I do not write reviews, but yesterday I had Amanda cut my hair. Back when I was a teenager I had a haircut horror story where I had long beautiful hair and a different salon I went to back then messed my hair up and I had to cut off all of my hair. I had trust issues and haven't been to a salon in years. But Amanda did such a phenomenal job in cutting my hair she made me feel comfortable and worry free and she is so down to earth, I absolutely loved her! The atmosphere at Medusa is awesome and everyone is very welcoming, sweet and genuine. If anyone ever asks me about salon recommendations I will always recommend Medusa and I will always recommend for them to go to Amanda. This salon has fully gained my trust, and I 100% trust Amanda. I no longer have anxiety going to salons anymore due to my delightful experience here. I cannot thank her enough for making my hair so beautiful and making me feel beautiful! My heart is set coming here and I won't go anywhere else

The salon itself is very aesthetically beautiful, however, the hair stylists there are even better. Marguerite does a superb job coloring and cutting my hair. She makes the whole experience wonderful because she is so nice and treats you like you’re just hanging out with the girls the entire time. She listens to your needs and knows how to adjust the session to give you exactly what you want. Amanda washes my hair between coloring and treatment and is very sweet and personable and easy to talk to.

After some online research I took my 10 year old son (who HATES hair cuts) in for what some might consider a basic trim BUT he has long, thick and extremely curly hair so there’s nothing basic about it. After explaining what we were looking for, Marguerite gave her recommendations and went to work. Immediately, I could tell she knew what she was doing and understood how to handle his hair, using techniques I haven’t seen other stylist do. His hair came out the exact length (tricky with curly hair) and look we were going for and she even took the time to finger wrap each curly when styling. The cherry on top - my son said he liked her and would go back. Since she didn’t talk much while working, I’m going to assume he picked up on how she cut his hair with care and expertise. We are happy new customers!

Fit me in last minute, I loved the stylists they were so nice and welcoming. Did an amazing job on my hair. My hair was like 5 different colors and pretty damaged and they completely fixed my hair to a light brown color that I LOVE now . I had Emily as my stylist and she was great!! Thank y’all so much!

I had a great experience at Medusa Salon and will definitely be going back! The owner and her staff are very welcoming! The products used are cruelty free and organic ….which is a plus. The top notch products the salon uses to shampoo and condition, etc can also be purchased at an affordable price! Keep up the great work Medusa Salon!

I never know how to explain what I want. I get a little shy. Emily really took her time to understand me and even encouraged me to not give up and explain what I wanted. She said she really wanted me to have what I wanted and she delivered it. I got a short hair cut and a bleaching of all my hair and she did awesome on both. Go see Emily!

I went in yesterday for a root touch up to bleach my roots to match my platinum ends. It was the worst hair salon experience of my life. Margaurite was my stylist and not only was her bleach application splotchy and zig-zagged, she left the bleach on my hair for 3 freaking hours and left me in the chair while she went to handle a different clients hair cut. I had to tell her assistant that I was uncomfortable with my hair processing that long and caught attitude from the stylist for it. With her being the owner and with her experience, she should have been able to tell that after 30 minutes of bleaching that I would have needed to to come in for a second round processing. But instead, she completely destroyed the health of my hair and toned it to look like a pair of dull khaki pants with copper roots. I’ve lost all of my natural curl, the color is all spotted and orange and my hair feels like broom bristles! She either had no idea what she was doing or did it intentionally, either way DO NOT COME TO THIS place for anything more than a simple trim-YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Central location on brook hollow - cut and tone - second time with Brenda- I did not want Brenda for this appointment. My reservation showed a different stylist - extremely unprofessional- talking about going to court and her problems - she was very stressed and did not pay attention to my cut - so I came in with one style that I wanted just shaped up a little and left with a completely different style that I hate. In addition she did not leave the toner in for a sufficient amount of time - on their Booksy site it’s $95 for cut and tone that’s what I booked - I left and was charged 135.00 - I’ll not go back to this location again - I’ll go back to the original stylist at the central location instead. Learned my lesson if you have a bad feeling about a salon - trust your instincts -

I love this hair salon! They have a very wide variety of hair styles to choose from, Including a rear end selection! I saw a lady get hers done on tiktok and I wanted to try it and it was true, they were able to give me THIRTY TWO braids on my rear end and it really spiced things up between me and my husband. Thank you! 😍😘

IF I COULD GIVE THEM 0 STARS I WOULD ! Burned all my hair off by leaving bleach on for over 15 minutes… literally left it on for 4 HOURS! My hair has not grown since then LAST YEAR. Over 6 inches gone

This was my first time at Medusa The Salon. I walked in and consulted with Emily about the cut and highlights I wanted. The next day I was booked. The detail and work that Emily put into my hair and experience I can’t recommend more highly. She was very professional and fun to sit with for the time it took to create my new look. I’m more than satisfied with my experience and I will be back for sure! Thanks again Emily and everyone at Medusa.

Debated on posting this because don't like posting bad reviews. My experience: way overpriced! 100 plus bucks for a trim, really?? My hair did not even look good after i wound up paying to have it fixed at another salon. I also want to say the place needs a deep clean pretty dirty and dark interior. Its not in a great area and there is no place to park so that was stressful. The staff wasn’t very friendly at all. My stylist barely talked me and when they did they said something insulting regarding how old i was. On a positive note they did offer wine which helped with the experience. I go to a salon now in Olmos park, much more affordable and my hair looks good now. Maybe i went on a off day so i uped the rating to a 2…

Great work done by Cynthia.. she took her time was very attentive to what my daughter had requested and really did exactly what she asked for. We will be going back here for sure. 75$ for shampoo, deep conditioning, cut & style & tip was really a great deal. Be sue to have a photo of what you’re wanting done (before getting started)as a guide it truly helps

Great, great salon. Marguerite was a such a good hair stylist. It was my first time here. I went from long hair to a pixie cut and she paid a lot of attention to detail on what I wanted. My hair came out looking awesome. I found my new place. I will be going back.

MJ is the best! He is extremely knowledgeable and has a good eye for what works best for my face frame and hair texture. It never fails, each time I leave the salon after his service, I receive numerous complements on my hair. His color knowledge is next level. My grays are unwieldy, he has helped me to manage them to minimize the gap in between visits. Thank you MJ!!!!!!

My scalp looks like I got scalped and that's only the toner which didn't take, however, was told it would. I hadn't taken photos of the black that encovered my ears and forhead before going to Sally's and buying dye remover. Never in my life have I left a Salon with dye on my face let alone my scalp. I had to cancel a work event tonight due to this. Also, didn't style my hair, just dried it.
