I had a very unprofessional experience with Maya when I booked an appointment for knotless box braids. I paid my deposit and set a date, but as the appointment approached, I reached out to Maya multiple times without receiving a response. The night before my appointment, she finally contacted me to say she was feeling unwell and needed to reschedule. Unfortunately, she did not refund my deposit of $25, which I chose to overlook. On the day of the rescheduled appointment, I sat in her chair, and after assessing my hair, Maya tried to charge me an additional $50 due to the texture of my curly hair. This was shocking because we hadn't discussed any extra charges, and I had previously visited her for the same hairstyle without any additional fees. There was also no mention of extra charges on her website. Feeling uncomfortable with how she handled the situation, I decided to leave. Fortunately, later that day, I found someone else who could do my hair exactly how I wanted for a much cheaper price. While some may have had positive experiences with her, mine was quite the opposite, so consider this a warning.

Extremely unprofessional. If you come here expect no greeting, loud music, and your hair to be gripped, pulled and yanked harshly. You will be charged extra if your hair is thick and healthy, you will be charged extra if your hair isn't steamed, laid and professionally flat ironed and detangled. I suggest a pastor pray over your scalp after this godless woman plays in your hair.

Never ever come here really bad customer service I’m already bald headed and she literally pulled the little bit of hair I have out when I asked for a refund I got refused now I’m out of 200+ on a hairstyle that is untangling

She was coughing all over her hands and into my hair. There’s no greeting and barely any form of communication the whole appointment. There was no care put into the way she handled my hair, I could hear it breaking as she ripped through it. Just an overall negative experience

Terrible service and was extremely rude. She was very rough with my hair and detangling. She was complaining about the hair I provided when I asked her prior to service what she needed.After taking my braids out my hair fell out. DO NOT GO TO HER

literally no customer service at all didn’t say a single word to me was very rude to everyone. don’t come if you want to leave with hair missing she ripped through my thick hair and would take a rat tail comb and rip out my hair and YES. i came washed and blow dried! im just a black woman with thick hair, and so is she, so youd think she’d take better care of my natural hair but no. this lady is just in it for the money and you can tell she could care less about the person in her chair save your money and invest it somewhere else!

Paid $300 and could not have my hair in for a week. My scalp started turning red and became itchy. I paid a extra hundred for human hair but the braids were synthetic and not washed😩 I had a allergic reaction and had to take the hair down after only having it done for 4 days😭 She did use human hair on the curly parts of my bohemian braids though. I'm sad I wasted all that money and being a single mom to two kids made it much worse😩
