Ruben gave me a great haircut! He gave me exactly the look I was asking for. I have a new style that I love! Update: I've been going to Ruben now for a whole year and he never dissapoints. Today I walked out of there with a great new style, an updated medium shag, which I love.

I have needed a haircut and style for about 8 months. I never know what looks best for me and prefer the hairstylist make the decision about what will look best on me for the basic requirements I have. So a coworker had a clean cut (one that looks like it was done with a razor but was done with shears and that tells me someone knows what they are doing) and I asked where he went. Well it was McIntyre's Salon. So I called, booked an appointment for the next day and met with Rubin. He asked me what my preferences were, and I said, I garden and cook and look at a computer 90% of my time and I don't want hair in my face. I told him I will wear his business card out on my head and if others like it.. I will share the info on where and who. Tada! before I even left the salon another customer complimented me on the hairstyle and I could see the smile beam from Rubin. He is building his clientele and he has some serious skills! He chose the hairstyle, showed me a picture of parts of what it would look like and he did a quick and very professional job. He also isn't someone who just is a counselor while you get your hair cut, he asks questions and shares of himself to set you at ease and make a real connection. Clean Salon, well appointed and MORE than worth a visit to this salon if you haven't before, as they have some serious talent to be shared! Thank you, I will be back!

Ruben is new at this salon but an experienced stylist and he did an amazing job. Best cut I have had in years and I am 71 years old. Perfect inverted bob that need not fixes when I got home and it is growing out beautifully. He is the real deal. Hope he stays in the area now that I have finally found him.

I love the staff here, they are amazing people and are very good about asking how you would like them to cut your hair, and checking in often to make sure it's okay. Holly is the GOAT of hair!! She does an amazing job with my curly short hair.

My sister had a stroke a couple of years ago. It has been hard to find a decent place to get her hair cut. This salon was IT!!! They were pleasant compassionate, listened to what she wanted and did an excellent job delivering. They made her feel whole. Bless them, they are special indeed. Will be back.

I have lived down in the Portage area for a few years now . I have been to quite a few hair salons and have not been completely satisfied. I knew of McIntyre's and finally made a call. I went this past week for a haircut which was badly needed and I was so satisfied and happy. The stylists name is Lori and she has been in this business 30 years. She really knew what she was doing with my hair and I was so pleased. Now I want to go and get my hair highlighted. This is a very nice place and the people are so pleasant . I would very much recommend this salon.

I've been going here for about 2 years since I moved into the Portage area. I originally started with Bailey and she was always wonderful. After she had to leave, I started to see Brian and he's been absolutely amazing as well. Everybody is so personable, friendly and make the entire experience from start to finish a breeze. I constantly praise to my friends and coworkers how great they are and hope all the best for this establishment!

The Salon is always clean and inviting, and the staff is friendly. The work stations are well spaced apart, so there's little risk of COVID spread, but wearing a mask is still an option. I've been going there for haircuts for many years and it's always been a terrific facility.

This place is AMAZING I have been going to Andrea for over a year now. She is totally the best. I can bring in a picture and she will look at it with me and talk about the pros and cons of the style and tweak it to make it my own. I have never been disappointed by any haircut Andrea has done!! An absolute salon you need to go to!!!

Brian has been styling my hair for several years. I am always very pleased with the results. My hair has been short and medium long and he always knows how to style it beautifully. He has recommended the best products for my hair, when asked, and is always fair in his charges. Brian is also very personable and engages in fun and interesting conversation. I highly recommend Brian.

Not at all what I was looking for with my hair color, they were willing to fix it, but I was told that I had to wait almost a week and we’ll after the event that I was needing it done for. No sense of urgency for addressing unsatisfied customers, but overall friendly and accommodating.
