Metropolis Salon is my go to salon from here on out. I Recently moved to Columbia and in need of a curly cut. After searching online I came across this salon and debated for a while, well I should had taken the leap long time ago and came here sooner than later. Sarah Harrelson was my stylist and I am happy to say she did an amazing job! My curls have not felt this hydrated and this much loved since moving here. She was very kind and welcoming, she walked me through every step of the process, and at the end wrote down all the products she used and recommended. The pricing of the haircut was fair, and the pricing of the product was awesome as well. Their loyalty program is out this world and it actually rewards you and can’t forget their amenities! They have wine, coffee, snacks and more. The staff here were super friendly and welcoming. I didn’t think twice to schedule my next curly cut. If you’re still debating on what salon to go to for curly cuts, I highly recommend Metropolis Salon and book with Sarah. She was awesome!

I’ve been going here for over a year now to get a custom curly haircut. Sarah H. is my stylist. She’s super nice and friendly, and she’s amazing at what she does! She’s helped me to understand how to style and manage my curly hair. I’ve definitely gained a lot of confidence when it comes to my hair. Metropolis Salon is a sleek, clean, and fresh place to get my hair done. I went to Alex on recommendation of a friend for my wavy/curly hair. I’ve had varying results in the elsewhere and was struggling to find a place to do my hair. Alex leaves me happy every time I come to her chair. My hair looks fabulous, she did my wedding hair last year and is a delight to connect with. I’m so grateful for her and the salon that creates the calm, relaxing and fun environment.

They offer snacks and beverages, use high quality products, and it truly feels like a spa day. Every time I leave the chair my hair looks bright and healthy thanks to Alyssa. My experience today was by far the best I have ever had. In all of my 40+ years I have never known how to work with my curly hair. Nicole Rivera- Fox was hands down the best stylist I have ever had. Beyond greatful for Nicole Rivera Fox!! I got my hair done by my normal stylist in North Carolina. Something happened where my hair was soo orange and brassy (see pictures). I did not want to make a back to back two hour trip to get this fixed. I've seen her suggested all over facebook, she was so quick to respond & got me in within 2 days to get this fixed! She was very attentive & made sure I didn't leave the salon unhappy. We went to natural lighting to see this difference & she got me fixed just in time for my promotion ceremony. I was so pleased with the results & will be returning for highlights. Highly recommend & so happy for the results!

I have curly hair and hadn’t had a haircut in 2 years because I have been so scared of finding a new stylist(mine is in TN and I could never find the time to go when visiting). I bit the bullet and found Sarah H. I am in LOVE with my hair! I got it cut from halfway down my back to just above the shoulders. My hair has never looked so good, the layers and volume are perfect. She is incredibly skilled. I’ve found my new stylist! Thank you Sarah!

I’d like to preface this review by stating that I don’t usually ever leave hair salons satisfied with the result. I have a head full of 3b curls and have struggled to find the right stylist to properly cut and style it. Nicole Rivera Fox did an amazing job of listening to what wanted, and was able to tackle some previous color corrections I was dealing with. If you’re a curly girl struggling to find a place that suits you, do yourself a favor and book Nicole! The salon was also fabulous! It gives off upscale spa vibes and has a very relaxed atmosphere.

BEYOND THANKFUL FOR KIRA at Metropolis Salon!! She truly sets the bar higher than any stylist I’ve ever seen or known!! I’ve lived in a lot of different cities, and have more horror stories than good ones in this industry, however, Kira has COMPLETELY restored my faith and trust in the hair industry, truly surpassing my expectations every single visit!! Her extensive training shines through & she’s handled my course, wavy, multi-ethnic hair HANDS DOWN better than ANY other stylist ever has!!! I have zero reservations when I sit in her chair because she’s proven time and time again that she’s going to deliver even more than I expect and I LOVE IT!!! From cuts to color to style, I’ve never been disappointed. Metropolis salon is an entire vibe, blending class and excellence in all that they do, truly using and offering the best experience and top quality products. Do not sleep on this salon. Your expectations will be surpassed. And if a stylist (like Kira) is booked OUT, I PROMISE you they’re worth the wait. I waited 3 mos and I’d do it again in a heartbeat! For blow outs, I’d also recommend Mariana or Houston.

The staff and my stylist are amazing at this salon. I’ve been going to this facility for over a year. I’ve been seeing my stylist, Alex for years. I originally saw her at a different location. I love this salon so much more than the one she previously worked at. Everyone is so friendly here and it has such a relaxing and welcoming environment. I plan on going there for years to come. Found my forever salon and stylist! I was warmly welcomed from the moment I opened the door, offered beverages and snacks multiple times and anything else to make my experience enjoyable and relaxing. During my time with Nikita, she gave me a quick tour of the salon, made sure I was comfortable during the experience as well as comfortable with understanding the steps of creating beautiful curls at home. She talked me through every part of my curly cut and answered every question I had. I left the salon feeling confident to be able to replicate what she had done and my curls looked so hydrated, shiny, and beautiful!
