Wonderful relaxing space and the appointment was easy to make. Mark was Amazing! He was professional and communicated throughout my treatment. I had some serious knots and tightness, but he was able to work it all out. I did the 110 minute treatment: massage and stretching. If I lived here, I'd be a regular. High five Mark! Exceptional experience.

If you’re really fit, Keenan is the massage therapist for you! He has a very calm energy but works your muscles with intuition and the perfect amount of pressure. Have had a monthly membership for over a year and it has been worth every penny! Markus is the best at finding any and all tension or tightness. When I have had specific injuries, my treatments at mellow massage have actively helped me go from being in debilitating pain to back up and running again. I cannot recommend Markus enough for deep tissue massages and cupping!

I had a frustrating experience with the scheduling system and communication at this massage place. I booked a same-day appointment online at 1:30 PM for a 7 PM massage. Shortly after, I received a text from Jack saying he couldn’t take me at 7 PM and asked if I could come at 8 PM instead. I informed him that I couldn’t make the later time, but after waiting an hour without a response, I asked if I should reschedule. Again, no response. Concerned about potential charges, I called at 5 PM to clarify. The person I spoke with told me to come in at my originally scheduled time of 7 PM, despite the earlier text. He also used the call as an opportunity to pitch their membership, which felt unprofessional given the situation. When I arrived around 6:45 PM, the front desk informed me that I could not be seen at the time I booked. This inconsistency and lack of clear communication between staff were incredibly frustrating and left me feeling like my time was not valued. While I’m sure the massage therapists are talented, the poor management and disorganized communication were enough for me to decide not to reschedule and not to return. I hope they improve their management, training, and systems to prevent other clients from having similar experiences.

It's a great massage place. I booked last minute, desperately needing a muscle spasm relief. Was able to get an appointment within an hour of the booking. Robbie was my masseur. Not only he worked the spasm out of my neck but also made several good recommendations. I know a thing or two about good massage - have been suffering from recurring spasm. I used to have an amazing masseur but he retired from this business years ago. Today I think I finally found another great one - after years of searching! I booked another appointment with him - so definitely coming back!

I’ve been working with Sam for several months. He has helped me alleviate pain in scar tissue from an old spinal fusion surgery and also recover during marathon training. He’s professional, funny, compassionate and kind. I look forward to my monthly massage.

As soon as I walked in, the dim lighting and audio set an ambience of relaxation. Elizabeth not only provided the level of massage I didn’t know I needed, she was also informative of the techniques used. From my lower back to my scalp, I walked out feeling different. I also purchased certificates for loved ones. I look forward to them having an excellent experience as well.

I was looking for a massage to relieve a nagging shoulder knot and pain. This was my second time at this location and both were phenomenal! Mellow Massage has excellent massage therapists who really listen and take care of your pain. I left feeling so much letter and the pain was gone. Highly recommend Mellow Massage!

After taking a year off from massages since my previous massage therapist changed careers and the other massage therapists recommended by another place did not work out, I am glad I tried Mellow massage. Easy to book and rescheduling. Brian is amazing. Mellow massage does charge a bit more. Atmosphere is great and already booked my next appointment.

Booked a prenatal massage to relax during vacation not having been to the spa before. Nora did an amazing job pampering me— my best prenatal massage to date. Would highly recommend to others and will be back. The facade is unassuming, don’t judge a book by its cover.

Environment was calming, quiet, and minimalistic. Everything was clean and timely. Deep tissue massages were the pressure requested and left us feeling relaxed and refreshed. Employees were polite and friendly. We will be back.

I've been a member at Mellow Massage for over two years now. Before choosing Mellow Massage I had tried other establishments in the SD area such as H2, The Knot Stop, Massage Science, Cascade Spa, and Karma Spa. I chose Mellow Massage for various reasons provided below, and so glad I did! Massage: 5/5 I get massages very often due to many many muscle aches, and the massages at Mellow Massage are one of the best I've had. While everyone has been great, particular shout out to Tommy, Alan, and Gabriela! Availability: 5/5 They have many massage therapists and many locations around SD. I've had no problem booking a same day massage after pulling a muscle or after a long hike when needed. Though if you want a specific therapist, you may need to book ahead of time. Misc: Free and abundant parking (University ave. location) Ralphs and Trader Joe's is near by, so I can do my grocery shopping after.

Martine Is by far the BEST massage therapist I have ever had. She spent time on my problem areas and I could really tell she is passionate about what she does. The entire time she checked to make sure I was comfortable as well. I feel so much better, and cannot wait for my next appointment with her already!

My massage therapist Samantha greeted me upon my arrival. She was very sweet and attentive to what I told her I needed worked on the most. I got a 50 minute restorative massage and Samantha did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable by asking me often if I’d like pressure changes and if my massage table was warm enough. She worked on my shoulder that I needed work on the most as well as the rest of my body leaving me feeling light and stress free. I will be coming back!

The staff is professional, experienced, friendly, and accommodating. They have a way of helping you relax and remove any tension you have. When the massage is over, I feel as if I’m in a dream like state. I’ve been going there for a few years now and have my appointments scheduled a year in advance! I have a friend that go there as well and he also schedules ahead!

Usually have a great experience here and I have been going to the Hillcrest location off and on for a years! I got an email about a birthday gift (30 free mins) and so I booked an appointment online. I even called and confirmed that they could add it to the time I wanted. A couple days before I got a reminder email but it only said 50 mins so I called back and the guy confirmed again he would add the free 30 mins. I checked in, the massage was decent but when it was over I checked my phone it was only like 45 mins so not even the original amount of time I paid for. I asked about the birthday thing and he just brushed it off and said they didn't have time today. Disappointed in this specific issue but typically happy with all my experiences before.

I was looking for a place to get a Swedish massage and found Mellow Massage. Ths atmosphere is quiet and soothing. Sam my masseur was polite, quiet and efficient. He was very respectful of my person. I would definitely return and ask for the same person .
