Had a haircut with YiLing today, although she was new here, she did a great job with my hair and did everything I wanted her to along with giving me tips on how to blowdry my hair. Highly suggest giving YiLing a try

Allen is hands down the best hairstylist I've encountered in New York. He is incredibly professional, attentive, and he takes his crafts seriously. Every visit with him is a wonderful experience, and I always leave satisfied with my hair. Highly recommend!

Being mixed Thai-Chinese and Pakistani, it’s always been a challenge to find the right hair salon. This was my first time getting a haircut here, and my first impression was amazing. The staff took great care of me and my partner, offering us water and making sure we were comfortable. You can clearly see the difference between the before and after! I’m incredibly satisfied with this haircut—the barber paid close attention to every detail to ensure I got the perfect style☺️✨ I don’t know the barber’s name, but I’d love to give him a big shoutout ❤️✨

I came here to go from black hair to light brown. After bleaching my hair twice, my hair was a yellow blonde color. I complained that this is not the color I asked for and I wanted a light brown. They dyed my hair again but it wasn’t light brown, more like gray brown. I was there the entire day so I went home. Three days later the dye came out and my hair was yellow again. I went back and they fixed it up but the dye continued to come out and my hair was yellow. I asked for a refund but they didn’t give me one. I spent $530. I had to dye my hair at home myself honestly & I should’ve just done that from the start. They said they didn’t understand what I wanted because of the language barrier but they had a translator there for me the whole time… horrible place. do not recommend.

Last Saturday was my second visit to MG Hair Salon, and this time I decided to dye my hair. The service was great, and everyone was very friendly. They took the time to talk to me about the color I wanted and how I wanted it. I was happy with my hair at first, but the next day I noticed some parts of the color were uneven. I reached out to them and was able to book an appointment for the same day. When I arrived, I showed the stylist the problem, and he was really nice about it. He assured me they would fix it. After the first try, I wasn’t completely happy with the color, but the stylist told me not to hesitate to share my thoughts. They worked until I liked it. After the second try, I was happy with my hair. The stylist even asked me to walk around and check if I wanted any changes. I felt comfortable and had a great experience at MG Hair Salon, even better than before. What I really liked was that the stylist told me I could come back anytime if I wasn’t happy with my hair after going home. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend MG Hair Salon!!

everyone was super friendly and patient. JJ cut my hair exactly how I wanted, put in a lot of care, and checked in throughout to make sure I was happy with it. He also answered all my questions and was just pleasant to be around :)

Absolutely fantastic experience at this salon! I went in with a vague idea of what I wanted, and Alan, my stylist, brought it to life perfectly. He took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and offered great advice on what would suit me best. The attention to detail was impeccable, and I left feeling like a new person! The salon atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the entire staff is friendly and professional. Highly recommend Alan if you’re looking for a stylist who really knows his stuff. The result was even better than I imagined—my hair looks vibrant, healthy, and absolutely stunning! The salon itself is so cozy and welcoming, and everyone there made me feel like a valued customer. Stylist JJ was incredible at adapting a cut and color based on some different type of hair nspo that I brought to my appointment. Getting my haircut is often very hit or miss, especially when trying to execute recent trends, but JJ's consultation was clear and stopped at key points to align with my own vision (a wash-and-go level of maintenance, a burgundy purple ish color that's not too bright or damaging, leaving some length to keep at least chin length hair so I can grow out for an important event next year) The burgundy color he formulated was spot on, not too red and not too bright, but brilliant under full sunlight. (Single process, no bleach) And my ask for a jellyfish-like wolfcut was taken with precising skills and thoughtful recommendations (side layers, bangs thickness and length) He helped me take some pics of how it looked from the back, after some meticulous styling.

This place is worth every single dollars in my bank account, The workers definitely have pride in their work. I gave them a reference photo for the type of perm & haircut I wanted, they not only adjusted it to pertectly to match my face but also took the time to explain why. Definitely will be coming back

I went in to dye my whole head (requiring bleach) which is really damaging but my stylist Allen really knew what he was talking about. He was able to accommodate, doing whatever he could to try and fulfill what I wanted. In the end I got exactly what I wanted with not too much damage, the service is also great. The staff was constantly asking if I was okay, or if I wanted a snack/drink. They even provided a mini handheld fan for me while I was doing the coloring at the hair wash station! Overall amazing and will definitely be back (if I have money 🥹).
