This was the best salon experience that New York has to offer. Max provided education on hair care and my Afro textured hair felt so soft and moisturized after just one visit. She truly is gifted, I’m so very happy I found her. If you want to start your heathy hair journey, look no further.

The service was amazing and my hair came out great. Very satisfied and can see myself being a longtime customer (I already scheduled return appointments through November). Really appreciated the consultation which was very in depth and educational leaving you equipped with the tools to make sure you always choose the right products for your hair. And as a natural girly I always struggle with finding products my hair loves and needs. My silk press came out great, she got rid of the damage with a much needed trim and styled it perfectly. The only negative was she was 20 minutes late and I had to wait out in the cold for some time as I had the first appointment of the day. I was a little annoyed, but gave grace as I know I am not always on time either. I just wish the customer service team reached out to let me know she was going to be late so I could have went in the nearby coffee shop sooner. But she made up for it with the service and getting me out of the salon earlier than originally scheduled. 10 out of 10.

Let me start by saying the service I received was exceptional. The salon was decorated beautifully and was clean. Max went above and beyond to make me comfortable. I love how my hair looks. She gave me a consultation related to my hair type and explained what I needed to do for my hair to thrive. (Something no other stylist has ever done with me before.) My plan is to keep up with my maintenance appointments. Book with Max you will get the best individualized salon service. You won’t regret it.

My first experience was more than expected, Maxx is very outgoing, down to earth and she makes you feel comfortable while in the shop. I was really pleased about all the care and education I was getting about my natural hair and how to maintain it to keep it healthy until the next appointment. Most salon will have you in & out but Not her she takes her time & gives the hair all the TLC it needs.

I always have a great experience at this hair salon. Max is very knowledgeable about all diffent hair textures. During my appointments she always gives detailed information on my hair growth plan/ journey to maintain/ reach my hair growth goals. She really should me called the hair doctor! While Maxx is a skilled hairstylist, she is very messy and unprofessional. Despite her claims of valuing hair integrity and protecting her brand, she often engages in deceitful behavior. She indulges in gossip, misrepresents conversations, and pretends to be innocent when confronted. Her actions caused misunderstandings and conflicts, and it's clear why other clients have left due to her messiness in the past. Furthermore, Maxx manipulates her appointment schedule by closing her books on Fridays and Saturdays, creating the illusion of being fully booked to ensure these days are "worth her while." This practice is deceitful and undermines her supposed integrity. Ladies, please avoid booking squeeze-in appointments with her. Be cautious if you choose to use her services.

Would not recommend. Find another stylist that is not a scammer. I did a consultation and a single weft install another time. First, for the consultation she didn't start until past the grace period. I wasn't upset since I understood she was busy. I got my install done another time, it was nice; however the color of the hair was brown and not my hair color (although I put on the survey that I wanted 1b.) I paid a hefty deposit for the second service which is the maintenance which was due 3 weeks from the original install. Tried to reach out (called and emailed) that I was coming in a bit late. Also tried to reach out for rescheduling after the appointment was canceled on their end once it passed the grace period. No one responded to calls, voicemails, emails until the end of the week, while they were posting on social media. The hair stylist Mariah and I tried to arrange another time (which she wanted to do 5 weeks from install). This was a contradiction, since she mentioned during my first install she take people hair out if they don't do maintenance at 3 weeks. She gave me two options that included waiting another 2 weeks and no refunds and pay additional money to remove, etc. She did not mention anything once I told her its best to get it removed somewhere else now. Decided to go somewhere else to remove the install after that convo since it was ready to be taken out and would have cause damage to my hair. Once you join the service and you no longer want to be part of it because of scheduling, money is WITHDRAWN from your account with no permission. No refunds on the deposit either. $1,000 all gone from me due to this establishment. This is neglect, horrendous communication, and not professional. Please find someone else and save yourself from this fraud

What a wonderful experience! This was my first time going to MaXximized Hair Studio and Mariah was fabulous. Not only did she give my hair a much needed trim and blowout, but her knowledge of natural haircare was very impressive. I left there feeling beautiful and armed with important tips on how to take better care of my hair. I'll definitely be back.

Honestly the most trusted hair stylist I’ve come across. Maxx has taught me so much about my hair, more than I’ve learned anywhere else. She’s big on hair health and definitely has growing hands. Not only is her salon therapeutic for our hair but in my experience has been therapeutic to my being. I am ever so grateful to have met her and have multiple opportunities to sit in her chair. I booked a new customer appointment in advance - I was running 3 minutes late so called to let them know, I was told she was running 10 minutes behind herself. I arrived and couldn’t get in as no one was there so waited on the street. 25 minutes later I was concerned, I couldn’t get through to anyone on the phone and my emails bounced. I was stood on the street thinking I might have been scammed. Then someone turned up, slowly got out their car and opened the door. I assumed I should follow inside, she didn’t apologise for being late - instead she told me “can’t I be late because I’m running errands” and then told me to leave because she didn’t like the look on my face or my energy (shock, that look was shock). How someone can not pick up the phone, be 25 minutes late and then yell at the customer they are late for. I’m now $000’s out of pocket. Not sure if it’s extreme rudeness or a scam. Either way - DO NOT GO HERE. The good reviews must be fake.

I have been coming to Maxx on my now third session & satisfied is not even the word to describe how I leave her shop each time. I get the Silk press experience & it definitely is a luxurious informational experience. Maxx takes her time and walks you through everything about your hair. Not to mention, gentle and the sweetest too! Every-time I have left her chair with my silky hair, it lasts for weeks and I still have my natural curls once washed again! I can’t wait to continue my hair journey with my girl 🥰

I love love love my experience with maxximized hair salon. She is so friendly and thorough. She is so sweet and provided so much useful information. She truly understands the science behind hair. She offered tips and product information that is most beneficial to my hair. She explained and showed me everything she did from beginning to end. I went to Mariah in April for a silk press + trim and the experience took me back to younger me when my mom used to take me to the salon to get my hair done. Mariah knows what she’s doing…and she got a marcel stove! Overall, her willingness to explain each step of the process for you in detail is very reassuring. I left feeling like a valued customer, definitely will be returning!

Mariah is an amazing stylist who really cares about hair health. I am so glad I found her cause its been a struggle to find someone who cares about my overall hair health. At MaXximized I feel so comfortable and welcomed, it is overall an amazing experience. I struggle with seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp and she has never made me feel bad about it but instead helps me with a regimen to treat it. I also loves that Mariah introduces her clients to each other, so that we're not sitting there in complete silence. Overall, a 10/10 experience everytime i visit-would recommend to anyone 👌. Update: I've now been coming to Mariah for over 2 years and I couldn't be happier! She is amazing and good at what she does. My hair and scalp has flourish under her care. I highly recommend her, if you're looking for someone who truly cares about the health of your hair!

What can't I say about Maxx? She's all things amazing. She took the time not only to treat my daughter's hair with care but she took time to educate us on the importance of haircare and products that are healthy and not healthy. Maxx is very informative.
