I have a membership and I use David as my massage therapist. He does amazing work and has a unique way of doing massage that is unlike anything that I have experienced. I get the “some knots” service and it does wonders for my body. I leave there feeling completely refreshed and renewed

I just had the best massage from Kenise. She gave me exactly what I needed- a deep tissue massage to work out all my terrible knots while still making it all super relaxing. I will definitely be coming back for her!

I've been going to Fairmount Massage for years and I always have good experiences. They have heated beds, you can customize your music selection (which I love love) and choose your oils. The place has a good vibe and folks are very courteous. David is my go-to!

Great couples massage. Both our therapists were very professional. They let us choose the music and between the atmosphere and the heated blankets, I fell right asleep and woke up feeling amazing! My partner enjoyed his massage as well.

I had an absolutely terrible experience with this place. I'm pregnant and was gifted pre natal massages at massage Fairmount Ave. It took weeks until the money could be put into my account so I could use it at all. I eventually had one massage, and their prenatal "prop" was just one extra pillow. Aside from that I got a little rubbing that a friend could have done for me. When I booked a second massage (which was confirmed via automated text messages and email), no one was there because the practitioner was on vacation, which you think would have been communicated. I was then told I could come back later that day to meet a different practitioner, which I was willing to do, but later was told by the "manager" that this wasn't possible and I'd get a free massage some other time. That didn't happen either. (Or apparently, I learned weeks later, it was credited to my account without my knowledge.) When I asked for a refund of the credit gifted to me (over $1,000 in credit - not a gift card) it was refused. The manager seems to think that after all of this, I should still want to receive pre-natal care here. I don't, and I never will go here again. I'm not sure what went wrong at this place, as I had only positive experiences prior to Covid.

I'm actually not a regular customer (yet) but my normal masseuse was unavailable so I decided to try this place out. They were very nice and had an opening that fit my schedule so I figured I had nothing to lose. I came in and really loved the space and the atmosphere. They make you feel relaxed from the moment you walk in the door. My massage was amazing. The masseuse really paid attention to my problem areas and I felt amazing when they were done. I honestly think I may switch over and start coming here reguarly. It was such a nice experience.

I booked two guest-rate deep tissue massages on December 31, 2020 (couple massage). I was told I had to pay in advance, over the phone, because of their COVID procedures. When I arrived, the door was locked and they let us in 5 minutes prior to my scheduled massage. They took our temperatures, then my massage therapist (Ted) informed me that someone misplaced the laundry key and there weren’t clean sheets to complete the massages. Ted said they would contact me if something else opened up, and if not, they would refund my card. No one called me before hand to let me know there was an issue. To date (January 4, 2021), I haven't received a refund and they charged me $220. I called and sent them an email regarding this on 12/31/20. I called again today and left a long message detailing the issue today. I haven't received a call or email back from them either. If I am actually refunded my money, I will revise this review. I understand that we just had a holiday weekend, so I am trying to give them the benefit of doubt. EDIT of 1/12/2021 It only got worse. They never returned my calls or emails. I suspected they were dodging my phone number, so I had a friend call. They left a message pretending they wanted to book a massage. My friend got a call back almost immediately. I never received a call back. The friend gave my name and explained my issue to the owner, who said he *was already aware of my issue.* The owner said he would issue me a full refund, after trying to pitch only giving me store credit. This was on 1/9/21. To date, I never received a refund. I had to file a claim dispute with my credit card company. EDIT of 2/10/2021 They still never returned my calls or emails. They never issued a refund.

I received theee best massage ever for my Mother’s Day gift. After articulating where my problem areas were David literally massaged me to sleep. TO SLEEP! The pressure was very strong (deep tissue) and to be frank it was the best massage I have ever received. I felt like I was walking on a cloud after leaving. I would highly and happily recommend Fairmount massage to all that deal with chronic pain.

If you're looking for a solid massage this is the place. Not so much If you're looking for a spa setting or pampering. The atmosphere is comfortable and aromatic upon entry. Keana was my masseuse and she was very attentive to my request for areas of attention during our session. It is worth the price for whichever amount of time you select for your massage. I appreciate that at the end Keana even told me about the certain areas I should pay attention to and what I could do to reduce discomfort going forward. I visited on weekday and there was plenty of street parking. I will be returning & possibly gifting a session to friends and family.

This place used to be great when it was either under other management or they had a receptionist, but ever since COVID they have been a nightmare to deal with. I cancelled my membership and then was charged again for it. They get confrontative and angry towards you on the phone. I've showed up for massages multiple times after receiving confirmation texts and then received a call saying that they had to cancel or just were closed. I couldn't agree more with the more recent negative reviews. It's shame because I used to love this place, but the past few months it's brought more stress than relaxation. I still have $140 in unspent credits, but I'm just not going to use it because management is such a nightmare to deal with.

Trust me when I say this is the best massage it will find in the Philadelphia area. I can’t say enough about this place or how much I love coming here. I’ve had a membership for about 6 months and the difference it has made in the health of my back is huge. The staff here are also just some of the nicest and most accommodating people I have ever encountered. I’m so happy that I found them. If you’re looking for a massage, I highly recommend this place. Your back will thank you for it.

Cannot recommend this place. Poor management and very unorganized. Therapist has been late the past two times I've had an appointment, once even 25 minutes late. No apologies and a rush through the service as well. Management does not call or email back ever. Membership terms are very unclear, and when requesting more information, radio silence. To note, the membership '90 day trial' actually charges you 5 months worth of credit - much more than 90 days. At this point I am willing to lose the money I've already spent as this service is a waste of my time and not relaxing at all.

Went there for an hour deep tissue massage for $108. Started late and the session lasted less than 1 hr. Asked for hardest pressure, but barely felt any pressure on my body. I receive massage 1-2 times a week, so I’m very familiar with different styles of massage. Would not recommend this place for deep tissue massage.
