Ainsley was amazing! I went elsewhere for my last cut and was sadly disappointed. I really hated my cut every time I looked in the mirror. I figured it’ll grow back, not a big deal (but I really, REALLY hated looking in the mirror. I wore hats wherever I could, and did not want to be seen whenever I couldn’t wear a hat. After several weeks of trying to get used to it, I knew I needed to find someone with more experience with fine hair. Was hesitant to pay the price, but I am now glad I did. I was really surprised at how much time Ainsley took with me for just a cut. Granted, he had a lot of “fixing” to do, but I so appreciated his willingness and patience to take the time he needed for someone who may or may not come back to him. That alone says so much about his professionalism and passion for what he does! I am so grateful to him and will of course be coming back!

Eli was fine but all I got was a clean up and they charged me $54… I would’ve given Eli a bigger tip if it weren’t for these crazy prices. Never have been more pissed off after a haircut! Complete absurd!

Hairstylist Amy was over 20 minutes late for my 8AM appointment, leaving me with no choice but to cancel. I have had a good experience here in the past with Kayla, and their receptionist is lovely, but having my time wasted is not acceptable.

I wish I could give negative stats. I am so confused. I have loved going to Matthew Morris, my favorite hairdresser has been Amy. Today I booked an appointment with Lisa for a haircut. I also needed to have my money piece touched up. I do not work in the hair industry, I don’t know how to indicate when signing up for a haircut that I just need my money piece touched up. I need guidance, i need help in understanding how to book my appointments. I am more than happy to pay whatever price to have my haircut and money piece touched up. Every time I have gone here I have tried tipping the best I can for Amy usually $100 or more. I don’t know if that’s enough money when the service is usually $200-300+, I don’t understand what these people want from me, or what I have done to upset them. I have an engagement coming up, I wanted to spend today preparing. All I needed was a trim, and my money piece touched up. Luckily Amy was at the salon and said she could quickly touch up my money piece, and I was so grateful because I know I was asking her to stay a later to help color my money piece. I finish my haircut with Lisa Maria Johnson, and now Amy can’t make the time to touch up my money piece. You know what Amy, I get it. But I was still really sad about this, because I was so ready to tip her $200 for staying late and helping me prepare for something so important to me. I am so sad. They tried to find another stylist to help, but it would have required me to wait another hour. Guys, I get it I should have booked my service correctly, but I don’t know what I am supposed to put when I want to book. Also, I didn’t think coloring, 20 strands of hair would cause such a fuss. I have no clue why Lisa was unable to color my money piece apart of my service today, again, happy to pay extra, happy to tip generously. I don’t understand what I did wrong. I really wish I knew. I will never return here. I regret referring my friends. I am so beyond angry and disappointed in the customer service. I am just heartbroken and speechless. i just want to be a pretty girl for my engagement. please see the picture below for the “20 strands” i was looking to have touched up. Really Lisa? Really? You can’t take the time to put two foils on me? I didn’t want my hair blown out, I would much rather have my money piece colored and leave with wet hair, instead of then wasting our time blow drying my hair. I also think Amy has been trying to get rid of me as a client because my last few appointments she got my color wrong, and cut my bangs wayyyyyy to short. Almost as if it was intentional. That’s why i wanted to give Lisa a try. What a shame. Don’t worry yall, i will never bother you guys again.

If I could, I would assign zero stars to this salon, and I would like to explain my reasoning. This is not due to the quality of work, which includes excellent highlighting and blending services, friendly staff, and high-quality products. Rather, it is because of the strict cancellation policy that discourage customers from returning due to the significant cost involved. In my scenario, I called to reschedule my appointment a day in advance (the appointment was scheduled on Saturday at 8 AM, and I called around 12 noon on Friday). Despite cancelling a day earlier, I was informed that I needed to call before 8 AM to comply with the 24-hour cancellation policy. The oversight resulted in a charge of over $100 in fees. It is widely recognized that finding a skilled stylist, particularly one who can provide quality color, cut and highlights in Denver, is quite rare. However, quality services often come at a price, with the average cost of such appointment exceeding $400 including gratuity. To compound this, a cancellation fee of 60% of the appointment cost is imposed. I sincerely hope that the salon reconsiders its cancellation policy to acknowledge that if a customer calls a day in advance it reflects their intention to honor the agreement, even if the call is made during late morning salon hours. Consequently, a valued customer may be lost, along with the potential for long-term patronage that could yield far greater benefits than a single cancellation fee. I urge the salon to improve its approach to customer services, as the customer should be at the center of any business model.

It’s a hit and miss with this place. We’ve been there three times, and we either get a really good haircut, but a really bad hair dye job. Or just a bad haircut. I paid for a haircut and color for my sister-in-law, and the color was not vibrant and still looks like you can see the yellow tent from the bleach. She asked for red highlights and got orange highlights as you will see in the picture, but her layered haircut was perfect!. Also I Is there any yes Dorathy Dorathy do you remember your hair stylist that you got your haircut? Do you remember his name recently got a haircut for my daughter before school, and showed the stylist exactly what she wanted, and he could not perform that. We politely asked him to add a bit more layers, and that seem to have irritated him a bit. I think asking for curtain bangs, and lots of layers isn’t hard. She just got somewhat curtain bangs and a trim. I definitely recommend going somewhere that specializes in that particular style not just a haircut.

Unfortunately, the stylist was preoccupied with other clients at the same time as my haircut. Chopped off my hair and attempted to do curtain bangs. One side is a curtain bang the other side does not match and is choppy.. they are not symmetrical. Worst haircut ever!

I wouldn’t consider myself picky but I have been trying to find a good blonde stylist since I moved back to Colorado with no luck. Just found Abrianna and I think I’ve found it! She really takes the time to understand what you want and clearly pays attention to detail and doesn’t rush. I’m extremely happy with my results and look forward to coming back!

Had a very below average experience for my first time at Matthew Morris. I got my haircut and colored by Paloma in the DTC location. I initially had a consult that lasted all of five minutes and barely got my concerns and objectives out before she told me she had to move onto the next appointment. When I went for my appointment, I had shown 20 + pictures of what I hoped to achieve from past pictures of myself with the exact hair color I wanted. Mid appointment after the hair color had been applied, She asked me if I had liked cooler tones, which was completely the opposite of all of the pictures and information I had told her. I left the appointment with basically what I walked in color wise with -2 - 3 inches of hair that I did not want cut and $600 later. Not a great experience at all.
