5 STARS!! I came to Ryann with split ends on an uneven, grown out bob that lacked vibrancy. During our consult, they heard and understood my goal: a defined style that reflected my personality. I left the salon that day with the most badass shag and a fresh sense of confidence. And that’s how I’ve left every visit since then! You know you’re in great hands when you walk back to your car with a huge smile on your face! Another thing I want to include is how exceptionally welcoming Ryann is. As someone with social anxiety, it can be really difficult to go to a new place, not knowing what to expect. Ryann recognizes and honors that with an incredibly helpful reel highlight on the salon’s IG account titled “what to expect”! So kind, so thoughtful and pretty much what prompted me to schedule at Medusa Lounge in the first place. Go see Ryann ASAP, they’ve GOT YOU!!

I've been a loyal client of Ryann’s for +/- a decade and I can honestly say that every visit is a terrific experience. Ryann makes you feel incredibly welcome and comfortable from the moment you walk in. The salon itself has a lot of personality, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. One of the unique features I love is that they showcase and sell local artists' work, adding a touch of creativity and community spirit to the space. Ryann always makes my hair look fantastic whether I’m getting a drastic cut, a dye, or just a trim. One of my favorite things do to is to make a bang trim appointment and add on a wash and style then have them style it like I’m Lizzy McGuire going to a very 90s prom when in reality, I’m just going to Kroger. They are the best stylist and I always leave the salon feeling absolutely thrilled with my hair. Thank you, Ryann, for always taking such great care of me and my hair. I can't imagine going anywhere else! I wish my fast growing hair grew faster so that I could have an excuse to come in even more. Excuse me while I go make an appointment now…

Ryann has been my go-to hair person for years now. I make the almost 3 hour drive one way to see them because I refuse to let anyone else touch my hair. Each appointment, Ryann does a thorough consultation to check in on me and the health of my hair. Being chronically ill, this means a lot to me because the state of my hair changes due to these issues and the medications I take. I like that I never feel rushed being in their chair and that they prioritize their clients and the quality of their work. I have naturally wavy/curly hair, and they’ve always managed to give me the best haircuts that work with the texture of my hair. I’ve never left even remotely unsatisfied, and I’ll keep make that trek to see them as often as I can!

I went to Ryann for my first haircut after regrowth from alopecia and I could not of had a better experience. They were so welcoming and have created a space that is safe for everyone. Such a welcoming and safe environment. As someone who has trouble settling into social situations, I felt comfortable and understood in this little, cozily decorated studio! There is so much to look at and enjoy in such a small space. Not to mention the great company :) Ryan is the sweetest and most caring hair stylist you will ever have! I showed them a video of what I wanted and explained the hair color I was going for and they delivered ten-fold!!! This is my new favorite place to go when my hair needs some help haha. I hope you’ll choose this place for your next hair appointment if you’re looking for a safe and genuine atmosphere. If I could give 11 stars I would. ⭐️

Ryann always does such an amazing job with my hair. I love the attention to detail they take and all the layers they do so masterfully! Another aspect I appreciate is that some days I am more chatty during my appointments and other days I want to be a bit more quiet. Ryann is always respectful of that and allows me as a client to be in control. It is a very welcoming, safe space!

It’s so difficult to find a new stylist especially when you’ve been in the industry but I’ve struck gold with Ryann. First the salon is so adorable and amazing and Ryann is easy to talk to and listens to you concerns wants and likes. When it comes to perfection Ryann is meticulous when it comes to your hair !! Super happy with my hair and you will be as well :)

Ryann gave me the best haircut I have ever had. They have created a comfortable, judgement free zone and I couldn't tell you how many times I've bragged about the experience. Ryann is insanely talented but also incredibly kind and willing to chat with you about all the things. I used to be a great clips gal, but since I started going to Ryann a few years back, I seriously can’t imagine going anywhere else. Ryann is always down for a weird (or totally normal!) new look, and is great at listening to my hair goals and making sense of the ideas I have a hard time putting into words. It’s such a cute and comfortable shop full of great local art, and Ryann’s overall just a really really pleasant person to chat with. Could not recommend higher to anyone, of any age or gender, Medusa Lounge is the way to go.

I used to dread getting my hair done at a crowded salon, Ryann’s suite is so quiet and peaceful. My cuts and color are long lasting and always spot on to what I requested. The space they create is so safe, I will never go to anyone else!

Im going to tell you the story of how I met this magical and talented creature that is Ryannnnn. Also, thats how my phone auto corrects their name for the record. I've never changed it. SO, we had a mutual friend (another talented and magical creature,) who began telling me about a hair stylist, and just like that, said hair stylist began to appear on my IG doing absolutely magical things to peoples hair. Everyone they pictured was absolutely glowing, usually expressing a genuine smile. I longed for that. I hadn't had the best experiences going to salons because alot didn't see my artistic visions or completely destroyed my hair. I have been going to Ryannnnn since 2018. I have never wanted to go to anyone else. I always enjoy my time with them and its been so fun to watch them grow! Its always exciting to watch good people get the things they deserve. ♡ I couldn't be prouder of a homie. I recommend you come here if you want a awesome experience. I recommend if you want a friend whose going to care about you and your hair when you're in their chair. I just spit a whole bar, that's how awesome they are. Do it, you won't regret it.

Not only is Ryann so kind and talented, they are incredibly gentle and calming with their presence. I’ve never had someone work so gingerly on my hair and take their time. They are meticulous in their craft and it shows. I left feeling like a new woman.

Ryann is an incredibly talented human with a heart that is so big and beautiful. They not only care about each client and their hair needs but also each client as a person. They are accommodating and passionate about creating a warm and welcoming space to all individuals. Their salon is adorable and has a homey type feel. They also have upfront pricing with gratuity included, and Ryann gives back to the community regularly. I’ve been getting my hair done with Ryann for a while now and they have helped me learn how to properly care for my hair and given me confidence back. They always listen to my ideas and offer suggestions when I ask. Absolutely phenomenal!

If you’re someone who wants to try something new, or fix a haircut you don’t love, or figure out a style that works for your life and maintenance needs, I trust Ryann to do all of those things. Making an appointment and parking outside the salon is also easy, and the space is very cozy and well-decorated. :-)

I've been going to Ryann for over a year now. I can tell her exactly what I'm picturing I want done to my hair, sometimes not in the best words, and she can recreate it exactly how I want it every time. I just got my hair cut for the first time in like 4 months and I feel the prettiest I've felt in so long. I think she might be a wizard, wizards are really cool, 10/10 would recommend 😎

Local art for sale and free plan B ❤️ Ryann is great with hair but also constantly giving back to the community by donating time, services, and goods. Up front, gratuity free pricing with an organized website where you can book easily without talking to anyone! There's also a pet fish!
