I had a great experience at Me on 2nd Salon. As someone with long curly hair who had previously received a really uneven curly cut at another salon, Marcos helped layer, style and even out my hair. My haircut looks beautiful and I couldn’t be happier. Will be back!

Update: Emily did an amazing full balayage for me yesterday and I absolutely love it! I received so many compliments! She took her time with my hair care and coloring and taught me so much about my hair. The other stylist as well provided great tips and were super friendly and hospitable. I will be coming back for future hair cuts and coloring services! I had an amazing experience with my haircut and will be coming back for hair coloring here very soon ! Emily was my hairstylist. She was very informative about my hair and which products I should be using to maintain healthy hair. I like how she also was encouraging me about things I do correctly in my hair care routine and what things I should tweak. Very professional staff and super friendly! I learned so much about hair care than I ever have without feeling pressure to buy salon products.

I came in to get my hair in curly cut layers for my birthday celebration. I came out revived in beauty, exactly what I wanted. Hair is truly personality! Their client service/hospitality was EVERYTHING. My fro is beautiful thank you so much.

I know this will probably sound like a paid ad but honestly, my favorite haircut in a while. I have pretty curly hair so it’s always a struggle to find someone to cut it right. But Cathy & Marcos took the time to really understand what I was looking for and cut it properly. Also, cute pups in the shop is always a win in my book 😂🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

Just got done getting a curly hair blow out and absolutely loved my experience! You are greeted with great customer service and cute puppies! My stylist went above and beyond in trimming my hair to correct a previous haircut. They definitely know how to work with curly hair here!

I love this place and have gone for sweet queer haircuts for a couple years. They've gotten me in last minute when a home haircut went awry. The owners are chill, the dogs are adorable, the salon is clean and inviting, and it's so reasonably priced.

I cannot get over how well they do my hair here. One of the best hair salons I have ever gone to! Not only do they execute the haircut just like you want but they know so much about the science behind it all as well. In addition to all of that, they're very kind and welcoming. I highly recommend coming here!

I had an extremely positive experience at this salon. I had booked both cut and color, but my day got a little crazy, so I called the salon to inform them of my concerns about time. They were able to accommodate me early and were super friendly about it. On top of that, they did a stellar job with my hair and made me feel very comfortable in the salon.

I saw Marcos and he used his BalyWeave technique to give me a really beautiful, natural-looking blonde color. I couldn’t be happier with how my hair turned out, between the color itself, and the fact that my hair feels smoother and healthier than it did before coloring. He is incredibly good at what he does, and very knowledgeable too. The salon experience was super positive - everyone was upbeat and friendly, the music playlist was great, and they have the cutest little dogs to greet you. Overall, I don’t think it’s possible for me to visit any other salon, as I feel well taken care of at Me on 2nd.

ME on 2nd is my go-to spot, always a wonderful experience! Such consistently kind and top-notch service from Gato and everyone there. I've been getting my haircut from Cathy for awhile and she is FANTASTIC. Cannot recommend enough, such a gem in the neighborhood.

I've been searching for a curly hair salon in Philly after my last one closed down, and I was so lucky to find this gem in Northern Liberties! I had gotten a curly cut with a natural curl diffuse done at Me on 2nd, and I left with my expectations met and was truly satisfied. Cathy explained the science behind my hair texture and type, and showed me how exactly to style my curly hair to achieve volume and definition. I will definitely be recommending this salon to friends and family, and coming back soon! :)

It is really rare that I get so excited about a place that I leave a google review. However Meon2nd is just that good I needed my voice to be heard. I went in for a haircut while I was next door getting packages once a few weeks ago and Cathy immediately made me a regular. Although I usually don’t trust a “flashy” atmosphere which seems like what northern liberties tries to “target” this was An environment filled with warmth and comfort and a team that is stacked with absolute experts. I now look forward to our next visit. Cathy is my new best kept secret, and I hope this google review doesn’t get her so booked that she doesn’t have room for my head anymore! She fixed my previous (AWFUL) haircut done by someone else and is the best haircut I ever got. I now don’t even tell them what haircut I want…. Just let the artist go to work! A level of trust I NEVER have with any other place. With Cathy I was able to conversate and get along really well with her which is important for me. One of the many many reasons why this haircut was expensive but can honestly say worth every cent. Cant wait for next time

The place is clean and so well kept, the service here is great. And, of course that is because the folks here are top notch (it all starts at the top and I have to credit G&M). And, of course last but not least, Cathy my stylist is the best - she is a sweetheart. She gave me so many pointers to do at home to keep my hair healthy.

First time customer here and I will definitely be back. I am a 45 yo male who usually gets a fade or a high and tight. I typically go to barbers but recently lost mine. It's been hard to find a new one, so I gave this salon a try and I was not disappointed. The cut was reasonably priced and the experience and attention to detail top shelf.

I had the best experience at ME on 2nd. Marcos took my flat hair and made it amazing. He has the best vibe and and great conversation. Gato was very accommodating when booking my appointment. Very clean salon, excellent services, and an amazing hair cut. What more could a girl ask for!

One of the best salons I’ve been to. Everyone who works there is super nice, they offer drinks from time to time, haircuts always come out great. Gato is super responsive and tries to fill you when whenever he can. There’s been a couple times where I was late and any other place would’ve canceled, but gato finds a way. Couldn’t recommend it enough

I've been going to Me on 2nd since moving nearby about 2 years ago. I am never disappointed. My most recent cut with Anthony has been my best yet. As a guy with neither loose nor tight curls it can be very hard to find a stylist who can get the right shape, but Anthony always has me covered. Can't recommend this salon enough. My girlfriend also comes to this salon now, it's that good.

Love this salon and my hair! I decided to get my hair colored fully from a dark brown to a grey silver look. I’ve never been happier with my hair! Master stylist was upfront and candid about everything and is a lovely guy! 100 recommend this place, I’ve been referring people because they’re asking me where I got it done! 💯😍

My hairdresser of nearly 20 years moved to Florida and after much research I decided to try this salon. I was impressed by the vibe, decor and energy. I must say I got the best haircut by Marcos. This place is a true gem, you will not be disappointed!

There a great salon. They Definitely know what there doing when it comes to hair. Unfortunately they are pretty pricey with a $50 consultation ( no that doesnt get added with the price of getting your hair actually done) they are a bit sketchy with prices but at least you walk out looking like a super star

We went to this place for a very last minute blow out for a friend and a hair mask for two other people. I didn’t make an appointment or at least I did (same day) but it wasn’t confirmed but we still showed up and they actually squeezed us in to their schedule. I would really recommend to book an appointment. Everyone was very friendly and always try engage you in a conversation. The salon and the bathroom was very clean and is well-kept. I must have missed it but I don’t think they have curling irons here, I think they only use a blow dryer and a round brush for your blow out (at least that’s what they did to my friend). It looks nice tho. Queen was great and my friend she’s fantastic. Our hair was very soft after doing the mask and my friend liked her blowout. I think on their website it says “blow drying costs extra”. We didn’t get our hair blow dried because we wanted it to air dry. If you have any questions, just give them a call or text them, they are very responsive. Tiny gems: -the backyard I love how they have a backyard where you can sit (weather-permitting) while you wait for your hair to cure or do its thing. It is great to get fresh air and not smell all those chemical fumes from hair products. -snacks and drinks and waiting area This place offers snacks and drinks while you wait. They also have bar tables and chairs that is great for people that are not getting any thing done.
