I recently visited Maven Salon to have my hair done by Mallory, and I couldn't be happier with the results! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming. Mallory was incredibly attentive, listened to exactly what I wanted, and made excellent suggestions that perfectly suited my hair type and style. I am blown away by her skill and attention to detail. Her whole team worked together seamlessly to make sure my experience was outstanding. If you're looking for a professional and talented stylist who genuinely cares about her clients, I highly recommend Mallory at Maven Salon. I have my next appointment scheduled and can't wait!

I’ve been going to Mallory for 4 years now! I first started going to her in 2020 when I was desperate for someone to save my hair as it was so damaged and breaking off. It took several appointments, time, and chopping off a lot of my hair during our very first appointment, but 4 years later, my hair is back to being long, healthy, and beautiful! I can’t imagine going to anyone else! Plus I always enjoy our conversations every time I get to sit in her chair!😁 (her assistants are always fabulous as well!)

****WARNING!!!***** #1 WORST HAIR SALON IN LYNCHBURG I do not recommend anyone to go here. Lacie ruined my hair and it will take months maybe a year to recover. All I asked was for a red wine burgundy color and a haircut. After all the money I paid came out with my hair orange red. Never in my life have I paid so much money and have my hair ruined. She even burnt my forehead with bleach. Lacie was more worried about rushing me out to cut some guy’s hair that she booked while doing my hair and she even made me wait 20 minutes from my appointment time. When I called to tell them about the horrible job she did not once did anyone apologize or offer a solution. I have been so devastated that I have been walking around with a hat. I paid almost $400 to get my hair ruined. They were not professional at all. After this experience I will never let anyone in Lynchburg touch my hair again!! Lacie’s beautician license should be revoked!! I’m lucky I still have my hair.

From the beginning of my appointment today I was welcomed with so many smiles and greetings! I went in for a back to school/fall time hair makeover with Miss Laci and she did not disappoint (pictures below)! She was very kind and very attentive, I could tell she really loves what she does and cares about each and every client that sits in her chair! I cannot say a single bad thing about my services today nor the environment I was in! I will definitely be going back to visit Miss Laci at Maven Salon!

Maryhelen gave me the the most gorgeous balayage and highlights I’ve ever had- it was exactly what I wanted and more. She’s super talented, easy to talk to, and very sweet. I’ll definitely be back again.

They never answer the phone to make an appointment and when you walk in, they say you need to call and make an appointment. Very unprofessional.

Elizabeth did such an amazing cut on my hair. I was very specific in what I wanted and she absolutely exceeded my expectations! I love my hair, I had a vision of what I wanted and she understood it perfectly. Highly recommend!

Hands down THE BEST salon experience I've ever had!!! I called in with a hair emergency. I had dyed my hair traffic cone orange and needed it to be back to a natural color right away. They fit me in the day I heard back from them! The staff was amazing and so kind, and my hair looks BEAUTIFUL now! Thank you Maven!!🫶

What would I do without Mallory and Lacy 😫 Maven is so beautiful and has a great layout with comfy and bonus amenities (hello neck massage in the calming wash room!). Mallory had vision AND execution, keeping me happy and involved in every step. I wanted to lighten up my natural blonde hair and did in some Barbie highlights… mission accomplished! Mallory shaped me up with a razor cut and face framing while Lacy gave me a beautiful blowout with some soft, beachy curls. I will be a client for as long as I live here! I can’t thank them enough 🩷

Mallory and her entire team at Maven are incredible. Since the first time I went, I haven’t been anywhere else. The salon is a beautiful, relaxed environment and I always look forward to my hair appointments and the conversations we have. I’ve been getting extensions for almost 3 years now and Mallory’s knowledge at installing and color correcting is unmatched. I always recommend her to all my friends and family. You won’t be disappointed!

Ashley was great!! She was able to work with my difficult hair type to create my dream prom hair! While doing so, she also taught me tips and tricks to do something similar at home, which really showed how much she cared! The whole staff was so kind and welcoming - as soon as you walk in the door, you are greeted with warmth and acceptance. Highly recommend!

Ashley was wonderful. My hair looks good, my wife loves it (which is the main goal), and the haircut, beard, shampoo and massage only costed $35. It can't get better than that.

I normally go to a barber but decided to let my hair grow out a little more and wanted a stylist for my next haircut. Had a great experience here! Mary Helen was very kind and she did a great job with what I was looking for with my hair. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

I took my 16 yr old daughter to maven for a haircut and color. Ashley was amazing. She cut my daughters hair exactly like she wanted. The color she used for all over was wonderful and used a different shade for a halo look. The staff is wonderful. We were greeted when we walked in, and we were offered bottled water as well. Their prices are very affordable and we will definitely be going back to see Ashley.

I’ve been Maryhelen’s client during my last several appointments at Maven Salon, and she is an absolutely amazing hairstylist. After years of debating on whether I wanted to do something with my hair, other than a hair cut, I decided to take the plunge and try a balayage. During my consultation, I explained to Maryhelen I’d never dyed my hair before and how I was a little nervous to do so. She took her time and helped me figure out what I was looking for. She listened to me and ensured me that we would figure something out that would suit what I needed. She found reference pictures and helped me identify what I was looking for. She did an amazing job! I finally had my color appointment, and I am so pleased with how my hair came out! It is exactly what I wanted. Before we got started she doubled checked what I wanted and made sure we were on the same page. I am so happy with how it came out. Maryhelen is a top tier hairstylist and one I will continue to go to!

Just like Wyndhurst Salon, I left numerous messages over the past few months requesting a hair appointment and no one from Maven has ever called back. Poor service. I honestly can’t believe their downward spiral. Don’t waste your time. I’m moving on.

MaryHelen did my hair today, and I swear i have never felt prettier. The entire service was great. Friendly conversation, an amazing shampoo experience, and a killer scalp and neck massage. It was like i could feel all of my knots melt away from that massage. She gave me highlights and lowlights and they exceded my expectations! My hair looks absolutely amazing, and I will never see anyone but MaryHelen again! ❤️

Maven is my go-to for hair needs! They are always responsive to questions and messages, and patient with frequent rescheduling. Their stylists are all professionally mannered and do a great job of asking good questions to ascertain my needs.

Right when I walked in for my appointment I was greeted in the most friendly manner. They had a secure place to put my stuff while I got my hair done which was so nice. Also I was offered a cup of wine and water. My hairstylist Maryhellen, was absolutely amazing. She brought my dream hair to life and I couldn’t be more grateful. I will be returning for all hair needs from now on! ❤️

The whole process was so easy. From booking through a text to going and being welcomed. Then getting my hair cut. I definitely recommend Savannah. She knows so much. Even knew just what to do to get my hair back looking good again. It has been struggling with traveling all the time and using all different waters. She fixed it right up.

This place is great! The shampooing is so relaxing with quiet and a head massage. The hairdresser really took her time to make sure my cut was perfect. Everyone was kind and professional. One suggestion would be to have a couple of chairs by the door if you are waiting your turn.
