Melinda is my stylist and is absolutely amazing, and everyone in the shop does a beautiful job . My mom and I have been coming for years and I just love my hair every time. Make an appointment and go. Color dye, braids, flat iron, hair cut, men’s cut. They do it all!!! 10/10 Would recommend

I have been going to Melinda for years! She is amazing. Her skill set is unmatched and she cares about the health of your hair and she takes the time to explain to you how your hair is doing and what steps she can be taken to get it where it needs to be be. Excellent and professional. Comes highly recommended! If I could give 10 stars I would!

I have known Malinda for a long time!! I started my hair care quite some time, but lost contact because of my work. My sister continued with her and thankfully l started back recently with Malinda!! It is hard to find talented and reliable black hair dressers or salons that specialize in black hair care in Arizona. Malinda has both the skills and the shop!! My hair has been short for most of my life due to stress and poor hair care on my part. Oooo my, I’m not lying when l say my hair is AMAZING, now!! Long and so healthy and l WILL NOT stop going to her; Malinda is stuck with me. And Rie her assistant, she is Great with helping in my hair care (washing, conditioning and blow out) ! The shop is filled with lots of talent and personable ladies. I love these ladies and Malinda and Rie are my girls and family!!

Been going here since March. The women here are lovely and I love the atmosphere. Giving 4 stars because I did not enjoy my last appointment at all! Even with my disappointment, I would still recommend the salon to others because usually the finished product is good and at a fair price.

Drove 30 minutes out my way to be told she wasn't going to do my daughter hair because she was crying..Real reason was two clients she jumped on over us.. .Ghetto and unprofessional. Scared to do kids' hair. Grown azz people. You not a hair shop far am concerned. I wouldn't recommend bringing your kids or yourself to this place. Plenty places that would do the job professionally.

I have not had the pleasure of using Melinda’s services but I’d been excited to do so. I spoke with someone last week who was super helpful, answered pricing info and availability easily. I was waiting for my product to come in so that I could make the appointment. The person who answered the phone today was not a good representation of this business. And people in reviews have written they were hung up on, well, that happened to me today as well. The person was very short with me, wanted me to drive all the way from where I am staying so they could determine price for a sewin. Last week I was given a price including all the nuances. When I asked if I really had to come in…then make another appointment to come back…the phone was magically disconnected. Now Melinda’s may have a phone without caller ID, but most businesses with a good customer service focus, would call the person back. I’m really not sure what happen, not sure of the quality of the hair service that might have been provided, but I do know that the service i received over the phone, has me taking my business, and the business of my family somewhere else. It’s not consistent. I feel like someone can quote me a price over the phone, then I drive all the way out there for them to tell me that’s not really the price. We are snow birds so don’t have a regular hair stylist. We thought we had found a home from some of the reviews, even though we are an hour away. We were willing to make the drive. We did not find a home. The woman who answered said she was a stylist…I could never have someone with such negative energy touching my crown. That’s just my personal experience over the phone. Nothing to do with the hair service that might have been provided.

Had a last-minute appointment for my daughters 8th grade dance, and they got me in and made my daughters day!! Stylish was excellent. The rest of the crew had me laughing as well!! Will definitely go back!!

It is very hard finding a stylist who is professional, knowledgeable, and gives you what you want. Miss Traci did a beautiful job with my silk press! She also cut, layered, and styled my hair the way I envisioned! Thanks again! Will be going back! Ps. My fiance said I look sexy! Tehe. 😊

Keisha gave me a new cut and style I love! She asked me to text her a current photo of me and a photo of what I want my hair to look like, which thoroughly impressed me. She did "homework," later texting me two YouTube videos of haircuts I might want, and I chose one. She takes her time with each customer, and gives your hair the attention it deserves. Definitely going back, as I've found my new favorite stylist!

I enjoy coming to the salon, where they do hair how it’s supposed to be done! My hair is growing, retaining length, and I’m learning how to actually care for my hair . Melinda educates me on the purpose of each product, how/why they are used, and takes care of my hair at the same time. The salon is always clean, on time with my appointments, and communicates if there is a schedule conflict.

I met a lady in walmart with the flyest short hairstyle i've ever seen. She gave me Melindas card and I couldn't be more grateful!!! Not only is she great at what she does but she knows how to work with mixed womens hair texture (if you know the struggle you know lol) !! The salon is super vibey, everyone is nice and its a very welcoming environment. This is my new permanent hair salon!

Great atmosphere. Service is always great. Usually can get in and out quickly. Most everyone usually very friendly. Glad I found a spot where I feel comfortable going and takes good care of my hair. Melinda takes great care of me.

Hands down the best hair salon I’ve ever been to in my life. And Ms. Traci omg she was God sent if been looking for years for a good hairstylist and God just allowed me to walk past this shop and said go In here. Ms. Traci did my knotless braids and when I say she put her heart and soul into these braids I mean that. All I can do I thank God because this was all him 🙌. I started going to this shop when I had no hair, alopecia in spots it was horrible, Traci a stylist there without judgement asscessed my hair gave me options and styles that made me feel good about myself, my hair is growing and is healthy, not to mention she is the sweetest person. I pick styles and she makes it happen.Best experience ever!!!!!!!

Moved to Phoenix just under 2 years ago from Atlanta. Tried Melinda's hair salon within my first month of being in Phoenix, and have been going to Melinda's ever since! My hair is relaxed and color treated and has remained healthy despite moving to this extremely drier climate. I attribute that to the Melinda's expertise.

Ms Melinda did my hair she the owner, she did a wonderful job she flat iron my hair & cut my ends. I love the fact that her motto is all about health hair. I hadn’t been to a salon since 2018. Afriend recommended Melinda, she told me over the year she watch her do hair and she was great at what she did. My friend was right she did a wonderful job on my hair, I’ve had so many compliments. I finally found a hairdresser that I can trust my hair with. I recommend this Salon, Melinda is a expert when it comes to hair. She let you know what you need or don’t need when it comes to your hair. She let me know that my hair was healthy, I was glad for that. I will be a returning customer. Before I leave let me add this she got me in and out. No time wasted and great conversation. She the best
