10/2024 (4 stars) Facials: Renee is sadly gone but have had multiple more good experiences with facials. Ended up stopping facials because my skin needed a test and I have since decided to use my monthly credits for massage (forgot how good they are). Massages: I somehow didn't mention the massages before, but they are lovely. The main reason I reduced my rating from 5 to 4 stars is because the membership pricing and add on pricing has increased significantly over the years, more than I think necessary, even after such a time. And yet, I still keep my monthly membership and enjoy regular monthly massages, including the upgrade to add 30 minutes (total 90min). Monthly membership gets you 1 credit a month, which is good for a 60 minute service (Massage, facial, or stretch). Personally, the 90min is required to match my experience with 60min "authentic Asian massage" experience (meaning harder pressure but usually less English and less regard for pain and modisty threshold). Overall, still 4 stars because my monthly rate is reasonable (increasing about $15/mo over 7ish years) to guarantee me a regular, good-quality massage with good customer service.

I have had a membership with Massage Envy for 18 years. This was my first time to this location. They charged me an extra $50 for my massage for my son and I. He only received a 30 minute massage even though I paid For an hour. I have been to many locations over the last 18 years never ever ever charged this up fee !!! I am letting Massage Envy know, and I will never return there again.

Been a member at this location for more than three years and visit this place more than once a months. I am satisfied with both the friendly front desk girls and the therapists. A few of them can tailor your therapeutic need like Cite, Mathew, Teresa and Akira. I definitely recommend this place.

I made an appt 1 week in advance as a birthday gift to myself. They kept rein forcing if I canceled any later then I day before I would be charged. They called and sent text to co firm appt. 2 hours before my appt. A d on my birthday, they called to cancel....No apology, no compensation, heartless. It ruined my day. I will never use their services again !!!

Just went to Massage Envy in Mira Mesa arriving for a massage and facial. When I got there they told me they didn’t have my appointment. Seems they had my appointments under someone else’s name and phone number so they just canceled my reservation and booked somebody else for that time. At 10 AM in the morning is not a time to let someone know they have no appointments. I will never be going back. So sad and disappointing that someone runs a business like this

Angel acts so incompetent and arrogant. Angel, why do you think you can speak to customers like you do? Refuse to answer questions or offer your managers name? Or offer any kind of assistance whatsoever? You should be ashamed of yourself. Massage Envy needs to give some respect to their customers.

DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION!!!! THE WORST MASSAGE EXPERIENCE EVER!!! A WOMAN NAMED ANGEL WAS THE WORST RECEPTIONIST IVE EVER DEALT WITH IN ANY INDUSTRY!! RUDE!!! INCOMPETENT!! REFUSED TO OFFER HELP!!! THIS IS MY 2ND ATTEMPT NOW TO CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP AND AGAIN THERE WAS NO SUPERVISOR IN THE BUILDING TO HANDLE THE SITUATION!!! THE RECEPTIONIST (ANGEL) REFUSED TO TELL ME WHEN THE SUPERVISOR WOULD BE AVAILABLE OR EVEN GIVE ME THE SUPERVISORS NAME. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THESE MEMBERSHIPS!!! YOU'LL BE PAYING UNTIL YOU DIE!!

I actually ended up leaving this location feeling worse than when I went in. The massage therapist injured my neck. I said I needed gentle but her style was speedy and aggressive. I didn’t feel like she could understand me at all. I will not be returning to this establishment and possibly not any massage envy.

I am a member here and really appreciate the services. I never have an issue getting an appointment with my favorite therapists. I never have to wait for my appointment to start and the therapists are considerate. The only reason I give four stars is because the parking is awful despite it being a large shopping center and sometimes the therapist doesn't completely listen to what I am asking for. Overall, I highly recommend this Massage Envy.

I arrived on time to my massage. The staff was warm and friendly per usual. This most recent visit was unusual because they brought a timer in the room which clearly showed that the clock for the 60 minute massage had started and by the time the massage therapist laid her hands on me for the session, approximately 13 minutes had passed. I asked the therapist about this and she said the time to get the room ready counts into the massage and that she recommends booking for a longer session in the future. There were no 90 minute appointments available when I called which is fine but if I am paying for a 60 minute massage, I want just that. The time it takes to prep the room has nothing to do with the patron. I would recommend they reduce their price if this is going to be their business practice.

Massage Therapist Mathew was excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband booked me my monthly massage at this location due to us being from out of State here on a business trip. Mathew was very professional, nice, and did amazing on my massage. Will be back. Thank you!

Never going back to Massage Envy. They left me in a waiting room for 30 minutes passed my appointment. When I checked with the receptionist for the status, the manager yelled out from the back room: “she’s not here today!” I’ll forget about how aloof the staff was while I was there, but wasting peoples time, especially on the weekend, is Inexcusable. I’ll be sure to share my experience every chance I can.

Very worst experience with Receptionist: Leanna as well as Esthetician: Tatiana. Visited this place first time and never expect customer to be treated like this.Esthetician initially stated that she will finish her task before 60 min and she literally skipped the massage session stating that she has to end the session before 60 mins. When I told she said the time to get the room, getting ready to be prep also counts into the 60 min massage. The time it takes to prep the room has nothing to do with the patron. I told receptionist this bad experience and ask to give discount the way they skip the massage and they refused. Won't suggest anyone to visit this place.

Worst customer service ever . 1. Asked female therapist and booked me with Male therapist without informing me. 2. 60 min session started late and ended early . 3. Full body massage - face to lower front body part was not even touched and when asked receptionist just said sorry I don't know why it was not included. Would never recommend this location.

Massage Thearpists are excellent here. I'm just reviewing this particular massage envy a 1 because they are starting to charge an extra fee on top of your membership price if it isn't your home location. I'm praying the other clinics don't start doing this because my home location is back in Minnesota. And I joined massage envy before I left MN knowing I would be able to go to any massage envy nationally. My mom gets military discount and they still charged her, too. So so disappointing. She will no longer be able to go to her favorite massage therapist. She would drive from Lemon Grove just to see her 😞 I feel bad too; I ended up taking away from the tip so I could afford the extra fee.

Therapist and owner harassed me regarding tips- saying I did not tip when in fact I did. Cheeky! Owner Telling me over the phone and therapist telling me in person at my massage -you did not tip me the last three times”. Therapist talking about the same thing to cashier in front of me before my massage. Not a welcoming establishment at all. Very unprofessional.
