Fast, friendly, quality cut for an unbeatable price. I used to just give myself buzz cuts. For the last few months I've been wearing my hair a tad longer, so now require professional help. I went to Rudy's 3 different times and was butchered 3 different times for the price of $35. You could actually see the scissor lines hacked all over my tapered sides (cleverly hidden with the gel they applied at the end but discovered after the next shower). Or if I didn't tell them about glaring irregularities they didn't seem to notice. (I mean I would have to go home and fix my haircut). I knew about Rudy's roulette but 0 for 3 is ridiculous. Here on the other hand all the little obviously needed micro adjustments were attended to with precision and ease. I don't love when places charge me more for a women's cut when it's the same haircut they give to a million men for less. But in this case I have zero complaint because it's still just $14 (vs $12). I heard of May Hair Design via my coworker, and I'm here to keep the praise moving along. Come support this business, the hipster barbers at Rudy's can hack away on someone else. I know this review sounds like a slam at Rudy's, and it is; but the point is to draw the comparison that May Hair Design is SO much better! I just left happy as a clam with my cute haircut and am looking forward to my next visit.

I got a women's hair cut at May's. She is very professional, friendly, and quick (about 20-25 min)! She even layered beautifully according to my natural hair type and cared a lot about my style preferences. My partner compliments me on how nice my side bangs look, and it's all thanks to May! I'm so glad to have found her salon!

They were super nice and fast to get me in for a haircut as a walk in despite a busy day! I've also gotten my nails done here before and was really happy! Very affordable as well.

Been going to May's for 22 years and always get a Great Haircut from her. Pre-pandemic, while waiting, you would see the Haircuts and Perms of her other customers and they look Great. I always have fun complementing them and see the big smile on their face. May is a very positive person, who makes her customers feel welcomed. She cuts hair fairly quick and charges a lot lower than other shops. 5 Stars with me. My parents like her too.

Note that this business is cash only. May dyed my hair a little too light and reddish to match my original hair color. I ended up liking my hair, even though it wasn’t what I had asked for. I would just recommend requesting your specific hair color (specify the number on the label) so you for sure get the result you want. May was super friendly and I had a nice time visiting with her and the other people in this small, affordable salon.

May and her staff are incredible!! Their hair cuts are high end salon quality, but a fraction of the price, and no wait! I usually go to May and decided to try another place who messed up my hair-- May was able to fix it in no time, without taking off too much length like I asked her to.

Parking is a little strange, you have to drive over the curb and be careful not to back into a tree or telephone pole cable. The place is a little iffy from the outside but May does a good job, is inexpensive, and if you give her a heads up she can accommodate multiple people at once.

I have been going to May for the past twelve years. She always does an amazing job. I tend to want more volume because my hair is on the thinner side and she always delivers! I have received haircuts from big name hair salons before and I always prefer May's more. Thank you May!
