Love love Mayra's Hair Salon. She is the best. And the atmosphere is calm & so welcoming. And Maria, she is the best female barber ever, she has been cutting my son's hair since he was 10 years old & he is 21 now. He will not let anyone else touch his hair. Highly recommend both these beauties.

Wow I wish I took a before and after pic. My hair was a very dark brown. I let my color grow out for almost 2 years. Mayra really fixed my hair color so beautifully that I can't believe it!

I've been hooked on Maria's fades since her days at Hair America on 59th & Kedzie. Best cut I've ever had. The amount of customers that followed her from H.A. to S.M. proves that I'm not the only one who feels that way. As if that wasn't enough, she's he kindest, most generous, funniest person I know. We're Family at this point.

I was recommended this place by multiple friends and I finally wanted to see if the place lived up to the hype. It did. I had Maria as my barber, and she made sure my envisioned hair came to light. She constantly asked questions throughout the process, and always does so in a friendly tone. End result was exactly how I envisioned it, but better. And plus, the cut was only $15 for me, which was surprising because it was better than other places in which I paid more for. 5/5 would come here again.
