Best place in the whole world. Liz makes the best magic happen on the daily. Always kind and warm environment. I love my hair and the care I receive when I’m there. Thank you Liz. UPDATE 2 YEARS LATER: Liz is still a magician and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Such kindness. Some humanity. Love Maverick house and all the lovely people who are a part of it. Jenna is my go-to gal. I went in wanting a very specific shade of blonde and she made it happen without frying my hair off. I am obsessed with my hair. The salon environment is also very chill and welcoming with sweet salon pups. The prices are pretty fair, so that’s a plus. Highly recommend!!

I had an incredible experience at Mavericks as someone who is very particular about my hair, I’ve never just walked into a salon before, but I’m so glad I did. Liz did an amazing job! She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and made me feel completely at ease. The result was perfection—I couldn’t be happier with my haircut! And the cherry on top? Archie, the salon’s adorable King Charles Cavalier, sat on my lap the entire time. He’s such a sweet and calming presence, making the experience even more enjoyable. The salon’s welcoming vibe and attention to detail truly set it apart. I’ll definitely be back—thank you, Liz and team, for such a wonderful experience!

Jenna has been cutting and coloring my hair for two years now, and I don’t know what I ever did without her! She is so incredibly skilled, has an immaculate attention to detail, and always manages to make me feel like a million bucks when I get up from her chair. A great cut at a reasonable price, with a healthy helping of friendly gossip and banter, and a special appearance from the shop dog who sat on my lap to keep me company during the cut. Jenna did an AMAZING job, and made me look and feel my absolute best walking out the door for my bachelor party. The atmosphere in Maverick is so welcoming and warm, by the end of my hair experience I felt like I had made 4 new friends. Thanks again folks!

Came across this place via a friends recommendation. The stylists are all friendly and knowledgeable and answer all my questions. I have been coming regularly for a year for a bleach and tone and I get compliments from strangers on my color! Ask for Jenna she’s the best. Also they have excellent coffee and the products smell heavenly.

I’ve been coming to Bobby for 10 years and would never let anyone else color my hair! But everyone at this salon is amazing (I’ve gotten blowouts and hair treatments by most of them). I genuinely look forward to my appointments!

Love it here! Such a fun, friendly vibe with talented stylists. I've been seeing Jenna for years and I trust her completely with both my cuts and my color. Also, they have a dog mascot that is the cutest and lounges around asking for pets while you're here, definitely a plus.

Such incredible service here from the second you walk in. Anna and Bobby immediately made me feel at home - the shampoo had an amazing head massage and I left with the best blowout. So convenient especially if you’re in the neighborhood!

This “hidden gem” was recommended to me from a trustworthy friend- and she was spot on! I scheduled with Bobby; one of the Owners and he did not disappoint!! He’s a Color Artist who crafts an individual approach to the look you wan to achieve. He is also great with creating movement and volume with hairstyles that are tailored to your style, and hair quality. Super happy with my results and he also has the cutest dog; Archie who greets you at the door with a soft kiss. Thank you!!

Recently, I got a haircut from Jenna here at the salon. I have thick, wavy hair and was looking for a haircut that would add some movement, all while trusting someone with my long locks. Jenna listened carefully and offered some helpful suggestions. She is very skilled and took their time to ensure the cut was perfect. I absolutely love my new haircut, and it's been so easy to style at home. The salon itself was clean and professional, and everyone was very friendly.

Maverick House is a true West Village gem. Everything in this salon from the feel, to the stylists, to the hair services themselves are top of the line. Professionals in every sense of the word. Bobby and Anna saved my life. After getting haircuts from Anna, I look at myself in the mirror with 10x the confidence (and I have a lot of confidence to begin with). Would rate this place a 6/5 if I could.

What a great experience. I haven't had much experience at nicer salons like Maverick House, so I was kind of nervous, but Jenna was amazing! She talked through what I was looking for and what I was hoping to accomplish with my cut. She spent a lot of time educating me on my hair care moving forward, which I appreciate, as I'm still trying to understand what is best for my hair. And then the cut and style was awesome! An overall great experience. I'll definitely be going to her again.

Absolutely amazing spot! Liz gave me a bob cut with razors and I swear she was cutting strands individually. Plus I got many good styling tips. Liz can single-handedly drag me by the lapel into womanhood and honestly I am so grateful for it! 100/10 would recommend

I come to Maverick House to see Topher when he is in town. I love this place! It’s so cute and chic, always clean, and I love the location, in one of the prettiest parts of NYC. Topher has been cutting my hair for 15 years now, and I always feel so glam after seeing him. Best stylist I have ever been to, no competition, and the most fun.

I followed Jenna to Maverick House. The salon is beautiful and welcoming. Staff is great and the products are impeccable. Jenna is the only person I trust with cutting, styling and coloring my hair. She is great at ensuring you get exactly what YOU want. It took me years to find a colorist that could actually do everything they promised, listened and achieved exactly what I wanted. She has great insight and knowledge- which is so helpful when I am unsure on what exactly I want. I love that I can walk in with an idea and that Jenna has the skills to make it happen. No more leaving a salon sad that I didn't get quite what I wanted. Thanks Maverick House and Jenna!

I have never felt more beautiful than I did after walking out of Maverick House. Jenna gives me THE best cuts I have ever had — beyond that, she is the colorist of everyone’s dreams. I walked in with the wild fantasy of being a Marilyn Monroe white-blonde and she got me there in one session. I have never been happier with my hair! + the vibes at Maverick House are top tier. So warm, so welcoming, such a gorgeous space to sit in for several hours. You will laugh and smile yourself silly and end up the most gorgeous you’ve ever been. 10/10.

I was recommended Maverick House by 2 separate friends that have amazing hair. I finally scheduled an appointment with Liz and could not be happier! Liz took a look at my hair and needed very little guidance (but was open to as much as I wanted to provide) but knew exactly what to do. I trusted her totally and it paid off, I got a great cut and color and my hair feels refreshed and super fitting. I definitely will be going back and will make this cozy and cool salon my go-to.

Jenna H is a queen and a style icon. She has cut my hair many times as well as done single and double process color and the work is always stunning. She's also a wonderful person to chat with while getting my hair done. It always makes for a fun experience with fabulous end results. I've gone to so many stylists in NY over the years and there's never been another Jenna!
