Wow. I found this place looking for a clean air salon & ended up loving everything about it. Great vibes, quiet, NO CHEMICAL SMELLS 😃 hallelujah. Sarah knew how to See my thick wild mess of free spirited hair and she worked with all its quirks of past cuts gone awry & coaxed it into full glory. She was so sweet & wise and just a gem to work with. Met me at my level & upped it from there. Thank you !

I love this place!! The vibes are so dreamy, and it's location is great too! I make the drive from Eugene to Portland to get my hair cut by Hannah, and every time I leave feeling like I have princess hair. I trust her to help my hair vision come to life because it's clear she's really good at what she does! Also the first time I got my hair cut by her I was asked out on the street by someone afterwards, so there's that LOL. Highly recommend!

Âme hosts some of the nicest staff who possess exceptional skills when it comes to hair and customer service. As someone who has curly it’s been a journey finding a salon in Portland that truly knows how to cut and style this hair type. Ruth & Marci are masters of their craft when it comes to curly hair. Wow, best salon experience ever! If you are on the sensitive side like me, I highly recommend Ashley! She was so gentle with my hair, I left feeling relaxed…which is not usually my experience when I get my hair done! She did a great job and I love how my hair looks.

Do yourself a favor and book with Hannah! She was super responsive with scheduling a last minute appointment and incredibly easy to work with. I was looking to blend out some color done elsewhere, and she absolutely nailed it. She took the time to parse out what I was looking for while also giving her professional opinion along the way. She was a joy to work with, and I’ll most certainly be back for both cut and color! To top it off the salon is truly lovely. Between the natural sunlight and greenery, the aesthetic is a dream.

I am so glad I found Ruth; she took me from shoulder-length hair to a pixie cut, and it was a great experience overall. I have been a client of Marci’s for many years. I have followed her in her journey as a hairstylist. She makes all of us (her clients) beautiful in a very supportive environment. She is committed to giving her clients the best. She listens acutely to what cut and color I want and am never disappointed. The products she uses are gentle on the hair and environmentally conscious. Marci has been cutting my hair for years. Usually I arrive with a vague description of the vibe I want my hair to emanate and Marci, armed with nothing but my nebulous ramblings and maybe a picture or two, transforms my confused hair into a true expression of me, with just the right amount of edge and softness. She is exceptional with fine/swavy hair, short razor cuts, curls, trends, and product knowledge. She is also super fun to talk to when I'm feeling chatty but has also honored my need for silence and a quick nap while in the chair. Her intuition, creativity, and precision have made me a long-time client.

Marci has been my hair stylist for many years. I have fine, thinning, short hair and she makes it look chic and beautiful, and it grows out really well. She has decades of experience with all sorts of hair and treatments and I cannot recommend her skills highly enough!

Marci is the best! A pro with curly hair, sassy shapes, and razor cuts. Marci is a thoughtful stylist with a great eye. I’ve had thick, curly hair since forever and recently started to experience some pretty dramatic changes with my texture and hair volume. Marci has helped me navigate unexpected hair hurdles and is a fountain of hair knowledge - always down to share that expertise and geek out about product. Be it thick or unexpectedly thinner hair, Marci always provides a killer cut.

Ruth is amazing! If you are looking for close attentive care for your curls, go see her. I don't get my hair cut professionally very often because it's basically like trimming a hedge, but I wanted something new. She walked me through options for my cut, and then showed me things I didn't know about how to care for my curly-but-not-very-thick hair. It's been almost a month and she turned out to be totally right about all of them. My hair is happy whether it's humid or dry, and whether it's the first day after I wash it or three days later. She's also a very calm presence, and gives a delicious head massage.

Ruth is one of the most talented stylist I've met. They are meticulous, attentive, creative, considerate, curious, and kind. Ruth works with what you've got and what you want in a way that honors and highlights your hair texture, pattern, and preferences. I really appreciate how present they are during my visits, I feel both relaxed and energized afterwards. Ruth is extra unique in that they slow down and take the time to get to know your sensory needs and strive to integrate this into each step of the styling process. Part of me wishes I'd found Ruth sooner, but I know deep down I found them at the just the right time. They are a very special human who provides an outstanding service !

Ruth was so warm and welcoming, the entire appointment was so enjoyable. The haircut is amazing too! My curls have never looked so voluminous and healthy. Ruth also went into detail on the process of styling my hair from washing to drying and what products to use, but with no pushy sales tactics just an emphasis on what’s best for my hair. I’ll definitely be back!

Hannah Nylin is the last stylist I’ll ever use. First of all, she is a joy to be around. I enjoy intelligent and fun conversation, and she is as cute as can be. Her techniques are flawless, she is careful to figure out what you want, and she approaches her work like a true professional. Her salon is just so gorgeous, light and calming. I have never loved my hair. I do now - thanks to Jena. No joke. I’ve searched high and low for someone like her - she gets me and even more importantly, she gets my hair! I have a couple colleagues who also see Jena and we all have VERY different hair and couldn’t be more pleased with Jena’s work. The Covid precautions are clearly communicated and very apparently practiced, as you’ll see when you arrive. I felt completely safe. Every visit is a warm, welcoming, relaxing experience, and I leave feeling (and looking!) fantastic. Thank you, Jena! Looking forward to next time!!
