Visiting from out of town and was able to get in for an 80-minute deep tissue with Jorge. The pressure was perfect, he was very professional, AND.... I just left with no pain at all!!! I'll be back when in town again!! Hands down the best massage I've had in a long time.

I've been seeing Lana for a few months now. I always feel welcome and rejuvenated following a session with her. She takes the time to ask about any problem areas and makes certain to focus on them. The rooms are clean and quiet, all of the staff are incredibly friendly. Great place to go to.

One of the best massages I’ve ever had! I go to masseuses 2 to 3 times a week and this was up there with the very best! Erin was my masseuse and she was hands down exceptional. Also very kind and caring!

I am very thrilled to have a membership with Mellow. I had an exceptional service! Luca was so professional, expert and knowledgeable. He gave me the best massage therapy ever! I will definitely request him next time. He is gentle, nice and kind! I felt understood by him. He listened to all my concerns and addressed them during the massage session.

Not worth the price. I got my 1st prenatal massage. I was relaxing sure but I let it be known I have severe neck, shoulder and back pain that is tormenting me. I work in the medical field. A massage that has little to no pressure at all is not what I needed. This could've been told to me right at the beginning when i notified them. Also I paid for 80 mins massage and get a 70. I watched the clock. Not relaxed and not feeling good any better than when I came in. She was nice but not what I needed. $150 was way too much

Took my mother in law for a massage, her massage therapist was Dorothy. Dorothy listened to all her concerns and she said that it was one of the best massage therapist she's had! Thanks for helping make her 50th birthday great!

This was a huge rip off. I tried to get a couples massage for my wife's birthday and while they did have us side by side, it was terrible. The floor was concrete so while undressing, you get to stand on a cold floor. A woman was doing my wife's massage. My wife's face pillow was sealed off by the sheet and so smothered her. She requested it be adjusted and it was making it ok. Then during the massage the tech was basically using the weight of her hands to do the massage and my wife requested that she apply more pressure. The lady barely did and somehow spent 90 minutes of the 110 minute massage on her back, then did 20 min on her front. My masseuse flirted with me in front of my wife throughout the massage making it super uncorrectable and very disrespectful to us as a couple. Upon paying I was strongly encouraged to tip, I said $20, feeling pressured to do so, but they charged 20% for each of us. I filled an official complaint and they came back offering almost the entire tip back, almost. Super terrible customer service and even worse massage. Would not recommend, big rip off.

Wonderful experience! Clean warm (heated table) plus hot towel treatment and Dorothy was very attentive and worked out all tension in my shoulders.

Have become a monthly member here and love it! Ryan was amazing and was very attentive to my concerns. I’ve tried many therapist and most of the time they just do what they want or comfortable with and he really listened and I will be back. Great location downtown too!

Milly was AMAZING. Book her - at least 90 mins. I booked 110 minutes and literally wished there was a longer option. 🤣 You won’t regret it. Her years of experience clearly show through her flow and targeted work. I had a long haul flight after weeks of work travel. She was able to get my muscles to release up and down my spine and shoulders, and I literally felt like a new person when I got up off the table.

Review for Mellows Massage I recently visited Mellows Massage, and unfortunately, it was literally the worst massage I’ve ever experienced. I left the appointment feeling frustrated, tense, and as though I had wasted my time and money. The massage therapist seemed to lack any professional training or understanding of basic massage techniques. Her approach was incredibly sporadic and disorganized, with no sense of flow or purpose. It felt like she was just randomly applying pressure to different areas with no rhyme or reason. To make matters worse, I specifically requested focus on my neck and upper back, as those are areas where I hold the most tension. Despite this, she completely avoided them during the session, which was both baffling and disappointing. Afterward, the business reached out to ask for feedback and offered me the option to book with a different therapist. While I appreciated the gesture, I was traveling for work and couldn’t take advantage of the offer. They offered no alternatives. That said, it’s disappointing that the service didn’t meet even the most basic expectations on my first visit. Overall, this was a thoroughly unpleasant experience, and I would not recommend Mellows Massage to anyone based on what I encountered. It’s clear that they need to reevaluate the training and professionalism of their staff if they want to provide a service that’s worth the cost.

He effectively resolved an appointment issue I had with my gift certificate, ensuring a seamless experience. During the massage, Jorge demonstrated exceptional skill and understanding of my body’s needs, providing targeted relief to areas of tension. I’m so happy I found this place! The place I was going prior had moved and I wanted something close to me. I was able to get in for an 80 minute deep tissue with Omar. I added cupping as well. I was greeted promptly and we chatted prior to massage. The typical things. The massage was fantastic. the pressure was perfect as my back was a tight mess. Omar was professional and skilled. I’m definitely coming back!

Joshua always seems to find not only the huge knots but also the little hidden ones that always give me grief. He is, without a doubt, the best masseur I've came across in 30 some years of getting massages. Joshua provided thee best massage I’ve experienced to date! As someone who has not only had many massages but who's a professional dancer. I have a deep understanding of the body & its ability to release when properly facilitated. What made Joshua so phenomenal, was his approach of listening to my bodies needs and reacting accordingly throughout the ENTIRE session. Not just here & there when hitting targeted “knots”. His technique is the closest thing I’ve experienced to TRUE Myofascial Therapy If you're looking for a massage that will allow you to fully release, identify rooted causes to areas of discomfort & leave you feeling like you're floating afterwards.. Mellow Massage is an oasis in the heart of the city. It is pretty central to most parts of the city and a very easy walk the from the Marina, Gaslamp or East Village neighborhoods. The open lobby wih it’s minimalist aesthetic draws a high contrast to the busy world outside. So calming. The massage rooms themselves have a clean minimalist feel as well. I have had a membership at mellow massage since November 2023. I have been a client of Joshua for the whole time. He is an excellent masseuse. My body holds a lot of stress and tension. His deep tissue massages always leave me feeling infinitely better than when I walked in. I am so very thankful that Mellow Massage is in San Diego.

Omar was my masseuse and he did an absolutely AMAZING job! I did the 80 mins Restorative Massage and he started off by asking me what my problem areas were, how much pressure I liked, etc. He worked my back, feet, and buttocks REAL good. I felt like a brand new person after having every knot in my body massaged into oblivion. Omar was super friendly and respectful and I’d certainly recommend him and Mellow Massage to anyone visiting San Diego!

Another 5 stars for Omar, I was visiting from out of the country and was very stressed from travel and a work trip and needed a good massage ASAP. Was able to book one online same day and Omar was able to deliver in completely relieving my stress and back pain. I would definitely be a regular if I lived in San Diego.
