Everyone is wonderful exact the black guy he’s kind of big He cut my hair ugly n I hate how he did my hair in general my hair was not cute that ONE time!! He was cool tho, but I would never let him touch my hair again! I will return because I love my service from everyone else Even when I tried curls after a couple days I was in love with my curls when they fell a bit and my silk presses be bouncy n flawless. They get u in and out n they always be so nice and clean

I’ve been going to this place 4+ times a year since 2021. And I used to love how they did my hair. Even when I moved from the south side, I would do the hour long commute because I trusted them with my hair. But this last visit, they completely burned my hair. My roots won’t curl at all. I probably spent more money on treatments for heat damage than I did on getting it done. Very disappointed.

Losing their touch !!! Went here for dye and layers and boy do I regret it. I was rushed into a color constantly being told to trust them it will look good oppose to listening to what I requested. The lovely shampoo girl recommended to the stylist that we lift my hair to achieve the color wanted. The dark bald guy told her no it will be fine just dye it in a rush. And so she did. My roots were orange and the rest of my hair was black. I told them I didn’t like it and asked how we could fix it. The dark bald guy started yelling the only way you can get this color is if you bleach it. I was like well the shampoo girl recommended that before we started and you told her not to. Then kept yelling bleach bleach bleach after color was already in my hair for 45 minutes. So I recommended that we cover it with another color so that I didn’t have orange roots and dark ends. I wanted auburn brown not orange by the way lol. So the stylist started getting frustrated and said they would fix it. I asked how but no words were given just more playing in my damn head. The guys that smelled of cigarettes can touching all I my hair which made my hair smell like cigarettes when I left was another unsatisfactory experience. They put more color in it to pretend to fix it. Then chopped most of my hair off to try to blend the color and called it layers 🙄 then tried to gas me up and say it looks good and it didn't. Layers were thick, clumpy and uneven. Orange roots with black ends. Looks like a poorly done box dye. I could have paid 15$ and did a better job at home. Will not be returning.

Great service! Professional stylists who frequently check in to see if you’re feeling good. They were fast, thorough and attentive. I highly recommend Max & Co and will be going back soon. Reasonable prices!

I've Been Coming Here For Years and Never Have I Ever I Guess When Max Isn't Present They Set Their Own Prices. Today I Went In Just For A Wash and Blow Dry No Styling or Clipping Needed and They Tried To Charge Me $50 No Ma'am I Have Never Paid More Than $30--35 For A Wash and Blow Dry and I'm Not About To Start

This shop is like going home to a place you know and love. Many people have known the owner for over 20 years. You are always welcomed by the staff. This plce specializes in non permed hair and can straighten natural hair beautifully. The shop does professional looks and curls only, so for that Pattie LaBell /Nicki Minaj look, you may not find it here LOL! Stop in and try them, you will be in and out with no hassell or hard sales.

my hair looks a literal MESS. the man that blow dried my hair did great but then a man that was a BARBER, straightened it and it looks horrible! never going again to this place 😒

I brought my 8 year old daughter in for a deep conditioner and style. The owner watched as one of his hairstylist detangle my daughter hair. The owner got upset and began speaking Arabic to the hairstylist then the owner began to detangle my daughter’s hair very harshly to the point that my daughter began crying, I could see that he was being very rough with her and I told him that he was handling my daughter’s hair extremely harsh. The owner got mad and shouted at me saying,” Well you shouldn’t have brought her here with her hair tangled!” He was very nasty and I told him that we were leaving, then he asked his worker to resume doing my daughter’s hair. I noticed immediately after the incident he went into a corner in the back of the hair salon and got on his knees doing some kind of prayer ritual. I will NEVER go back to this salon. In fact, I thought about calling the police several times following the incident but I let it go. This situation caused my little girl to be very fearful of going to the salon. What started out as a nice day for my daughter getting her hair done turned into a nightmare!

Max is a vet. You always leave with shiny, bouncy, healthy hair. Your head/scalp will love it here, where the best shampooing--- hair washing in the city happens. :=). Max always delivers on providing efficient service at reasonable rates.

Max has done it again! He has perfectly trained Mark. Mark is a pro and sooo gentle with his Blow dry technique, he isn't burning your scalp or having you come out smelling like burnt hair. Also Torrey is doing a great job with the styling. Thanks Max
