I have been getting my brows done by Vivian for about a year now-she always does a great job! For the holiday season I decided to treat myself to my first facial and Vivian did an incredible job! My skin feels fantastic and I will definitely be getting a facial with her again in the future. I highly recommend the brow and facial services here!

I have been going to Michael's for 30+ years and have never left his chair without feeling absolutely wonderful. I would recommend him to all and is extending his business to include many other beauty options since his offspring have joined in his salon venture. My youngest, who is 20, is also a Michel fan...even after expressing that he does 'old lady hair'. She has learned by experience that he and his employees do much much more!

okay this review is looooong overdue. I got the best haircut of my LIFE from Alisa, who my roommate recommended I go to. She's fabulous and exactly the person you need to see if you want a perfect cut that boosts your confidence.

Love my hair cuts with Alisa, she's great and so sweet. They are very reasonably priced and have a pleasant atmosphere inside the shop. Would recommend!

I just left Michael Hair Salon and I couldn’t be any HAPPIER with my haircut. Diana did my hair. She gave me the Deva Cut (dry haircut) and I’m LOVING it!!! I feel and look SO MUCH better. She was very pleasant and knows exactly what she’s doing. I’m so happy that I FINALLY found a hair salon that doesn’t just CLAIM to know how to cut curly hair but KNOWS EXACTLY how to cut curly hair (I have 3B curls, FYI)!!! I paid $108 but if you go with cash, it’s 4% less than that, $104 (and I had long hair - took off about 2 ½ inches). Just go!

A bad haircut takes forever to grow out. NEVER in my lifetime have I had a haircut as bad as this agonizingly ugly cut that Diana gave me. I showed up with gorgeous long hair and asked for a TRIM and I left with short hair, basically a basic bowl cut. Not exaggerating. Ugliest haircut ever. Today I decided to start over by getting a crew cut. I miss my long hair every time I look in the mirror. It’ll be another year to fix this disaster.

I’ve been coming to see Debbie at Michael’s for at least 10 years. I love the atmosphere, and Debbie is one of a kind. She has been coloring my hair and cutting it since before Michaels and I would follow her anywhere. I’m very happy she ended up at Michaels because I like all the people who work there, it’s a professional atmosphere, and they have a great outdoor space where they will do your hair in good weather.

Michael is an awesome stylist and colorist. He's got a really good eye and can lead you if you're not sure. Also, he is a good listener. I finally found my hair person and I'll be sticking with him!

Michael's is my happy place. No frills, just really great people and really great stylists. I have been here twice and refuse to go anywhere else. Alisa is the kindest soul, just beaming with joy, and truly gifted. Both haircuts she gave me were flawless (and I have curly hair!!! So yeah, not that easy to do). I even brought my daughter and she was through the moon with her cut. I can't say enough about this place. The prices can't be beat, but I would gladly pay more. Also you can get your haircut in the beautiful backyard!

First time customer. Alisa gave me the most beautiful, flattering, shaggy bob today. She knew exactly what my hair needed. I left transformed and very happy. Could not believe the extremely reasonable price. I spent four times what I paid at Michael at another Park Slope salon and that haircut paled in comparison to Alisa’s cut. I will be back again and again!

I recently moved to the area and needed to freshen up the look. Michael Hair Salon was close, has a wonderful small business atmosphere with optional outdoor service, and offered easy online booking. I had a cut and color from Alisa and absolutely loved the results. She was very kind and helpful in making style decisions. It was an all around great experience. I will be back!

This salon has such a great energy! All staff were laughs and cheery on a rainy Saturday. Diana did my cut and color and she was super good at interpreting my photos into the end result. If you’re wondering whether to book - def give it a shot!

I like this place. The prices are decent, The stylists are good, the place is clean and comfortable, in good weather there is a garden in the back. Located just off the NW corner of 7th Ave. and 9th Street in Park Slope, it's just next to the 7th Ave. stop on the F train. There's a discount for cash, and Smiling Pizza across 7th Ave. has an ATM, and good pizza, too. Enjoy!

In my search for an affordable Brooklyn hair salon, I came across Michael Hair Salon, and I'm so happy I did! I've gone to Alisa twice now for my blonde highlights and she's done an excellent job. I showed her a picture and she was able to match it exactly. And the prices are amazing! Michael's has become my new go-to.
