If you’re looking for mediocre service and subpar results, Medusa’s Attic is not the place for you. I understand the anxiety that comes with trusting someone to make significant changes to your hair. After all, hair is a major part of one’s identity, especially for many women. While hair does grow back, a bad haircut can leave a lasting impression. Having recently given birth, I’ve been experiencing postpartum hair loss, which left me feeling uncertain and discouraged about cutting my hair. However, Jeff made me feel completely at ease. He reassured me that my hair would grow back and even pointed out the new growth already coming in. With his expertise, he trimmed and styled my hair in a way that made it look full and healthy again. I can confidently say that I trust Jeff with my hair, and I highly recommend his services to anyone seeking a skilled and thoughtful stylist.

I really appreciated the extended hours and his flexibility on getting me a last minute appointment. He took his time listening to what I wanted and gave helpful advice and encouragement. Brought my granddaughter into Jeffrey today what an amazing experience. The shop is so artistic and fun and Jeffrey was so kind and a great master Stylist. Would recommend this to anyone who has tweens to seniors!

Loved this place! The atmosphere was relaxing and the stylist is very personable. He accommodated me on short notice and took the time to talk through some different products I can use on my very thick, somewhat dry hair. I’ll definitely be booking again in the near future.

Wow! I took a chance on this salon and was not disappointed. Jeffrey is a true artist and a very kind soul. I am so glad I found a new salon. It's not easy to find someone who cuts women s short hair.

Called Jeffrey last mintue on a Sunday and he was so accommodating to fit me in his schedule. What a great experience. Private salon w a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Jeff does amazing work. Love how convenient his new salon is in Sarasota. I have very fine straight hair so I go to Jeff for a perm twice a year. Love having that full body look that only he can give me. He really listens to his clients and knows his stuff. I look forward to it every time.

I recently visited Medusa's Attic and I am so delighted with the results. Jeff is incredibly talented and knows exactly how to bring out the best in my hair. He listened attentively to my requests, offered valuable suggestions, and skillfully executed the cut and style. I was a hairstylist back in the 80's but didn't continue with it as my heart wasn't in it anymore. Along the way as a hairstylist I met my share of hairstylists. The majority of them always had one thing that they were really good at. So today when I met Jeff I was blown away. This man(gentleman) was so, so knowledgeable in numerous hair techniques. From color, cuts, extensions, hair glazing, hair straightening, hair glossing and the list goes on and on. Please go to his website. I have been a client of Jeffrey's for almost 15 years! He has so much experience and expertise while continuing to stay up to date with current styles and trends. He did a fantastic job helping me transition from regularly coloring my hair to embracing the gray! We have changed my hairstyle/length many times throughout the years and he always listens to my suggestions, offers suggestions of his own and loves when I bring him photo ideas! He pays attention to my hair (texture) and my lifestyle needs (low maintenance hair) and knows what can and can't work for me. I also love that he doesn't use much products on my hair and never tries to sell me products. Highly recommend his services for all your hairstyling needs.

When I first moved to Sarasota 9 years ago, Jeff was the first hair stylist I saw. I told him that if I liked the outcome, I would make a standing appointment with him every four weeks. I am still seeing Jeff every four weeks, and make my appointments one year in advance! (We realized very early on that we grew up in the Detroit area very close together and we always have something to chat about). Jeff always understands what I am looking for in my cut, hair color and style. He makes good suggestions and always follows through to make sure I am happy with my hair color and cut. I have never been disappointed in any of his hair styling services. Jeff has many years of experience in his profession and is very knowledgeable of his products (non-ammonia hair color!) and new techniques. His new salon is wonderful and peaceful. I highly recommend Jeff for his expertise in hairstyling, hair color, and cut.

I highly recommend Jeff at Medusa’s Attic. I was very nervous because a lot of times when I get my hair done people usually don’t quite give me what I was hoping for, but Jeff communicates thoroughly and kept me a part of the process every step of the way ensuring that my hair turned out even better then I imagined it would. I went in with box dyed black hair and he gave me the most perfect summer balayage, I literally went from boring black hair to a honey caramel dimensional brunette, i’m obsessed. I couldn’t be more confident in my decision and i’m so glad I found Jeff to help me maintain my hair and I trust he can give me exactly what i’m looking for every time! The products he uses are amazing as well, I was surprised that there were no harsh chemical/bleachy smells throughout the process, and the integrity of my hair was never compromised after the bleaching and toning i’m so excited!! He is extremely passionate about his (hair) art and his experience and talent definitely show. Thank you Jeff!!

I recently had a fantastic experience with Jeff. I went in for a cut and color , and I couldn't be happier with the results. Jeff gave me the confidence and inspiration to make a much needed update to my color and cut. Jeff took time to listen to what I wanted (and what I didn't want) and the cut was precise and stylish, and the color clipped 10 years off my appearance. Not only was his service top notch the salon was super cool, inviting and relaxing. The entire experience was excellent and I am happy to say I'm getting a ton of compliments!! Jeffrey was incredibly accommodating and worked around my crazy schedule to make sure I got in before leaving town. He did extensions for my wedding and they were perfect! He customized the whole style to give volume and length but still maintain a natural look - he’s a true artist! If you’re looking for personalized service and a fantastic finished look…he’s the one! This was my first experience at Medusas Attic and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The salon is gorgeous and the ambiance inviting. I damaged my hair with every day activities from the pool, the beach, the sun and even wearing my hair up in a wet bun. Pretty much not taking care of my hair like I should. Jeff took his time to address my hairs needs. We first began with a shampoo, then went to a Malibu detox and deep conditioner, a detailed haircut, and finished off with a luxurious dry and style. Jeff was very knowledgeable. He explained the products he used and how to use them for best styling performance. You can tell he is an artist with great passion. I am so grateful for his explanations every step of the way because now I understand the why and how a hair product should be used to get the most of it. I came in the salon optimistic because he came highly recommended and left the salon feeling more confident in my appearance than ever. I am very pleased and grateful for my hair transformation. I would also like to mention that setting up the appointment was easy, I am glad to know that he is able to work with my schedule. I have found my new stylist. Today was the second time I went to Jeff. I've had the same hair style for ever. I told him I wanted something funky. I wanted something that it didn't matter if it got all messy & Jeff delivered both times, they were funky, I love them..He put a real pretty toner on my white hair, its really shiny now All & all he did a great job, Thanks Jeff!!

Truly a VIP experience! I always enjoy getting my hair done at Medusa's Attic. Jeff listens to my ideas and executes them with expertise. He's fantastic with fun colors and I always get compliments on my hair. My hair is healthy after every bleach and color because he uses ammonia free hair color. The salon is a work of art in itself. I feel like I am truly in Medusa's attic! I preferer the personal salon experience here as opposed to loud and crowded salons. The coffee bar is definitely a pIus. I appreciate Jeff working with my busy schedule. His services are reasonably priced. I can trust he won't overcharge me or have hidden fees. My hair has never been healthier!

Truly a hidden gem, in terms of styling and studio design. Will forever remember my experience, love the care you could clearly see that went into his space and craft. Not to mention showing me how to take care for my hair, with different products to try. Usually it takes 1 to 2 days for me to get used to any haircut i get especially when i started to cut my hair past shoulder length, but after he worked his magic i felt like it wasn’t even a question how good my hair looked. Leaving me endlessly satisfied, definitely going there for my next new look.
